So I don't have this worked out entirely. Looking for some advise on how to complete this combo deck.
Basic idea is to play a few Saga cards then manipulate the counters on them to control the board.
Just from the looks of it I would think this deck would be weak to targeted discard and countermagic. But has a very strong lock once it gets rolling.
First and foremost is Clockspinning With this card you can manipulate quite a lot of things. From shrinking planeswalkers and oozes to changing together your saga activations and much more.
The main sagas I see as targets would be
The Eldest Reborn. With this out and a Clockspinning you get to control the board in a very powerful way. As soon as you play it it has a little impact on the board. Very nice after a Damnation or other sweeper. Then as you spin the counters you can make them discard a card on your turn and then immediately sac another perm. Late game (after getting 8 lands) you can add the counter to make them discard at the end of their draw step and then sac a guy right after that to hold them empty handed and with a clear board.
Just playing it and letting it tick up will be enough to win some games on its own, usually after a sweeper.
Phyrexian Scriptures looks like the next best card to play as you are able to destroy all nonartifact creatures every turn. Preventing an aggressive opponent from ever being able to mount an offense against you.
Tied for 3rd and 4th are the playable blue sagas. Time of Ice and The Mirari Conjecture. Both have their plusses. Time lets you tap down 2 creatures every turn 1 at instant speed and the other at your upkeep while Conjecture allows you reassemble the combo should it slip away from you while also setting up counters and discard or rebutting your sweepers. Basically it reads every turn return an instant and a sorcery to your hand.
So far only black and blue sagas are playable with the combo in mind. While this could be considered bad it does allow for some good control cards in our decks.
Here is the first rough draft.
Still looking for ideas if anyone has them. Proxied the deck up and as thought it does suffer from target discard and storm. Both winnable just really hard. I was surprised by how effective the saga spinning really is. Not to mention in the fair games just casting a eldest Reborn after a sweeper can win you the game.
Maybe Chisei, Heart of Oceans could be a thing to manipulate counters other than clockspinning. If Decree of Silence would be legal...
But maybe there are other powerful cards where the counter manipulation matters, Even if Darksteel Reactor is too slow, but maybe there is something else you could use, not only sagas.

Yeah, but it's really more "Disney Evil" than practical. It's like being a bond villain and giving a monologue rather then just shooting them.
