I have been trying really hard to squeeze in both the Demigod package and the GDD/Boom-Bust package into the same deck. It seems like too much, and I just need to choose. Do you guys agree?
Also, when it comes to GY hate, isn't Leyline of the Void just about the best there is? And easy for us to cast?
Ack! I forgot Leyline of the Void was a card. Yeah, that would work. The nice thing with Relic though is that it will always cost 1 mana, even if you don't draw it in your opening hand + cantrip. But still, against GY strategies, we really do want to draw our hate in the first 7 cards which means Leyline of the Void has the edge.
Hey smashpacman Congrats, I'm a long time reader of the Blitz thread and I currently play a BR Eldrazi style deck that's heavier on the control elements... sort of like the ones written about in previous pages of this thread, but I may switch to something like your list.
That being said, more congratulations seem to be in order, you seem to have made Frank Lepore's Modern Monday article which I will link here!
I am thrilled for your win, and the coverage by Frank LePore - Esteemed Professional Player. That's phenomenal, Pete Casella. I already put your deck in the Featured Deck section of the Official Primer, and now I've linked Frank's review and playtest of the deck. Terrific news for the Blitzkrieg World. ...I've been on a bit of a Magic hiatus of late - taking a break as I usually do during Football Daily Fantasy Season. I'll be back after the playoffs. Keep chucking cardboard commanders!

I've been on a list incredibly similar to this but instead of Hangarback Walkers I'm using Rabblemaster. Also using a victim of the night/go for the throat. Sometimes Bolt is not enough.
I'm actually down 1 Hangarback Walker and up 1 Rakdos Charm, since Walker is really there for the Jund/Zoo matchups and Rakdos Charm is there for Dredge/Affinity/Lantern Control decks, and one of those sets of decks is on the up-and-up. Rabblemaster I've tested with (and have a playset in my binder as we speak), but found that Hangarback Walker does more for the longer game until we set up our engines and win the game.

I've played with both. Rabble was far and away better. To many Paths. Journey to Knowhere. Anger of the Gods running around. I found myself boarding in Rabble much more since his investment is much lower and sometimes through discard and good removal you just run away with the game instantly. Even better with Kcommand.

Reasonable points, but when are you boarding it in then? I really only had those slots designated for Jund, which doesn't play the aforementioned cards (other than Anger of the Gods, but they shouldn't be boarding that in against us). Decks with White, usually I don't let those slots see the light of day. To be honest, I only play Hangarback Walker as a pet card, and to force gimmicks on the opponent. I think a lot of it comes down to the type of decks you play against in your own area. For example, I've probably never had a Journey to Nowhere cast on me in 2016.

