Hey, newcomer here. been off modern for 2 years and starting to casually plays it again on cockatrice. this deck is so good. I was playing uwr control and twin pre-hiatus. So i'm not entirely new to this colors.
I have not actually ever played against soul sisters with my current build, but I assume it's a nightmare. It could be the actual worst matchup for my deck. In your meta with a lot of burn, Blessed Alliance is a great sideboard card. I too run a Blessed Alliance in my sideboard for burn. The 8 rack deck is becoming very popular. There is a sweet card that I bought awhile back when I thought discard would be good. It's called Guerrilla Tactics. It's somewhat linear, but if your meta is full of discard decks, it would be a great sideboard card.
I'm glad to hear you were able to get copies of remand and spell pierce. I think you will be pleasantly surprised how well they work with your build.
On another note I have been thinking about adding a possible Molten Rain or two in the sideboard. Has anyone tried Molten Rain?
Edit- Cryptic Command's mana cost just doesn't fit my maindeck and I am currently playing 18 lands. So no cryptic for me
I didn't feel like missing cryptic though. because i configure my deck with 18 land with 3 Geist of Saint Traft as my curve topper. The rest of them is 1-2 cmc.
On Molten Rain, i think it's a good idea. Forgot that card even exist. The only thing hesitate me is RR in its cost :/
In case anyone wondering, this is my configuration:
So far I feel happy with this configuration during my venture at cockatrice for about a week now. Opt is really good. I can happily play 18 lands because of it!
You played JESUS?!?! I heard none of his guys stay in the graveyard, and once you think you have him beat he ALWAYS comes back to win within three turns. I like...WORSHIP him.
Thanks for posting your list and welcome! I too have found Opt and Spell Pierce to be awesome right now!
If you have read this topic for a little while you will already know what a huge fan of Deflecting Palm I am . I never thought I would meet someone who liked it more, but you are maindecking two copies so I think you win. I love siding this card in and the meta is very creature based right now so I can see it being a very good mainboard slot. I don't think I can bring myself to maindeck it yet, but I don't fault you for doing so. I like your style :).
Our lists are very similar except for where I have swiftspear and bedlam reveler you have young pyromancer and two additional serum visions. The visions work great with young p and delver so I totally understand that. I have talked about the young p vs swiftspear topic at length, but I am definitely in the minority. Most people prefer Young Pyromancer so they can play a slightly more control oriented game when needed. All-in all I like your deck. It looks solid and keep us posted on how it goes. Welcome back to the game and welcome to the topic discussion! We always love an added opinion to make the jeskai delver/prowess deck better.
Two weeks have past so it's about time for a new post.
After the pretty awesome winning streak on MTGO I took my deck to FNM a week ago. I was very confident but I ended up 1:2.
The problem with the deck at that FNM was that it ran out of gas too fast and by topdecking I wasn't able to win.
So I did some slight changes again: replaced 2 Mana Leaks with Remands again and the 2nd Clique with Hazoret. This week I tested the new build online and the winning percentage was just as good (about 90%). Yesterday I went to FNM with my deck.
I had a blast yesterday.
First round I beat Eldrazi Tron 2:1. First game was decided by Geist who was better than his Karn. Second game he had turn 3 Though-Knot into Smasher and won. Third game I drew the burn half of my deck and finished him quickly Delver, Bolt, Snap+Bolt, Jeskai Charm and double Helix.
Second round I beat Grixix Delver 2:1. First game went very long and flipped Azcanta turned the tide in my favor. Second game he pulled of a turn two Tasigur and I had no answer... Third game I was able to surgically extract all his Bolts. I flooded but with four lands in play and land, Path in hand I drew Hazoret. I resolved her, exiled his blocker and attacked. Long story short: Grixis Delver has no answer to Hazoret and without Bolts he couldn't race me.
Third round I beat Counters Company 2:1. First game I killed of all his creatures (Bird, Druid, Tracker, Voice) with Bolt, Path and double Snapcaster. Spapcaster beatdown followed up by double Geist finished him. Second game he had a fast start with a turn 3 Company into Geist & Voice. I couldn't kill Geist and lost. Third game I drew Remand and Mana Leak and he missed a land drop so he was behind the whole time. He recovered with Witness and Tracker but I was able to resolve Geist + Worship and to finish him eventually with 2 Delvers in the air.
Final round against the only other player with 9 points will follow...

