I went 2-1-1 on the night, beating Storm and Belcher, drawing against Esper Gifts and losing to Infect. I only needed one more turn to kill Esper Gifts but we ran out of time and Infect I could have beaten but I didn't draw a much needed 2nd black source until it was one turn too late, but such is life.

In play: Jund Death Shadow, Grixis Control, Eldrazi Stompy, Ponza
In the yard: RUG Delver, Kiki-Chord, Grixis Twin, Mardu Control, Smallpox, Jeskai Control, Jeskai Delver, Assault Loam, Elves, Deathcloud, Eggs, Storm
I have been looking for a Jund type list like this for a while. I tinkered with a budget Jund deck for a while but I like this deck for its use of the under-rated Myth Realized.
It has been a blast. There is a learning curve for this deck as the sequencing is not all the same for all decks. I am still learning how to play the deck atm but overall its very satisfying because you can play it with a mix of tempo and control. A first turn drop with Myth can mean a more aggro game for you if the opponent misses a land drop or has no T1 / T2 play and no Island for any potential counterspell. If you see a potential blue source on T1, go for Raven's Crime / Duress. This deck rewards you tremendously for going aggro mid game.
Cards to consider as alternatives in this deck:
Anger of the Gods -> Volcanic Fallout / Pyroclasm / Black Sun's Zenith
Wrenched Mind -> Duress (Spells hurt this deck or messes up your tempo more than creatures imo)
Other game closers / synergistic cards to consider: Young Pyromancer / Gurmag Angler / Kolaghan's Command / Tomb Stalker / Olivia Voldaren / Outpost Siege / Monastery Mentor / Crackling Doom.
Do note that I am operating a slightly more budget version of the deck. Liliana of the Veil although is a great addition to the deck, would need supplement planeswalkers like Sorin, Koth, Chandra or even the new Gideon to close the game quickly.
G2 and G3 are generally more difficult games as opponents will bring in cards to stall Myth or targeted effects with Abrupt Decay, Leyline of Sanctity. Leyline of Sanctity blanks all the discard spells in the deck. So keep that in mind and build a sideboard to either blow up Leyline or replace some of the discard with more attrition cards like Boom/Bust / Wear/Tear.
Your list looks sweet. I am surprised that you aren't running any Flagstones of Trokair though.
I like a lot of you card choices, and I can say that Young Pyro is great in this deck as he helps absorb the effects of Crack and Smallpox, in that same vein Monastery Mentor should be great too. While I have only got in about 10-12 games with the deck so far I have been really surprised by the usefulness of Mana Tithe in this deck. I originally added 2 copies as a joke but it has really pulled it's own weight.
The other thing I have been considering is adding some more card advantage to the deck, so far I am looking at: Phyrexian Arena, Outpost Siege, Chandra, Pyromaster, Dark Confidant and Abbot of Keral Keep. I am concerned about being able to cast the 4 drop cards given we deal so much damage to our own mana-base, my guess is that Bob is best of the bunch given how low to the ground we are.

No budget for Flagstones atm lol i do acknowledge their worth in this deck but balancing the mana base is a challenge with Flagstones. I will eventually have them. Just need one or two maximum.
Young Pyro is a great card in this deck definitely, i played him in other decks that run low cc spells. the caveat is he is a 1 - 2 of at the most.
i think mana tithe is a great card in this deck but i do not run it as i do not have it so if budget is willing, i can get a few eventually.
tread lightly with regards to adding card advantage cards. this deck functions a lot like Jund which is about being aggressively controlling out of the gate and eventually being ahead with pseudo card advantage. cards like Chandra Pyromancer are straight up utility. She already has an Outpost Siege built in and can finish off games with her ping. I love Outpost Siege and play it in many of my decks but I feel its not very suitable in this deck because you will end up not having a chance to cast the spells u flip when you are torn between tempo and control. and the control cards in this deck are so aggressive, you might end up trapping yourself with Outpost Siege.
cards that you can control are the best, which is why I rate Chandra Pyromancer above all else.
I generally do not like cards like Phyrexian Arena or Bob unless I have a way to make the life back (like with Auriok Champion in B/W tokens) because you take a hell of a lot of damage with the aggressive mana-base which puts you at a severe disadvantage against aggro decks.
Lastly, I had some problems balancing the card quantities. mathematically you need X amount of resources to feed X amount of control cards. i had locked down opponents with Raven's Crime before because drawing lands when you already have 4-5 in play means pitching it away for Raven's Crime so that is why I reduced it to 3 copies.
Addendum: if there is a 4th planeswalker in this deck i would add that i can afford eventually, it will be Gideon, Ally of Zendikar. He is like Myth Realized #4 (or #5) in this deck.
Got to try out the Abbots on Friday, definitely a step in the right direction but I found them somewhat lacking, I am going to try out Painful Truths and Dark Confidants in those slots once I pick some up over the next couple of weeks.

