I dropped the Sisters because they don't gain life quickly enough without Genesis Chamber. In place of them I have more aggressive 1-drops. Norin still has a good number of cards it can trigger.
This deck has a pretty high concentration of 3-power 1-drops. T1 Champion of the Parish into T2 2 1-drops/Thalia's Lieutenant, or T1 Toolcraft Exemplar into T2 Mox/Thraben Inspector lets you attack for 3 on turn 2. Kytheon flips into a 4/4 after jumping through some hoops.
Always play the Mox before any legends. With Thalia and Norin this is obvious, but on top of that, you can tap it for mana if they fire instant-speed removal at your legend.
Some examples of Mox-enabled sequences:
- T1 Mox, Gideon, Champion/Exemplar, swing for 5 on turn 2
- T1 Mox, Norin/Gideon, T2 Mentor
- T2 Mox, Thalia, Bodyguard protecting Thalia
The deck is still quite clunky though. Two things I don't like about it are 1) Norin only makes red mana and 2) if your starting hand is land, Gideon, Mox, Champion, the Champion doesn't get to see Gideon ETBing.

Hi all, I like this Norin deck a lot! Bought me foil Norins which look great
This is the deck I am playing and I was wondering if the new card damping sphere is better in the SB then bloodmoon
damping sphere is probably the better option if you wanna squarely stop tron and storm. both of which can be an issue, if the deck is losing its fast creatures.
doesn't stop valakut, but when you think about it you can get your life total high rather quickly and be out of valakut range.
blood moon is very diverse. its commonly the silver bullet for valakut and tron, it can be a game winner in other match ups that need there multi color land. such as jund for instance or even 5 color death's shadow.
I approach my sideboard in a silver bullet mentality/design, so I'd run damping sphere.
Went 3-1 in a local tournament today. Won vs R/B Jundish kind of deck, Won vs Burn. lost vs Elves en won vs Hollow One.
First game Against Elves had some mana problems and second no removal.
Lots and lots of triggers...lol
I've been testing Benalish Marshal in my build. Double pump Champion of the Parish and Thalia's Lieutenant, as well as pumping all the tokens from Genesis Chamber and Spirit Bonds. Triple white is not an issue if you only run 1 basic mountain and a few Rugged Prairie. Also a singleton Shefet Dunes for that extra anthem without taking anything from the deck.
I was thinking on a rebuild of this deck because there are some cards (some from dominaria) that I think can fit perfectly in the deck.
Lately while brewing other kind of decks I fell into the idea of using norin the wary, purphoros, god of the forge and genesis chamber int he same deck because it gives a lot of value. After that remind that board the weatherlight can search for any of them (Because they are legends or artifacts) and also thought that goblin chainwhirler can be an all star here cleaning the table from opposing myrs while leaving ours untouched.
Whith that In mind I'm trying to accommodate all these cards togheter to find the best configuration.
Because goblin chainwhirler requires RRR, the deck should be Rw instead of Wr. Also would be great to use more artifacts (even better if they are artifact creatures) so board the weatherlight would have more targets.
So not sure whether my deck belongs in this thread, aristocrats,or in a deck of it's own, but I've been grinding with this thing for a few weeks now on MTGO. I've had some success, but it still needs work. The core of the deck has worked out really well when I get a combination of those components.
I've found that although Bitterblossom does exactly what I would want it to do ideally, it's actually kind of slow and there are a few decks I can't afford the life loss to. I was thinking about upping the number of plunge into darkness to find answers, to add a sac outlet, and to gain life. I was thinking about swapping out Blasphemous act for Bontu's last reckoning. Only issue I have with Bontu's last reckoning is it limits my ability to play spells the same turn. Dropping a blood artist then playing a 1 mana Act to win the game is usually pretty clutch. I've tried really hard to make most of the deck playable with under 3 lands. I think goblin rabblemaster might be a good addition, but I'm not crazy about the attacks each turn if able part, but he is good for enter the battlefield triggers and death triggers for blood artist. Lingering souls was an obvious choice, but I'm not really sold overall on what it will do for the deck, plus in order to keep pace with other decks strategies, i usually need to be playing more than one spell on turn 3 if possible.