I finally narrowed down my list to just 60 cards, focusing mostly on controlling the board and mana denial, with the main plan being to target Boom // Bust with Goblin Dark-Dwellers. Please look and give me constructive criticism! I'm playing it tonight and will report back tomorrow. Anyway, here it is:
I'm sure the sideboard needs work. I'm planning to bring in Pack Rats any time I think my opponent lacks cheap removal. Thundermaw Hellkite is for Lingering Souls decks or UW Spirits. There is probably a better option, like maybe the enchantment that gives all creatures -1/-1. Again, all ideas welcome!!
I bring them vs any deck looking to win unfair since they help close faster. I also bring them in most matchups where I just feel like I need to up my threat density. It's nice having a threat where they must answer or almost lose if you untap. Rabblemaster just snowballs like all hell. I play it against control decks since we have discard and Kcommand they might not have the answer immediately if we strip it or we outvalue them with Kcommand. How many Chandra's do you run? I run one extra in the side as well.
I went 1-3, but the matches were a bit weird and there was variance. I did get a few ideas about changes to the sideboard and I think it's worth playing some more.
First Round I lost 0-2 against UR Prowess/Delver... both games were close and I flooded slightly. I boarded out Thoughtseize and Blood Moon, brought in Anger of the Gods, Dragon's Claw, and Grim Lavamancer.
Round 2 I lost 0-2 against monored Goblins. I think I should have mulliganed a little more aggressively to get more removal - He won on turn 4 both times. I took out 2 Blood Moons, one GDD, and a thoughtseize, and again brought in the same 4 cards. Looking back, I realiezed that early disruption was great in game 2 so I should have kept in the Thoughtseize. Taking away a goblin bushwacker or goblin piledriver saves a lot more than two life...
Round 3 I won 2-0 against Soul Sisters. Third aggressive deck in a row, and third deck where Blood Moon wasn't good. He had quite a few utility lands but I decided that it was better to pick those off than keep in Blood Moons. This time I brought in 2 Anger of the Gods, 1 Grim, 1 Thoughtseize, and my pet card Needlebite Trap. I decided that he had too many cheap creatures so I took out Liliana OTV also. These games went better as I managed his board a lot better. Chandra, Pyromaster was great for picking off the sisters.
At this point after those three rounds it could be just the matchups, but I really started to think that I should be playing at least 3-4 Angers, and maybe leave Blood Moon in the board?
Round 4 was colorless Tron! Finally a good matchup! Game one I kept a two-lander with an Inquisition, a Thoughtsieze, a Boom/Bust, and a Kalitas. I still think it was reasonable, but I got screwed for a while, drawing two more Kalitas and a Dark-Dwellers. I took away his threats, but he was still able to get natural Tron and since I didn't draw a fetch, I couldn't blow up a land without setting myself back until he already had a giant pile of lands anyway. Ugh! He played a Chalice of the Void on 1, then another one on 3 counters, so I couldn't play Liliana, Anger of the gods to kill Wurmcoil tokens, or even Kolaghan's Command to blow it up.
I had a lot to bring in, but not that much to take out. I removed Anger of the Gods, some Lightning bolts, and Collective Brutality. Brought in Surgical Extractions, the third Blood Moon, and Thoughtseize. I wanted to bring in Pack Rats, but didn't know what else to remove without weakening the LD game plan. I'm thinking the other two Bolts. Anyway, this time I started out OK - Thoughtseized a Thought-Knot Seer, then surgicallly extracted it. I never drew fourth land, or spot removal for Reality Smasher and Endbringer. bummer.
Short version: Lost (barely) to UR prowess, lost to goblins, won against soul sisters, lost to Eldrazi Tron (?!?!).
Need some tweaks if I'm going to do well against the low-to-the-ground aggro decks. Need to actually draw lands in my best matchup.
Main Deck Changes:
+1 Anger of the Gods (3/1 split)
+1 Molten Rain
-1 Kalitas
-2 Blood Moon (to the board)
+1 Chandra, Torch of Defiance (she's in the mail!)
+1 Thoughtsieze
-1 more card. Need help deciding
Sideboard Changes:
-1 Needlebite Trap (this is not burn deck)
-1 Anger of the Gods (3/1 split)
-1 Thundermaw
+2 Blood Moon (3 total)
+1 Collective Brutality
I bring them vs any deck looking to win unfair since they help close faster. I also bring them in most matchups where I just feel like I need to up my threat density. It's nice having a threat where they must answer or almost lose if you untap. Rabblemaster just snowballs like all hell. With Sun and Moon growing in popularity, I think I'm back in your boat with testing Rabblemaster again as a one-of. I'm still not positive that it's the best card to take over a game, but it's definitely got a shot.
I only play one Chandra, and have considered putting another in the sideboard, but I'm currently on higher concentrations of hate cards for Dredge, Affinity, and Infect because of their high results and density in large events.