A lot of the viable cantrip cards seems to deal with life sacrifice. i do not know if its advisable because almost all of the mana base requires you to take life hit from fetches or shocklands, which is a major issue against burn.
also, 4 mana can be hard to hit from my playtesting as I play the control game very aggressively but at this point i am only using the non flagstones of trokair build i tested with flagstones (as proxy) and its way better in hitting land #4. I am thinking about Outpost Siege but Chandra, Pyromaster is still a better choice because it can ping your opponent to death instead of cantrip.
mardu pox has become quite popular on xmage but i so far haven't found anybody else talking about this deck.
Alas we are probably screwed main board against burn anyway so I'm not hugely worried about the life loss that this point. The Bob build I am toying with brings the average CMC down to just under 1 (~0.97), plus we have a lot of control over how long he lives between Smallpox and Crack the Earth. The other build I am looking at testing is cutting the 3 Abbots for 2 Sieges/Chandras and 1 more YP, my main concern is being able to consistently hit the required 4 mana. Even with the Flagstones I find getting to 4 mana can be hit and miss but I hopefully get around to testing in come the new year.

I managed to get my set of Flagstones and my playtest deck is wayyyyy better now. the flagstones are basically a white source fetch so i have to cut down on the other fetches in the deck. i basically now run:
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Godless Shrine
2 Blood Crypt
4 Bloodstained Mire
4 Flagstones of Trokair
1 Windswept Heath
1 Plain
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
I like the YP + K Cmd interaction but I also like the original Chromatic Star / Nhil Spellbomb / Myth Realized + whole shebang synergy.
There is a nasty Dimir mill deck floating around that uses (its name alludes me atm) a sole copy of an instant to gain life for each creature they exile from your graveyard as a secondary win con, so they have enough life to mill you out. This is one of the reasons why I prefer the creatureless build and had quite some success with it.
Against hyper aggro decks, this deck archetype can be hit or miss but it totally owns midrange decks and is able to stand toe to toe against Abzan and Jund.

The creatureless build is original and I think very powerful. I don't see a sideboard, but I think you can use lack creatures in the first game to totally surprise your opponent after boarding. For me the argument for playing the creature build is me wanting to play with YP I think the availability of copies 5-7 in the form of Monastery Mentor (YP on steroids basically) made this deck viable. Nevertheless, since I do own all the cards to build the creatureless build, I might give it a try to see how it plays. By the way, why are you using Despise over Inquisition of Kozilek?
Against hyper aggro decks, this deck archetype can be hit or miss but it totally owns midrange decks and is able to stand toe to toe against Abzan and Jund.
True that! It basically punishes a slow start. So, against hyper aggro decks with a perfect start, it seems to be a miss more often than a hit. Though, if they stumble, they get owned like any other midrange deck. On the topic of midrange decks, if they are hellbent but topdeck something like Dark Confidant that can not be directly answered, I found things can turn nasty. As said before, it's that the mana base of this deck, plus Smallpox and Painful Truths are hurting the life total quite a bit, but otherwise I won't have mind running a 1-2 copies of DC myself...
If you run again in to this Dimir mill deck, I wouldn't mind having a look at it. So far, I didn't run into such deck yet. Have you played against Green Undying? I find it a tricky matchup, with all the undying creatures cards like Crack the Earth and Smallpox really fast lose the power they have in this deck.
i am too much a miser to buy IoK. =P I also run Despise because its cheap and it deals with creatures directly. I won a few games today because I got rid of Siege Rhino. =) The creatureless build has issues with aggressive creatures so I run Despise as a kind of budget catch all. =) Ideally, I would run Thoughtseize but I find the life penalty too harsh for my build because of the greedy mana base! =(
Hadn't run into Green Undying yet. But I run 1 x Anger of the Gods mainboard against that shenanigan lol.
off the top of my head, the deck was either Dimir or Esper (most likely Esper) with the following cards:
4 Thoughtscour
4 Serum Visions
4 Hedron Crab
4 Mind Funeral
4 Archive Trap
2-4 Inquisition of Kozilek
2-4 Snapcaster Mage
2-4 Thoughtseize
4 Glimpse the Unthinkable
4 Tome Scour
2 Jace Beleren
1 Crypt Incursion (This is the key card I told you about)
Maybes:
Trapmaker's Snare
Probably mainboards Path to Exile. I saw Leyline of Sanctity in the sideboard. There is this other mill card that forces you to mill 2 cards at a time and if they share the same colour you mill 2 cards again and repeat if they share the same colour. Doesn't apply to me because I generally play wedge decks in Modern but that card can cripple 2 colour / mono colour decks.
Hello all! New to this deck idea, and given that own most of the expensive parts for this deck, I was wondering about how it fairs against Twin, Jund, and Affinity. Also, is Fulminator absolutely necessary, or os it replaceable? I really don't want to shell out for a fairly niche card at this point in time.