Good to hear from you Stevomat. I like the changes you made to the deck. It sounds like it paid off as well! I love having a top end threat like Hazoret to help our tougher matchups. I like Search for Azcanta a LOT. It has been amazing in my sideboarded games. Since you have 21 lands search fits your deck even better. The card is broken if you get to untap with it and don't die to quickly. It basically destroys any grindy matchup.
I love the game notes. I can't wait to hear how you won the finals. I am confident you won :). Those are some tougher matchups. Counters Company can be tough if you don't draw removal quick enough, but if it's built around the combo we normally have ample removal to beat them. If it's the more grindy collected company style deck it does get a bit tougher. Eldrazi Tron and Grixis Delver are both tough matchups so it's great to hear that you were able to beat them all. I have had fairly good results against eldrazi tron recently. I haven't played against a ton of grixis delver, but I assume it would be a super grindy affair. You said Search for Azcanta was a house and I don't doubt it. That's basically the mirror (delver) breaker. It's also great to see that adding Hazoret had an immediate positive affect on your deck and won you the last game. Mr. Tzoulis will be very happy to hear that.
I can't wait to hear how the finals went. Thanks for posting
EDIT- I added rounds 3 and 4 to my write up on the prior page. Here is the write up if you don't want to go back:
Gameplay report
Overall- Overall I went 3-1 which is totally fine for me. I don't know about your area, but UW control is all the rage right now. I played against it twice winning once and losing once. I also got to play against Abzan which was nice since it hasn't been popular for awhile now. Finally, I won a close one against UG Merfolk. The deck ran well and I didn't have too many games that were one sided.
Round 1- UW Control
Game 1- Loss- I had a slow opener that is fine against unknown opponenet, but isn't good against control. I didn't draw a geist early enough and by the time I had a geist it was impossible to land him. I was able to do a little damage to him by top decking a bunch of burn, but he was able to take control of the late game after sweeping my board of snapcasters and a swiftspear.
Game 2- Win- This time I had a very aggressive start with two swiftspears and 2 opts. I actually took a Distortion Strike off of one of the opts and wasn't sure if that was right, but wanted to keep the aggression going. The swiftspears in combination with burn and remands were enough to slowly widdle away his life.
Game 3- Loss- I started with a no land hand and mulled into a 4 land hand with Geist and Opt. I decided to keep since Geist is our best card in the matchup and opt can help us filter our first draw. Unfortunately the first card I drew was another land. It would have been nice to find search for azcanta early to filter away additional land drops, but that was not the case. With a lot of lands I wanted to make sure I found counter magic to hold up while attempting to cast giest. I found a remand and went for Geist. He had the cryptic into negate and all was lost. He landed a Geist out of his sideboard which did most of the work against me.
Review- I think this matchup is really dependent on the specific build of UW control. I have had sucess against them in the past, but just didn't draw well enough against them.
Game 1- Great, after a loss I get Abzan. The first game was a bit of a wierd one. I flipped a delver on turn two and started beating down. We went back and forth with removal and creatures until the board was a tarmogoyf against a swiftspear with him a 8 life and me at 14. He played a Dark Confidant which I decided not to bolt to see what happens. He flipped a liliana off of him and went to 5. After I remanded the liliana, he had to hold gofy back or would likely die to swiftspear. Flipping an Aburpt Decay off of confidant gave him an answer to swiftspear, but also made my lightning bolt lethal. Sometimes bob sabotages a game.
Game 2- This was a fun one. It was a long drawn out game. I think I had 20 or so cards left in my deck when all was said and done. I landed Search for Azcanta on turn two and it was an absolute house. There were several times I wanted a threat, but felt like I had to activate the land to get a free spell. This did draw the end of the game out a little bit because I kept shipping my threats to the bottom and getting spells to keep him from doing anything. The game started with a inquisition taking snapcaster mage. I drew a delver which was instantly fatal pushed. He played a goyf which I pathed and the game when on like this for a few turns. I was able to land Chandra, Pyromaster who did some work against a few lingering souls tokens, but she was evendually downed by a goyf when my board got a little slim. Echoing Truth cleaned up the souls and we were basically top decking, but I had Azcanta, the Sunken Ruin active. He did have the WB manland, but I helixed it. The additional cards I was drawing each turn slowly took over the game until I found a Bedlam Reveler which actually ended the game. The sideboard was super impactful in this matchup so it was nice to see the cards that don't often come in - revler, chandra, search do some real work.
Review- Hooray we beat Abzan again. I have actually been beating them with some regularity lately so I'm wondering if the matchup is add bad as I once thought it was. Search for Azcanta can be a little slow against some opponents, but it was super helpful against Abzan. I highly recommend giving it a slot in your board.
1-1
Round 3- UG Merfolk
Overview- This is a weird matchup or at least it has been for me. I sometimes just wallop them and other times they just run over me. Our early removal is key and their new access to the new green cards that can be a bit grindier makes the matchup tougher.
Game 1- This was a typical game one against merfolk. I was on the draw and kept 7. I had heavy removal which worked out well. I was able to kill most of his threats and he was left with one merolk and two Aether Vial on the board after turn 4 or 5. I landed a Geist who basically ran away with the game. He had a dismember but couldn't use it. I had to utilize boros charm to keep Geist alive for an attack, but all in all it was a pretty text book game.
