Wow, Magus of the Moat that's bold card to be playing. I really like it, but the 3 toughness has always turned me away from it. Do you manage keeping him alive?
Also you're only running 22 lands with a list that reliant upon the 4 drops, have you considered Mind Stone or Boros Signet?
Indeed............my thoughts exactly- although magus of the moat has gone up in value (as moat has) I never thought it would see serious play, unlike its tabernacle cousin that at least gets legacy airing as well as here. And yeah, that is a balls-out mana base for sure with all those 4cc cards.

I understand the 3 toughness is "weak" but I'm willing to take that risk. This is kind of like a "dies to doomblade" argument for me, in the sense that path kills it, bolt/anger kills it, dismember kills it, doomblade kills it...but those all kill a LOT of great creatures that still get ran. Moat isn't my lock, it's another piece of the lock. Him along with moon, prison, walls, ajani, and my burn, it's just added "barriers". As far as lands go, I've either been extremely lucky in my games, or 22 and my walls are perfect. A little of both maybe? I've been told more times than not to run 24 lands...I used to run 24 but I would get flooded more often than not.

Not sure its a "dies to doomblade argument"- more a 4 mana for something dies to one mana- a huge tempo swing.....I honestly cannot think of a 4 or more mana critter that dies to a bolt in the format that gets played, other than ones that are meant to like revilark or ones that win the game on the spot like kiki-jiki. Of course like kiki you are protecting it to a large extent- spellskites. So it might work. I wish it were 1/4 though, like the eidolon that does a rule of law impression......

There any number of different evolutionary directions where Waste Not can go. Would it be O.K. if we take it out of the wrapper, and play with it for a little while? If and when it falls apart, we collectively promise that you can say, "I told you so".

If you are going to use wall of omens you could make it a twin finishing list- kiki-resto for the win.....
Bridge + skite is fine too- the boros bridge lists are well established, with the strongest possible aggro matches- winning with pws already in your list. They have weaker tron/control matches cf aggro, but not totally unwinnable with a focused board.
If you do use arbiter then mystifying maze is good. Its not very good in bridge lists, but in ghostly prison lists it is very useful, esp vs affinity. Not so good with blood moon.
Storage matrix is ok with prison if you get ahead.
If you cut critters down then magus of the tabernacle is playable.

I really cant run bridge in my list because I need to attack. I do like Tabernacle, but as you stated, its unplayable right now in my list. I like maze, but again, with 5 moons, it's not really an option. I like storage matrix, but i'm afraid it would end up burning me more than them.
What about cutting magus of the moat and adding either condemn or chain to the rocks instead of arbiter?

You could indeed just use more spot removal or even mass removal. I would up to 4 ghostly prisons in any ghostly build though.

So this interests me a for a build with Flagstones:
Just as a one-of. Not sure it's worth it but, it's interesting.
Wish it was enchant player. Wizards seem intent on making mana denial a thing of the past.....
If we could combine it with an effect to search lands and put them into play......

Luminarch ascension- great card in empty throne builds relying on enchantments. You have 5 mana red beatsticks to win the game, and drawing ascension in multiples is bad.

So I have been running UW Tron recently, but after seeing this deck I am very interested since this is a little like the Angle Fire deck Melissa Detora posted last year and was the first modern deck I made. I love land destruction and playing pain in the ass decks (I played OmniDoor back in the day in standard). It seems like there are a lot of variants though in this thread mostly because it seems like there are 2 decks here and its hard to distinguish them apart. Can someone point me into the right direction for the best deck for the MTGO meta?

Worth reading all the primer which goes through the variants. The bridge/blood moon lockdown decks are better vs aggro, worse vs tron, pod and have a mediocre control match. They get free blood moon wins quite often.
The landkill ones with taxes and magus are better vs control, weaker vs aggro, and get free wins via opponent's forgetting to pay magus (default option is applied if they draw) and mana screw being magnified.
The ones with cute recursive combos are worse in general, the least competitive.
The ones with twin combos are critter based and can be spotted by the presence of resto et al, and win the quickest.
MTGO is a very varied beast.
Either deck needs a leyline plan for certain decks from the board.

I was considering a different/side win condition for a stax variant. After reading the primer, I'm still not entirely sure which end it would fit into better (Boros Bridge or RW Land denial). The idea was to splash black (maybe) and add Spiteful Visions (and Underworld Dreams if you're playing black). The deck would be similar to the aggressive version of Owling Mine {open in new tab} in that it would also include proactive damage spells like Sudden Impact and potentially Toil // Trouble. Adding in the 'damage per card in hand' cards may be too much to include, so if no black can be added then running only Spiteful Visions would be good. If one is efficient at getting rid of their board, a number of Psychosis Crawlers could be of use. In this version, if things such as Temple Bell or Howling Mine are not added in, Bottled Cloister would be just fine. You of course hope that they are at less life than you, in which case I would more strongly want black in the deck for both Underworld Dreams and Fate Unraveler.