Things this deck wants to accomplish is either to fill the board to get enter the battlefield triggers or to blow it up for death triggers.
I don't know, maybe I should have zulaport cutthroat in the deck, but the lack of recursion on that many guys who do the same things scares me a little. I like to close out the game with my death triggers.
If you feel this deck doesn't belong here, let me know and I will move elsewhere. The most successful engine in the deck though is Norin and Genesis Chamber. If I can get a chamber out I'm usually golden.
@shogun: I tried something similar in the past, it was not bad but very inconsistent. I used also forbidden orchard, and Illness in the Ranks to create lot of death triggers. Also Blade of the Bloodchief, Malakir Cullblade and the curse that is similar to blood artist (I don't remember the name). If you have some success with this idea, let me know because deck was funny
On the other side, a decktech appeared in mtggoldfish about a WR legenday deck.
The deck is primarily red so I try to use the less white legends as possible. Anyways it's useful having some of them so because of that there is the 1 of them.
Also there are some combos in the deck, lot of synergy and only 1 nonbo (the 2 x ruinous blast, but it would be useful to deal with decks that puts lot of permanents in the battlefield, and as a catch all answer).
With Brimaz, Norin, and kari zev we are going to do lot of damage with a purphoros and feed the spawning pit (which will create free 2/2 saccing all the monkeys and creatures that dies.
With chainwhirler we are going to get rid of all myr tokens the opponent creates and provides 3 devotion for being able to attack with purphoros.
Also some hazoret as another threat and a way to discar multiple legends and reach.
The only thing I'm loosing is the package of sisters (and the gain life ability they provide. I would like to include some of them but all the other cards seem much better than them.
What do you think? Any ideas or suggestions are welcome
Militia Bugler in Core set is coming. Huge human boost. 2/3 human vigilance, look at the top 4 cards of your library and took a creature with power 2 or less Into your Hand.cost 2 colorles and 1 white mana
Still tuning the deck but right now is more consistent. Anyways the deck still needs more card advantage in any way (we have Mentor of the Meek but is really slow) and the loss of sisters can be still an issue. Auriok champion could be an option although doble white can hurt a lot.
Also I'm Still thinking if impact tremors would be better than genesis chamber. It gives us instant damage whenever any of our creatures (including tokens) comes into play and also don't benefit the opponent giving them creatures. Also being an enchantment is more difficult to remove than the artifact.
Still doubts on which one would be better.
Hoogland suggest looking at replacing Squee and Mogg War Marshall for some number of Zurgo, Bellstriker. But this is an interesting deck that sometimes plays like an aggressive deck "nickle and diming" your opponents, but that can very affectively hide behind an Ensnaring Bridge and finish opponents off with Impact Tremors. Here is some game play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKapXaGQRgc
Its an interesting budget direction for the deck that actually has some real strengths and even if this list isn't exactly the direction for this deck we may find some ideas in this deck that work for us.
First post! So I have just started getting back into Magic and have been experimenting with some new decks. this deck is a mish-mash of Devoted Druid combo and Norin Chamber decks. the deck has multiple combos : jade mage, Mirror entity and card draw with mentor of the meek. Only a singleton of Impact tremors beacuse there is no good tutor for genesis chamber. Any thoughts or criticism welcome.
Im staying loyal to the sisters build. and I think MB Blood moon is the way to go. what dou you all think? all go in either 3 or 4.
I think theres something to be done in mardu in a aristocrats build. with the stuff @Shogun1987 was posting about but I couldnt brew something, but abusing myr tokens for damage could be something.
Tried this brew last 4-13-19 at our local store(MODERN). I win 3 of 4 Matches. I'm a casual, returned Player. Also missed some of my triggers haha </3

2nd round - Mono-Red Spectacle Burn
3rd round - Norin Sisters
PS: Same as 1st match I side boarded 1 Burrenton Forge-Tender and 1 Kor firewalker. 1st round close match, 2nd round didn't get sisters, 3rd round Eidolon and I have 3 sisters and I think he misplayed casting Eidolon at this moment.
4) Hollow One VS Norin Sisters
1st round - Hollow One
2nd round - Hollow One
PS:2 match mull to 6 with lots of bad draw. Also I'm not familiar with hollow one deck(I'm surprised!) haha!.