Game 2- Engineered Explosives is a good card :). The opponent was able to get a decent board together rather quickly with a couple of lords. A timely EE on 2 on turn 3 made things a lot easier for me. I mulled to 6 and had utilized some removal to stay alive so I was low on resources, but had a Bedlam Reveler to refill a bit. I drew a lightning helix off of him that gave me a little breathing room. He drew a couple of lands and merfolk, but the reveler put me enough ahead on resources that I won a couple of turns later.
Review- This was a fairly typical merfolk series. This matchup can easily be lost, but I do feel we are favored with a lot of creature removal.
2-1
Round 4- UW Control
Overall- I have said this before, but this matchup really depends on the specific build of control. If they have Geist of Saint Traft we have a much harder time. If they don't I tend to beat them. This person did not have Geist.
Game 2- This was more like a grindy control matchup. I landed an early delver which he pathed when it flipped. He was able to counter most of my meaningful spells, but I did land Search for Azcanta. However, when I flipped it into a land he took it out with Field of Runes which hurt because I thought it was my avenue to victory. He took a turn to land Jace, Architect of Thought so I decided to go for my Geist. He cryptic commanded the geist, but I had negate back up and landed the geist which is huge in this matchup. He put a wall of omens in front of Geist which is fine and had Celestial Colonnade almost ready to animate regularly. I attacked in with Geist and he let Jace die. I had vapor snag for the colonnade and we were both rather low on cards. He top decked Supreme Verdict so I decided to vapor snag my own Geist. It ended up working and the Geist landed again. He did a great job of keeping me off of red mana for most of the game and actually destroyed a lot of my lands with Crucible of Worlds, but he drew lands and I drew gas. At the end of the game I had 6 lands and he had 13. That was the difference. I just cast more spells.
Review- I don't think I would win that second game if he drew better at the end, but keeping Geist in play made all of the difference. They really have very few ways to deal with a resolved Geist and he does major work. We can definitely steal games quickly from them as well. I didn't steal any quick ones, but we can throw a lot at them. Pierces and Dispel are awesome in this matchup and did some work. In the end Geist carried the matchup though.
3-1
I'm always happy with a 3-1 and played against some cool decks.
Sounds like you had a blast too
Doesn't happen that often but it's always nice if Bob kills your opponent or if they have to kill their own Bob to not die. Muahaha.
And yes, I too like Search for Azcanta a LOT.
As for the final FNM round:
First game I had to take 3 mulligans because I had 0 lands or 1 land and nothing to cast. So I started with 4 cards and he played turn 1 Swiftspear into turn 2 Kiln Fiend. Turned out he played a UR Glasscannon deck with 4x Swiftspear, 4xThing in the Ice, 4x Kiln Fiend and 2x Bedlam Reveler. I was dead turn 3.
Second game I boarded both Deflecting Palms, Dispel, Negate and Purge. He played a Thing in the Ice with 4 counters and I decided to go for a Geist turn 3. He played Manamorphose, Manamorphose, Mutagenic, Mutagenic, Temur Battle Rage and I died... 0:2
So round 4 was very disappointing but I was happy that his deck was able to go 4-0.
We played one more game for fun because the first game was so bad and that third game was really interesting.
I bought time with Vapor Snag but he was able to flip Thing a few turns later. I tried to stop his attack with Snap+Vapor but he had Apostle's Blessing and therefore Protection from Blue and hit me for 7. Next turn (I already had five lands in play) I played Geist and held up Deflecting Palm. He attacked and took 7 dmg thanks to Palm. The following turn I played Worship and he had no answer to Worship+Geist (except for flipping a new Thing to bounce all my creatures, but he didn't live that long...).
That's a matchup where the Worship is amazing. Those glass cannon matchups can go either way. I actually used to run 2c Kiln Fiend in the deck when I was running multiple rebound spells, but I found the aggro-control style to be much more suited for an open field. Kiln Fiend is still awesome though. I would think Deflecting Palm would do some work as well. I'm glad you were able to 3-1 as well. It was a good week for jeskai delver :).
Hey all, thought I'd introduce myself. I'm new to the forums here but have been a long time magic player off and on through the years. I recently picked up again during the first innistraad block with geist of saint traft and needless to say I played UWR control in standard. Shortly after I started getting my toes into modern and have been playing it ever since.
I played jeskai geist for a long time including playing it during GP Vancouver earlier this year. Needless to say I've moved from it to playing strictly UR/W Delver where mostly I was trying to play UR. Currently I've been playing UWR Delver again as the white cards in my opinion outweigh being able to play things like blood moon. I'm posting here as I'd like to contribute to the jeskai hivemind. If anyone has any questions about the list I'd love to talk about it as well as suggestions and opinions for me to mull over.
I 4-0'd my last FNM on friday Nov. 17 with my Jeskai Delver list. I had a bye round 1, and played Abzan midrange, Mardu Reanimator with goryo's griselbrand/emrakul, and in the last round affinity. If people are interested I can write a report but for the most part I 2-0'd abzan, 2-1'd mardu and 2-1'd affinity in an epic fashion where I top decked kozileks return twice to deal with his etched champion equipped with cranial in game 3 and in game 2 ranger of eos fetched me two delvers with one on board. My opponent attacked with a 1/1 blinkmoth, 7/7 ravager and 2/2 steel overseer requiring me to block the inkmoth with my queller, the ravager with my 1/1 delver and my eos on his overseer. He sac'd the ravager to put counters on the blinkmoth, eos traded with overseer, queller died and delver lived. On my next turn I played two delvers holding path for his blinkmoth, he attacked and I pathed it which then he passed. On my next turn all three delvers flipped for a lethal attack. Eos is the *****.
Since Friday I took out 1x cryptic serpent for 1x enigma drake and the boros charm in the sideboard was a supreme verdict but I'm testing something in that slot as a utility card for grindy matches, so far between boros charm and essence backlash.

