Hey everyone, I'm new here, so I apologize if I screw something up.
I'm just getting back into MTG after a few years away, and I've looked up a couple deck builds so I go down to my LGS and play some Modern there. After an afternoon of tweaking, here's what I came up with:
Any thoughts or ideas on how to make this deck better/more fun are welcome!

Hey everyone! Super new here, and I'm just getting into (semi) competitive deck building. Here's what I came up with after watching some game play and deck techs. Trying to stay under $225 (right now its at around $205), but I'm super open to suggestions. Not looking to place in any GP's, just want to stand a chance at Modern Night at my LGS
Heartless Summoning into Myr Retriever an infinite amount of times. Pair it with Falkenrath Noble for infinite life drain, or tutor for Alter of the Brood to get infinite mill. You can tutor for both pieces of the main combo with Muddle the Mixture or Shred Memory (swap out if you need graveyard hate). Perilous Myr provides some easing and repeatable pinging, and Myr Superion can be infinitely put from the graveyard to your hand and cast for free as a 4/5, providing good blockers if you don't have your combo pieces in order.
Would cards like Walk the Plank and Doom Blade be better off as Fatal Push? Great deck idea. I really like it.
Thanks for the feedback! Doom Blade/ Walk the Plank are more emergency spot removal. they can take care of anything (think Tron, where there's a huge 5/5 with infect or something ungodly like that)for only one extra mana. Walk the Plank is mainly for black tron, where doom blade is for anything else. I might give it Fatal Push a try though.
Myr Retriever's text reads "return another artifact card to hand...."
...Which is why he's playing more than one of them?
OT: It seems like you're trying to go two ways with this, and I doubt it's working out very well. Superion is a dead card without Summoning, and if you have summoning you'd be better off comboing. He might have a place in a Jund build that runs Burning-Tree Emissary to give you 8 ways to drop him (12 with Bloodbraid Elf), but you don't do any of that here.
Running 8 conditionally tapped lands (that don't help each other) is a huge tempo loss, and you'd probably be better off if the Estuaries were Underground River (Darkslick Shores or various fetches would be ideal, but you're on a budget.) ANd, given what you're planning on doing, a single Academy Ruins probably wouldn't hurt things too much.
Not seeing how Perilous Myr is repeatable, seeing as you'd need to burn a Retriever to do it. I think this deck would DEFINITELY benefit from Scrap Trawler so you can do the things you think you can.
2 discard spells is not enough... The point is to see one in your opening hand so you can either neuter your opponents degenerate things, or preemptively protect YOUR degenerate things. 6 is generally the right number, and as you don't have the funds to run 4 TS + 2 Collective Brutality, I'll just have to note that Inquisition of Kozilek is surprisingly affordable now, with Duress generally being considered the "best" no-money option.
I like Bontu's Monument more than Falkenrath Noble, because it costs less mana, and is harder to remove.
It seems like you're fine with it, but I should note, this just seems like a clunkier version of Krark-Clan Ironworks Combo.
Personally, I kind of like the idea of running the combo in a midrange shell, with value creatures like Plaguecrafter and Ravenous Chupacabra that are fine if you have to play them normally, and are great when you have a Summoning down (receiving the full discount AND not immediately dying).
In any case, you probably do not need 4 copies of Altar of the Brood. It is hot garbage that just accelerates like... 2/3 of the decks in the format, unless you're at the point where you're comboing off with it.
