So far the only matchups I've had trouble with are spell based combo, and Tron of course. This deck feels like it has game against everything, and it's so much fun. A bonus is that most people have no idea what I'm doing in paper!

Nice list! Would you mind sharing a sideboard guide for common decks?
Hi Doozy, I liked pretty much the list, did you use this list a long time ago or did you simply take the jadoth list as a base and "fit" the list to your current meta ?
I'm a Tron player and I think our jadoth friend's list should suffer a bit in this match.
Here in my current meta has several Trons, Burns, Abzans, Jund's, U/W control, Grixis control and Jund's death shadow.
Using the jadoth list as a base what would you advise me to change to be in the main deck or/and sideboard ?

This please! A SB guide would be awesome. I've just finished building the deck myself. The cards I really love are:
Jace VP
Traverse
Thought seize
Goyf
Tracker
Shriekmaw
And grave titan
I also like creeping tarpit
My list is basically Jadoths list. I really like the list above though. I think the deck has great potential and can really have game against the field.
I've been messing with the deck since Dylan Murphy made top 8 at Tjs Titanium Modern, I've just completed it in paper though.
The deck does struggle against Tron, just like any other BGx deck. Being able to Traverse for Fulminator is helpful here.
My meta is similar to yours, although combo is more popular. I really like my main deck if you're expecting to grind. As for the sideboard, my current 15 seems good in your meta. It just comes down to finding which silver bullets you think help you the most. The beauty of this deck is how customizable it is.
I'm not a fan of Ishkanah. Without Delirium it's just a bad card, so I've opted for Thragtusk in that slot.

Thank you for the answer, I really enjoyed your sideboard a lot.
Thank you for the tips
I noticed that your maindeck has only 59 cards, could you tell me which is the 60th card?
Maybe is it 1x Architects of Will?
To finish, you could tell me how the deck went so far ?
Ah yes I was missing Architects. Thanks for catching that.
The deck has been excellent to me so far. It is obviously weak to graveyard hate, but since we're playing a GBx shell with MD hand disruption and Abrupt Decay it hasn't been a huge concern.
My main testing group consists of Grixis Control, Bant Eldrazi, Esper Control, Living End, Knightfall, Abzan/Jund, and Goryo's Vengeance. Myself included, everyone in my group has been impressed with the deck. It's insane at grinding. I've also done quite a bit of testing on XMage, and have had good results there too.
Thanks my friend, I'm almost with Jadoth's shell on paper.
As soon as I complete it I will test the deck and adjust to my current meta.
Surely I will use your sideboard as a base and I liked the idea of Thragtusk instead of Ishkanah, Grafwidow, since the grave hate is high on the current meta, several times you will not be able to trigger it's delirium ability.
That's it, so when I have some results I will post here to discuss