vs Twin: As long as they can't hit the 3rd land, they are dead in the water. Remand makes them look stupid. Deny them the blue mana source.
vs Jund: Abrupt Decay is the key card against us. Its a grindy match-up but we are favored to win if we go T1: Land -> Chromatic Star / T2: Land -> Crack the Earth / T3: Stone Rain / Small Pox. Thoughseize hurts them. IoK hurts us. Sad face for them if they resolve a turn 2 Goyf and you blow him up with a Small Pox. I sometimes let them keep the Dark Confidant. =P
vs Affinity: Down to the wire. Either Affinity runs us over with turn 2 hand unload and turn 3 Cranial Plating drop win or they stumble with a greedy 1 land hand and we punish them with a turn 2 Small Pox.
TBH I do not know how to build a sideboard for the deck. Its too tight and the cards will have to be extremely specific. Like Rest in Peace and Stony Silence would be 2 cards I'd strongly recommend.
I'm pretty sure this is what I came up with (TCGPlayer managed to lose my list). I got kind of greedy and decided to jam both YP and Myth into the same list. I am really liking the look of this deck. I've been testing a bit and it plays much better to me than Loam pox, and is just brutal a lot of the time. I'm working up a list, I'll definitely be keeping up here.
To those who need / want to mainboard some utility graveyard hate can look towards Nihil Spellbomb and Relic of Progenitus. The Relic has taken a bit of price spike as of late because its a maindeck card in the new B/X Eldrazi decks and there was a buyout.
I maindeck 4 Chromatic Stars and 2 Nihil Spellbombs. The Spellbombs have done well for me by nuking graveyards to prevent Delves and Snapcaster exploits. It should do well against other GY stuff like Abzan Company and 4C Rally decks (if those make it to Modern).
Personally I would run Relic of Progenitus if I do not mainboard Gurmag Angler and Murderous Cut (which I currently do). I will experiment with Relic of Progenitus when I get my Ajani Vengeant as a 1 for 1 swap.
I was wondering what the consensus is on the best replacement for Liliana of the Veil. I know she's an all-star powerhouse with no true equal, especially for this deck, but she is the one card I don't own and can't afford to acquire. So, if you had to build the deck without her, what would you fill those slots with? Thanks.

There are plenty of choices tbh but as u said she has no equal. I play the non creature build partially because I also do not own any LotVs nor able to afford them. I use in my deck:
Tinkering with the sideboard; would Zealous Persecution be worth including? Not only can it be used aggressively, it's an instant answer to opposing token decks (B/W tokens and Goblin) as well as Twin's Pestermite and it can be used to kill X/1 infect creatures. Or at least draw out the pump spell before declare blockers.
@Need_More_DPS; how does Koth of the Hammer perform in the deck? I had many discussions about this card with a friend of mine. I believe that KotH in the right deck can do some serious damage. However, he obviously does not agree and I would love to use this deck to prove him wrong. That being said, compared to the other PWs, I guess he holds the least power. Is that correct?
Personally, in my deck, Chandra has the lowest power level because she is not able to spawn a creature, Sorin and Koth can. However I am stuck with her because her +1 enables me to push combat damage through along with the slow death of the pinging effect. If you ever ulti-Chandra, the game is pretty much yours. I have finished the game with Lightning Bolt or Stone Rain as part of the Ulti. Her +0 is also very valuable as the card advantage ensures you lock down the game.
I ulti-ed Koth quite regularly and I run enough red based shocks in my deck to ping down the opponent (or ping away their creatures) to finish the game. He has always have performed well for me, no complaints at all.
If I would replace any PW in my deck, it be Sorin. His +1 is extremely valuable, but there were times I rather his -2 was a +1 instead because I didn't have any other creatures in play and -2-ing him puts him in the mercy of Bolt or marauding creatures (which will mean you need to use the vampire token to block and it will probably die which is actually a wasted turn).
I rate Ajani Vengeant, Gideon, Ally of Zendikar and Elspeth, Knight-Errant all higher than Sorin, Solemn Visitor. Sure, I might have won many games off his back but he is the hardest PW to use in my deck because his performance totally reliant on if you have any creatures in play (which is why 4 copies of Lingering Souls is mandatory for me)
As for sideboard options, I prefer Pyroclasm although I prefer Anger of the Gods because it is able to nuke those random 3 power guys. You might also want to consider Rakdos Charm.
Do you guys findthe whole crack the earth package worth it? It seems like it does a similar thing to boom ust alot of the time and its terrible vs finks souls affinity opponents that flood out. Just bad in the grindy matchups
