Mossborn Hydra is cool cause you can play it on turn 3 and there's a few diff ways you can be lethal on turn 4. Scapeshift is the easiest, but any combination of cards that lets you play 5 lands after dropping Hydra works and there's a lotta ways to do that. Like fetch land for 2 triggers, Harrow for 2 more, and Charm or Tribe Elder for the 5th. Dryad can help play more lands and of course can set you up for a Valakut win too if that's what your hand lent itself to.
The Valakut win is just about getting to 6 lands fast with Dryad or Prismatic out and just doing lots of damage with fethces and land searchers or having 6 lands out and playing Scapeshift to get the Valakuts and other lands to deal lethal on the spot.