Let's do the Sultai deck tier 1
I hear ya on this one. I've found ishkanah tonne pretty awesome. But. Without delirium she is bit lame. Maybe I agree swagtusk is decent against decks with grave hate. I also really like the grave titan he is a house.
Has anyone tried the new nissa? I'm not sure she would be any good.
I don't think we play enough creatures to support the new Nissa. Give her a try if you get a chance, and let us know how that goes.
Did some more testing last night. Played a few games against Abzan, Affinity, Esper Goryo's Vengeance (with Lingering Souls, Obzedat Ghost Council), and a Jeskai list.
The deck continues to feel amazing against other grindy decks. Any control/midrange deck I've played against has really struggled to keep up with Traverse chains once they get going.
I did lose to Affinity, but I drew the wrong half of my deck in both games. The matchup feels very winnable as long as we draw into enough removal. Although I'm not a fan of Ishkanah, she is devastating in this match up.
Our weakest matchups are definitely uninteractive ones. Against a deck like Storm, for example, it can be difficult to get Delirium online quick enough. Sometimes this results in a bunch of dead Traverse in hand. Be aware of this when deciding to keep or mulligan against these types of decks.
I went 4-0 last night with jadoths list. It's a decent deck. A pretty high ceiling though as many plays can be made. I made a few changes in the side that worked out nicely.
For anyone who doesn't want to shell out for Bauble, Architects of Will is definitely the next best thing. The jadoth list only runs 1, but after selling my Baubles, I did a straight swap for all 4 and its generally been fine. They're obviously a bit worse early on when we don't have the extra mana available, but they're better late game topdecks than Bauble and rebuild card types after grave hate more quickly. I could also justify maindeck Nihil Spellbomb in the right meta as well.
I don't think we play enough creatures to support the new Nissa. Give her a try if you get a chance, and let us know how that goes.
Agreed. I tested new Nissa in lower creature count decks when she was first spoiled and she was incredibly underwhelming when you're not getting any value off her zero ability. Traverse does a better job at finding what we need.
I did lose to Affinity, but I drew the wrong half of my deck in both games. The matchup feels very winnable as long as we draw into enough removal. Although I'm not a fan of Ishkanah, she is devastating in this match up.
Exactly this. If we have enough early interaction we can generally stabilize and take over. Ishkanah is hilarious in the matchup as long as we can control their Steel Overseer and Master of Etherium.
How do you guys feel about Grim Flayer in this deck?
I like Flayer as sideboard material, for matchups where you need to put pressure on early and need another 2-drop beater, like Ad Naus or traditional Tron. He's almost always smaller than Goyf, which is an issue in a meta of Reality Smashers and Thought-Knot Seer though.
Just completed the deck in paper, will be testing tonight at Thursday Night Modern. I'll try to remember how the match-ups go and maybe do a small write-up.
Here's my list. It's pretty stock as to what BUG delirium runs so far. My meta is fairly tron and Bant Knightfall heavy, with burn and control sprinkled around. Not much Death Shadow.
My meta is similar to yours.
Please bring us the report as soon as possible for discuss.
I'm also almost completing the jadoth list on paper and will bring a report as soon as possible.
Went 2-1 at TNM. The deck is very very fun to play and a Jace is a house when he's flipped. I punted in my last round pretty hard, but we'll get to that in a bit.
First round
Boros Burn: 2-1
Game 1: He was on the play. I kept a hand with 2 fatal pushes, bauble, 2 lands, goyf, ishkanah. He started quick with a t1 goblin guide. I killed it with push next turn and he played a few burn spells and got me to 10 with the help of some fetches on my end. Had the second push for a swiftspear and then resolved a gofy and beat his face while he proceeded to draw lands.
-1 Ishkanah
-2 Thoughtseize
+1 kitchen finks
+1 kalitas
+1 thragtusk
Game 2: T1 inquisition: rift bolt, 2x boros charm, bolt, guide and 2 lands. I took the guide as I don't think my hand had removal in it. T1 rift bolt, T2 boros charm, T3 boros charm + bolt and the game was pretty much over.
Game 3: I play an ooze while he burns me. Then i resolve a courser and he paths my ooze. I'm sitting around 9 hp and am able to resolve a thragtusk due to the land he gave me from path. He burns me a few more times, but I am able to close it out with an additional goyf.
Round 2: Went 2-0 against Jund Death Shadow
Game 1: We both kind of durdle with thoughtseize and inquisition while he gets his life down to ~11 by turn 3. He resolves a liliana of the veil, I maelstrom pulse it. He draws lands and I traverse for Grave Titan T5. Play it on t6 and the big man did the rest.
-1 Ishkanah
-1 Glen Elendra
-1 shriekmaw (not sure if correct but BGH replaces it sort of?)
+1 big game hunter
+1 kalitas
+1 emrakul
Game 2: We both play goyfs and sort of sit at a standstill for a few turns. I pulse one of his goyfs and swing putting him down to 9. He taps out for a Ranger of Eos, grabbing Death Shadow x2. I top-deck a Jace and play him. He plays both his death shadows next turn and passes. I loot with Jace and flip him in the process, flashbacking maelstrom pulse and his 2 Death Shadows and swing for lethal the following turn. My opponent boarded out pushes because thought I was playing a more controlly shell that went late game since he didn't see any goyfs.
Round 3: 0-2 against G/W CoCo
Game 1: He plays a T1 noble, which I respond with an inquisition taking path. He plays a knight and I play a goyf. I kill his knight with a fatal push and he blocks with noble. He does nothing on his turn. I play another goyf and swing and he CoCos into 2x 5/5 knights which eats my attacking goyf. Probably should not have swung there. He paths my other goyf and beats me while I draw a land.
-1 Glen Elendra
-1 Iskanah
-1 liliana of the veil
-1 ghost quarter
-1 courser of kruphix
+1 kalitas
+1 tooth collector ( was meh probably not right)
+1 kitchen finks
+1 bojuka bog
+1 big game hunter
Game 2: He plays a T1 noble, into T2 azusa into T3 cruicle. I was sitting on abrupt decay on t2, but decided to not decay the azusa. At this point I had not seen any ghost quarters, but my opponent told me he was running 4 afterwards. Looking back, not killing azusa didn't really have too much of an impact on the game, but I'm unsure if I should have. We really grind this game. I pulse 2 goyfs and then flip jace and proceed to pulse 2 knights off CoCo a few turns later. I punted really hard after that. I managed to flip another Jace, and cast my abrupt decay targetting a goyf on his field. I then proceed to traverse. ONLY TO REALIZE I DID NOT HAVE DELIRIUM UP due to flashing back abrupt decay. This was very bad of me and lost me the game as I was going to traverse for Grave Titan and ended up getting a forest instead lol. He proceeds to win with a voice and knight.
Despite the punt, This deck is a lot of fun. There are a lot of avenues and Jace just provides sooo much value. I still need to figure out when and what to traverse for. A few notes:
-I was not very impressed with Ishkanah. There aren't many lingering souls decks in my meta and even when I could play her, she did not feel all that amazing. I have boarded her out in every match. I get that she's one of our only way to deal with fliers, but has anyone thought of any other options? Thragtusk seems OK, but what about something like verdurous gearhulk? Even that sort of feels like a "win more" card to me.
-Glen Elendra also seemed kind of meh. Maybe it's because I didn't play any combo or spell heavy decks, but tapping out for her at 4 is just bad since you can't activate her negate. At 5 she seems sort of slow.
Has anyone thought of any other monsters that would be good in this deck besides the ones jadoth tested?
Nice report. It's strange in my meta. The spider and glen have won me games on their own. I think that is one of the decks strengths: to adapt to the meta. My meta has heaps of souls and blood moons in it. I'm thinking about putting some enchantment hate in my SB. I do have and EE though. Thanks again for your report.