Welcome Kaberb!
Great run at your FNM! Deck also looks sweet.
Search for Azcanta has proved to be a positive addition (either from the Sideboard or in the main) as a 1 of (2 max) especially in the grindy matches. I think its not a bad card either to run 1 copy in the main. Flyers are always great in Modern. I have a tendecy to run Mantis Rider. Cryptic Serpent is a cool card but many times you just want a guy with evasion to end the game. I have had positive results with Enigma Drake too.

Welcome to the jeskai delver/prowess topic! I'm really glad you posted because you are playing a lot of cards people have postulated about, but have yet to adopt. Mainly Enigma Drake and Cryptic Serpent. Both seem like great options, but have mostly been pushed out by Geist, Queller, Reveler, and Hazoret at the "top end" of most decks. I am really interested to hear how they perform for you.
For Grindy matchups I have found Search for Azcanta and Bedlam Reveler do the trick. I have had very good luck with them and they fit our main game plan as well.
A bit off topic, but I didn't want to double post. I have changed my sideboard so I wanted to post it

Warm welcome from me as well! One thing that I felt I wanted to stress: You can absolutely run Blood Moon in a Jeskai Delver list, and I recommend doing so. It improves several of your match-ups and can give you free wins against other 3 color decks.
How are you finding the 3 snares main, because in my experience it should a one-of or max a two-of. Also, Ranger of Eos, what gives? In your list he only fetches Delver which, while I admire the sentiment, is far from efficient.
I'd suggest a couple of deflecting palms in your sideboard for racing purposes. As for cards for grinding, I'm playing around with Chart a Course and I'm beyond satisfied with them. I've yet to try Search for Azcanta, but its power is undeniable.
Welcome Kaberb
Good luck with your deck and remember to have fun. Nice results at FNM. Let us know how your card choices pan out please, and thank you.
Ali Antrazi's sideboard made me think twice about a card that has been mentioned here before- Soulfire Grandmaster. I have been looking for something against burn and have been running a Blessed Alliance in the sideboard because it has other matchups where it is also nice. However, the repeated source of life gain would be nice. The downside is that it dies to almost everything in their deck and gives them another Searing Blaze target. Luckily we have more protection than most decks, but it would still be a fragile threat. I think the payoff might be worth the risk however. I am going to test it out against burn and see what happens.
I have been working on my sideboard lately. The sideboard is always changing, however I want to make sure I have no "dead" slots.
Hi GoyfTomcat. It's good to hear from you. This is a classic GoyfTomcat list. Aggro/Burn with the best of them. I am thinking about cutting a spell pierce from my maindeck and going a bit more aggro in game one and then siding into a more tempo deck. Time and testing will tell. Thanks for posting and I hope all is well.
Not really. How have the Valarous Stances been? That's not a card I am used to. I like a little counter magic in the maindeck, but this is not that style of deck. It's more aggro/burn and then sides into the more aggro-control role. I really don't have any suggestions. The deck looks good.
Soulfire Grandmaster. I have been looking for something against burn and have been running a Blessed Alliance in the sideboard because it has other matchups where it is also nice. However, the repeated source of life gain would be nice. The downside is that it dies to almost everything in their deck and gives them another Searing Blaze target. What do you guys think?
Soulfire was great in standard, and the price has dropped a lot. Soulfire requires some mana dedication for the flashback effect which the deck does not want to do. The life gain off of the instants will be marginal because you play more counters than damage. Plus it weakens your over all stratagem.
Blessed alliance is better, it does more in more match ups not just burn, The sac an attacker is worth keeping it over soulfire.
Verses burn, you want to out pace them. Burn is a count down deck. They can only go down 18 damage most of the time, then they are top decking. If you can counter (not Remand) them a few times you buy your self a turn. Each turn is worth 3 life or 6 life. If you can prevent that much damage then you win an extra turn. They will run out of gas faster than we will.
