What version of affinity should I run? I want to run tempered, but it feels inconsistent. All of the other versions also feel inconsistent. Ugh. I love the deck too! It's just inconsistent :/

pick your poison,it depends on what type of deck you would oppose. just do your worst. "I'd pick burn affinity on the 1st game, then switch to tempered on the 2nd."
I haven't seen it discussed anywhere, but have people tried out Aether Vial, or does this simply put you too far into the later turns? I would figure a build with Tezz and Disciple of the Vault could use it?

With as much acceleration as the decks already run, it almost slows you down. I mean, it's worth a go in Tezz builds, but I can't see it being worth it. To each his own though.
Has anybody run Whipflare for creature heavy opposition? I was thinking about siding it in, but am on edge about it.

In a creature heavy meta (not including an excess of Affinity for obvious reasons) I think it's worth running. It gives you a really strong tempo advantage and I find it invaluable against Delver.
Do you guys feel the ravangers are 100% needed? Im in the process of building and have most besides them and the glimervoids. I was talking to a guy who plays it for modern and said he didnt find him worth it.
he is just for big finnishes and to push extra damage in. also hes good if u draw more that one opal cause i can use it sac drop another.
on the dispatch post, i think the burn to the dome is the reason. im adding 2 boros charms one my blasts now for the ds and protection without loosing the for the dome ability

not 100% needed, but he helps alot with:
-targeted removal
-final pushes (they declare blockers, you sac all your artifacts then sac the ravager onto something unblocked).
-sweepers when paired with welding jar
he's definitely worth it slot-wise, but money-wise it's probably the best thing to drop when strapped for cash. you can also replace glimmervoids with city of brass with relatively little trouble

Arcbound Ravager is good for utility because you'll sometimes find yourself in situations that only Arcbound Ravager can really deal with (not losing everything to a boardwipe by throwing counters onto a man land for example). However, it's not necessary. Steel Overseer can perform in Ravager's place quite adequately, and the P/T of creatures can really get out of hand when unattended, and can be doubly annoying with something like Master of Etherium.
As for Dispatch, Galvanic Blast and Shrapnel Blast can take out most threats in Modern, so Dispatch is sort of superfluous. A case could be made for something like a 5/6 Goyf, but I understand that Deathrite Shaman has resulted in a cutting down of Goyf in Jund lists, which is currently the primary deck that used Tarmogoyf. And, as a lot of people said, hitting the dome is important in a deck that focuses on scoring quick kills. If you're in a format with a lot of really big creatures, I could see some case for running a pair in the sideboard, but otherwise, Galvanic Blast and Shrapnel Blast are usually better.
If you expect a lot of Soul Sisters or some other deck wich can gain a ton of life Inkmoth can be valueable, otherwise Blinkmoth Nexus is always the better choice.
I'm a firm believer of 4 Blink/ 4Ink. (If I could carry 5/5 and get away with it , I would)
I would cut two memnites, if necessary, to make room. Remember that Ink/Blink are CREATURES. Ones that are safe from creature type removal while not active (usually in your opponents turn) Memnites don't do much more than chump block and add to our arti. count for "Mox opal" and "Thoughtcast". Blinks and Inks FLY.
On a different note, I think adding 1 to 2 basics (of your choice) is smart as "Path to Exile" is poised to good things with all the greedy Mana bases out there, and "Ghost Quarter" is almost becoming "necessary" with Tron running around. It's nice to have a basic or two to responed to those cards.

Maybe just go with 4 blinkmonth / 0 inkmonth or 4 inkmonth / 0 blinkmonth and add 2 more color lands but is hard to decide with one.
Thoughts?