Good Observation, FrenchFryNinja. That deck deeeeefffffinitely borrows from Smashpacman's design. I wonder about instances where there are coincidences. There are so many of us out there in so many separated bubbles of deck creation. Are very similar decks a coincidence or is there some 'creative borrowing'? It's an unanswered question that has lived in my deck-building mind for a long time.
As for Smash's posted build, which took down a 1k and then got published on a very well known thread by Frank LePore, it's a very solid, well-reasoned deck. Did someone else arrive at its construction completely on their own? Point of Fact: It is slightly different - Added Collective Brutality and Removed Bedlam Reveler. Very minor changes.
As for the limited testing and satellite observation/proxy creation, I would say the following - from my independent testing of this archetype which I have studied since 1994 - when I saw this deck at first blush:
I've finally come around to getting a playset of Bobs, and am looking to play them in a Blitzkrieg style deck.
Looking through the sample decks the DarkHelmet709 version appeals to me the most.
Nyxathid I've always loved, and it seems to be the only list running bobs.
I'm going to start testing a list based on that with the new toys such as Collective Brutality, and the new Lily instead of LotV (as that is too pricy for me, and have Last hope from standard)
Maybe 8 creatures will be too little to work with LtLH, perhaps a grim lavamancer and some others will join the fight.
Dark Confidant is a cool card, but supremely overrated to be honest. There are too many good options that can't really be played because of Dark Confidant builds, so just make sure to keep your win conditions low to the ground.
Fatal Push will not replace all copies of Terminate I don't believe, but it will definitely see some play. I'm currently looking to replace at least one Terminate, possibly two depending on performance, for a Fatal Push.
Also, a quick note for all the readers:
I've cut Liliana of the Veil from my main deck.
She is simply not good enough in a format where Dredge, Affinity, and Infect have taken over.
She has been replaced by Goblin Rabblemaster for the time being, though Liliana the Last Hope might jump in that slot soon enough.

Welp. After moving and settling in, greetings from LA! Been since a few months. Excellent news, and congratulations to Smashpac! It's a bit of a shame that the name of Blitzkrieg is localized more or less only to this thread, everyone else just calls it BR Control, but there's no denying that we have an undeniable "it works!" to our name in the present meta. I love the way things have developed for us, and eagerly await a chance to get back to playing once I get my hands on a local store.
I've said this before, several times, but I think we've earned a spot outside "Deck Creation" given we've got proven results, and multiple of them at that.
Edit: It's spoiler season, so I feel like mentioning a few of the cards of especial interest.
Fatal Push: As mentioned by fusedotcore and Smashpac, this is a candidate for trading out a Terminate or two. Fetchlands and other on-demand sac options (even Kalitas) really power this up to a consistent level of insanity however. Yeah, this seems like an obvious case of a made-for-modern card.
The Expertise cards: "without paying its mana cost" are the magic words to immediately get my attention on a card. Hram's Expertise in particular looks like the kind of thing we'll need to take into account, as the tokens are colorless and thus Sulfur Elemental won't flat-out crush it. I don't want to be on the other side of the table of someone casting that and then Lingering Souls, not without a board wipe of some kind. Thankfully... Yahenni's Expertise is exactly that. At -3/-3, this skirts the 4-toughness butterzone for our beaters, and correct me if I'm wrong, but the Boom/Bust malarkey that GDD enabled is also usable with this, right? I likes it.
Hope of Ghirapur: A colorless 1-drop with flying and an extremely annoying ability is something to be wary of. I don't think this benefits us at all, but it's the kind of card that will probably pop up in myriad decks in the first few rounds of a night.
Spire of Industry: A fresh set of Glimmervoids for Affinity, so it'd be reasonable to expect at least some increase in their showing.
New Liliana seems great against the current meta. Rabblemaster not so much. If your opponents are packing cheap removal for Infect and Affinity, then Rabblemaster runs right into it.
I'd trade out the looting slot for this, since I'm not on Demigod. Terminate hits too much to be dropped entirely - I would say 2-2, with 1 of each in the SB for the appropriate matches. I should add I'm playing 4x Thunderbreak Regent and 4x Stormbreath Dragon as my creatures, so Looting on its own is worse for me. But in the Jund neck of the woods, we don't find Push to be superior to Terminate. I do wonder if Push doesn't make our deck a better choice than Jund, though.
*
Yes, I think we've earned a place in Developing Competitive - our deck's placed higher than Skred Red, for example. We have better CA. Better resilience and access to their main piece - Blood Moon. We may not have put up as many results as SKRed, but what we have put up is over higher quality than Jund.

Yes, I think we've earned a place in Developing Competitive - our deck's placed higher than Skred Red, for example. We have better CA. Better resilience and access to their main piece - Blood Moon. We may not have put up as many results as SKRed, but what we have put up is over higher quality than Jund.