This forum is already over 100 pages strong and I know that no new person will go back and read them all (even though I recommend to start at around page 90 before posting anything here since a lot of ideas, sideboard cards etc. have been discussed already).
The link I posted shows some interesting Jeskai Delver builds. Some of them have been posted here but it's tedious to skim through all the pages and look for them. There are some YP lists, some burn heavy lists (GofyTomcat1, you might like Andrea Forti's deck), some cool lists with Thundermaw Hellkites as top ends, and even lists with a black splash. I find it inspiring to look at these lists.
It's also interesting to see how the core of about 25 spells is the same in all of these (and our) decks.
CurdBros, are you having any problems in the Burn match up? For me this seems like one of the easiest match ups in the whole meta game. At a tournament, an opponent who plays Burn seems almost like a bye.
I run 4 cards main that gain me life (3x Helix, 1x Jeskai Charm). I usually board in 1x Dispel, 2x Palm, 1x Purge, and 1x Worship. If I suspect Blood Moon then even 1x Wear//Tear (which also kills their graveyard hate and Eidolon). During the last two years I ran a lot of different sideboard cards against Burn and Rest for the Weary & Kor Firewalker were very efficient. I just cut them because other cards do more against a bigger variety of decks.
GofyTomcat1, I like your list but I have a few questions. How did you came to the conclusion that you want to run 4x Goblin Guide and not 4 Delvers (who should flip quite often with 23 enablers)? Did you test them both and the Guides lead to better results?
The only thing I don't like about the deck is that you dedicate 3 SB slots to Leyline. Personally I don't like running three when I know that I add at least two dead draws to my deck.
Hello again my fellow peeps Another 2-1 with my opponent urging to ID the last round so he can go eat out with his friend... s unfortunately I was not able to play 4 rounds... once of these freakin days ill be able to actually play 4 rounds.
Emeria R1
First Round
I think he is on soul Sisters but it turns out to be an Emeria, the sky Ruin deck. Squadran Hawks, Flickerwisp, Blase Splicer, Wrath of God maindeck, Pilgrim's Eye, Lone Missionary, mistveil plains which turned out to be really good during out grindfest of g2 that he took over with that and Sun Titan. Activating that and putting a squad hawk into the library, playing or attacking with Sun Titan to get a Squad Hawk then getting the other one back was pretty good lol All the cards that i seen, moving on.
So I see both Copies of Electrolyze this game t3, snap t5 electrolyze, then a few turns after I see the other copy. This card destroyed him lol Squad hawks and blade plicer and flickerwisp (which btw seemed pretty good to flickerwisp a bladesplicer to get another goldem)...after I played geist t4 he played his wrath but I drew another one soon after and just rode it to victory.
Took out 2 helix, a logic knot, 2 geist and a bolt,
Brought in 2 Relic, 2 Pia, 1 EE, 1 Staticaster.
G2 it starts a little worse for me. I'm partially flooding out and he is drawing into some good things this round. An unanswered Sun Titan just runs away with this game combined with the Mist plains. I saw a relic earlier this game but popped it to try to counter an Oblivion Ring that was going to target my spell queller that had snagged his flickerwisp. He makes a few more golems and I flood out not really doing too much this game.
g3 went a lot more my way. Bolt, path, geist, Izzet staticaster was in my opening hand and that single handedly won my the game lol just did the jeskai way this game, removal, a cryptic, and rode geist to the Win. Great games, a lot of fun.
2-1 = 1-0
Affinity R2
T1 he pays a blinkmoth... then passes.. sweet! My hand is FLOODED with removal. 2 lightning helix, a bolt, 1 electrolyze, 2 lands and a serum visions. He plays stuff, I kill it. He plays stuff, I kill it. He plays stuff, I keep killin it lol Steel overseer, master of etherium, arcbound ravager and he didnt have enough to get him out of helix range, then plays a vault skirge and swings with a blinkmoth nexus so i tag them with electrolyze. I see a spell queller but it eats a galvanic blast. finally i get to my Celestial Colonnade and I start working my way down. Felt like it took forever to see it this game. See geist soon after, and i win kind of easily.

mull to 6, I keep a one lander fetch on the play with a bolt and EE, a snare and a logic.
Scry doesnt matter but i fetch t1 and serum visions. got a land and set up a land for next turn so im good. He Thoughtseize my logic knot, and I hit a ravager with the spell snare, but then I soon get a cranial plating in my face. Im able to stir off a big attack with it with a few removal spells and then EE away the cranial. He just plays another with Etched Champion, balls. I dont draw my supreme verdict but it didnt matter, and lose soon after he plays Bloodmoon... i forgot they played this... lol 1-1
g3
I'm greedy and Keep a one lander but with my hand looks good. I really give this a long look, and know I shouldn't have kept it but my gut said It would work out So i trusted him lol
We trade back and forth on a couple things, nothing is stickin on his side but im staling on lands. He gets a Champion down with a plating and my heart sinks slightly, without any counter spells from me, and sets up for next turn. I play Pia and Kiran Nalaar so I have a couple blockers thankfully.
I'm running on a very short clock and i even spite him and start attacking with pia and k. I play my other one and stall longer. last turn.... SUPREME VERDICT YES! Slam it down after attacking. He draws land, the race is on. I need a land for CC.. got it! start the clock, he hits a few lands and a vault skirge but i hit that easily. THE GAME IS MINE!
2-1 = 2-0
last round... mono black Infect... he wrecks me. Just legitimately stomps me. 0-2
1st game 2 discard spells hitting a logic knot and a geist, and i top deck a lucky geist for t3 but he plays Liliana of the veil on his t3 and clears it. After getting rid of 2 geist and a logic knot I dont have too much more to do and I draw irrelevant stuff and he beats me with a Inkmoth Nexus attached to Lashwrithe... that game ended stupid quick. I also made a mistake during the game and am definitely not used to playing against Lashwrithe. I lightning helix'ed it instead of path to exile it off of a snapcaster flashback. For some reason I thought that would kill it... not really sure what was going through my mind... moving on...
I'm brought out

I mull to 6 after a no lander. Keep an ok hand. He starts with 2 discard spells, hitting another login knot and a v clique.
He rides a Liliana of the Veil up to 6 since I don't draw anything i can throw at her and my spell queller and Celestial colonnade attack arent sticking around due to fatal push, and ult's Lili after I play a P and K. So i keep the pile that has 2 thopters and 2 lands which gives me all colors. I am stuck on 2 lands, I have a snap in my hand that im thinking about throwing out to try to get the damage race on since he doesn't have anything else, but i keep it hoping to hit a land so i can serum visions. I'm thinking if he top decks a lashwrithe and an infect creature he will have me in 2 turns, So i wont win the damage race anyways and need to set up my library for some kind of answer to actually win. So i keep it for 2 attacks, and throw it out anyways when i draw stuff i cant play. He plays phyrexian crusader.... SOAB.. he finds ANOTHER one a couple turns later and He rides those thoroughly to victory. I never really felt like I had a chance against this deck. I kind of think i should have left in a couple geists but i dont know.
All in all the deck still feels very good. I am going to drop geist down to 3, probably 4 my quellers. I also adjusted the mana base to have a mountain and 2 hallowed fountains.
Been considering Runed Halo, Thundermaw Hellkite, and or Gideon, Ally of Zendikar for my sideboard. Halo for a whole bunch of match ups, the other 2 I just want to have a threat I can rely on that I don't have to worry about getting fatal pushed if i side out my Geist. Gideon I had great success with in a jeskai geist shell. I havent used thundermaw with this build yet.
Hope everyone is doing well and happy thanksgiving
I uploaded two more videos which I'd like to share.
The first video shows the third game against 8Rack in a match that I won 2-1.
8Rack can go pretty terrible and therefore I want to show how everything can still turn out fine after loosing game 1
My opponent had won the first game thanks to a timely Smallpox which killed my Geist and set me back to two lands. He drew the exactly right amount of discard spells and Racks so I died quickly. Second game was a close race but I finished him quicker...
In this third game he doesn't draw enough discard and Azcanta seals the deal.
The second video shows the third game against Grixis Control in a match that I won 2-1.
Grixis control can be tough too but I really like how this third game went. I love Surgical against them because they often Thought Scour their own Snapcaster into their graveyard and he's the prime extraction target. Surgical absolutely steals this match and it's awesome
I am not sure if it was right here to play Geist on turn 3 instead of waiting until turn 4 to play him while holding Spell Pierce up. I try to kill them quickly because they usually have the better lategame (see both Charms...).
I am testing Shadow of Doubt here (2x from SB) because many of you were mentioning it and it worked pretty well. I am still not a 100% convinced though because of the UU cost.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I will respond to everyone later, but wanted to send a quick message to everyone. Have a great day today!
Rest of post.
Stevomat- I actually don't find burn to be so bad, but someone who watched the Great Nate videos said they were having problems with burn so I wanted to make sure the matchup was as decent as I thought it was. I agree that I think we have plenty against them. I will also watch your videos later today.
RutherJC- You know I'm a sucker for the tournament reports! Thanks for posting. Glad to hear all is going well. I know that Great Nate was also thinking about running Runed Hallow.
I'm reporting 4-5 events that I've played the past couple of weeks:
2 were mediocre to bad (a 2-2 and a 0-4 - worst draws ever, lost to 4 of my good match-ups). One interesting match I played was UB Faeries. Personally I'd put it as even to unfavored, he specifically had 1 Sword of Fire and Ice which totally destroyed my mediocre hand on it's own. The rest was a 4-0 and today a 4-1, where I lost in the last round against Temur Scapeshift with some horrible draws both games (I drew 12 out of 18 lands in the 2nd game...). The only cards that I'm not "happy" about is Valorous Stance, in the sense that is only useful when facing big creatures or later in the game for defending a delver/pyromancer. Otherwise, I'm pretty solid on all my card slots and outside of extreme variance (hi 0-4!) it's got game against everything.
I've yet to acquire some Search for Azcantas (saving up for my foil Snapcaster Mages), but I wanna try them against grindy opponents, but I'm still pondering what to swap for them. Any thoughts?

I asked GoyfTomcat about Valorous Stance as well. I have not played it in my maindeck, but with Path and Vapor Snag I don't think we need to take up a slot with valorous stance. At 18 lands I would just cut the stance and add an additional Opt or Serum Visions, or even Thought Scour. I have been flooding a bit to much lately and you have reminded me that 18 lands is likely right.
As for Search for Azcanta, I need to do more testing against midrange decks to see if it really helps those matchups. I think it might. I have played it against jeskai midrange and it was bonkers. It was also great against UW control, but he was able to kill the land once it flipped. I can't fully recommend it yet, but I can say when it flips it is broken. I also know Stevomat has had a lot of luck with it as well so he will likely have more experience to let you know about.

Great videos! I love these. You dismantled the Grixis Control deck. That was awesome to watch. Winning against Pox is also awesome. I am currently running two Shadow of Doubt and am questioning if I should keep them. They looked good there and they are good against valakut decks and gifts storm, but I want to make sure they hit enough to warrant a spot. I will let you know what I find out when I get to play a bit more.
Yesterday I played against Jeskai Combo in round one (with both combos: Saheeli/Cat & Nahiri/Emrakul) and won 2:0. He couldn't find an answer to Geist in both games. Round two I won 2:1 against Grixis Death Shadow. Second game, which I lost, I had him at 2 life. Best moment: Third game when he played Inquisition and saw 1 Path and 1 Palm in my hand and he knew that he was dead no matter what he takes
Round three was against a 10 yo with a mono blue control deck running many counters and some fatties. I won 2:0 but it wasn't fair at all. His whole deck costed maybe 30 Euros. I felt sorry for him and wanted to encourage him so that he keeps playing Magic so I presented him some cards from my binder.
Round four was the revenge for last week's final. I had to play against the UR Glass Cannon deck again and this time I won 2:0. I played very carefully this time and it all worked out fine.
So, counting the last two weeks, my winning percentage is 90% online and offline and now I feel that my deck is perfect the way it is. I don't think that I will change anything anymore until stronger cards are printed in upcoming sets

// 14 Creature
3 Geist of Saint Traft
4 Snapcaster Mage
4 Delver of Secrets
3 Young Pyromancer
// 24 Instant
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Path to Exile
4 Lightning Helix
3 Remand
3 Spell Pierce
2 Deflecting Palm
4 Opt
// 18 Land
1 Island
1 Mountain
1 Plains
3 Steam Vents
4 Scalding Tarn
4 Flooded Strand
2 Hallowed Fountain
1 Sacred Foundry
1 Arid Mesa
4 Serum Visions
// 2 Artifact
2 Relic of Progenitus
// 3 Creature
1 Izzet Staticaster
2 Aven Mindcensor
// 9 Instant
3 Ceremonious Rejection
2 Wear // Tear
2 Blessed Alliance
2 Dispel
// 1 Sorcery
1 Shattering Spree
Never find any tron in cockatrice so Ceremonious Rejection rarely got boarded in.
So far I feel happy with this configuration during my venture at cockatrice for about a week now. Opt is really good. I can happily play 18 lands because of it!
Suggestions are welcome.
P.S. Spell Pierce-ing opponent's Cryptic Command is gold!
My 180 Modern Bordered Only Cube

0-1
Overall- We all know by now this is a tough matchup and a grindy one. I have several sideboard cards like Chandra, Pyromaster, Search for Azcanta, and Bedlam Reveler that are imporant.
Round 2- Abzan
Game 1- On the play and mulled to 6. I had a very good 6 card hand (2 lands, a swiftspear, opt, visions, and something else that I forgot). He made a "mistake" on turn two when he Spreading Seaed my steam vents to take me off of red mana. I was able to land a turn 3 Geist of Saint Traft[/c ] and that pretty much took over the game. He tried to flash a snapcaster in to block him, but it was bolted. In addition, he got stuck on four lands. Cryptic Command slowed Geist down, but he didn't find the sweeper for him.

Active thread contributor of Jeskai Prowess Tempo
I have changed my sideboard so I wanted to post it
2 Deflecting Palm

Good luck with your deck and remember to have fun. Nice results at FNM. Let us know how your card choices pan out please, and thank you.

If you need answers in sideboard try, rest for the weary, or wall of essence
Welcome to the forum. Since we have some new members I thought it might be interesting to post this link:
Jeskai Delver decks that fared well at tournaments

He plays stuff, I keep killin it lol
Steel overseer, master of etherium, arcbound ravager and he didnt have enough to get him out of helix range, then plays a vault skirge and swings with a blinkmoth nexus so i tag them with electrolyze.

I'm brought out
-4 geist -3 helix

Thanks you very much DarkNightCavalier for the Sig.
More to follow

Went to FNM yesterday and managed to go 4-0!
I played the same deck with just one change: I switched the Negate in my SB for a Shadow of Doubt.
