Hi CurdBros, I like your list even more with these two cards. They'll make your deck even more competitive
Some food for thought:
I stumbled over an old forgotten card and I think it might be a very good SB card for us in the current meta! Hushwing Gryff
Has anyone tried it lately?
It's very good against 2 of the most popular aggro decks: Spirits & Humans.
(shuts down Queller, P Image, Meddling M, Reflector M, Thalia's L, Freeboter - with instant speed!)
It's also good against some combo decks: Valakut & Dredge.
(shuts down Titan and Baloths (which are a real pain after SB), shuts down P Amalgam too)
Against Dredge I board out 1-2 of my Snappys anyways because I bring in GY hate...
It also seems decent against control decks when it's played in response to Snappy or Clique.
Other important creatures/decks it's good against: Thought-Knot Seer, Soul Sisters, 8-Whack, Kitchen Finks & Eternal Witness...
I am going to give it a try in my SB this Friday.
I have been using torpor orb for this task. Cheaper, easier to cast, does not die to bolt/push/path.
I have been very happy for all the reasons above.
Hi WickedApp, that's interesting.
How many Torpor Orbs are you using in your SB and how many Snappys are you boarding out when you board your Orbs in?
You wrote that Gryff dies to Bolt and Path which is true but neither Humans nor Spirits play these removal spells. Valakut has Bolt and Anger but against them I'd play Gryff in response to a Titan/Baloth anyways and then I am already profiting from it's effect. Dredge boards in artifact/enchantment removal so Gryff may have an even better chance to survive than Orb does.
I guess both cards have their merits and demerits. I like the idea to have an additional attacker with evasion at instant-speed but your points are valid. Testing will show how fast Gryff will die and if it's too slow with CMC3.
Yesterday I played a match on MTGO against Green Devotion with 2 Gryffs in my SB and they would have been awesome against 4x Eternal Witness and 4x Wistful Selkie but I couldn't find my Gryffs and when I had my opponent at 1 life in game 3 he resolved a Genesis Wave (X=12) and won -_- (because he gained too much life with several lands and Coursers)
Here is a list I found whilst perusing the Internet. Link is here:https://deck.hareruyamtg.com/en/deck/99175/show/
It had two of my favorite cards in it (I'll leave it to you to decide which two) and I like the look of it
It is a little dated, however. Anyone have any suggestions/comments for it?
Hi, I found this list much more interesting to be honest. It made 9th place in a tournament with 190 players! It features Gideons + Geists which I really like
GofyTomcat1, have you seen this one?
Those are some interesting deck lists. Both are cool in their own right. Neither are my cup of tea, but both obviously work well enough to do well in a tournament. Chance at Glory is a really cool addition. I have been trying to make a deck work with that card. On that note, the new Dovin Bann works really well in my jeskai superfriends extra turn deck so I will be updating that list as well. However, that deck a separate topic so I won't be talking about it much here without putting it under a drop down.
GoyfTomCat1- That deck is super similar to the ones you have posted. Maybe that guy/girl has seen your decks and liked them. Super awesome.
I love seeing all of these lists because the malleability of the jeskai deck is one of my favorite things about it.

I played 2 in SB (edit)
At that time I did not own snappy. I died quick to titan he is a good player. I did not play spirits vs jeskia but Soul Sistas played it & the match up was in SS favor. Humans went back and forth lost match but close game vs jeskia savoir the moment.
at my meta a lot of fast aggro at the moment.
I like the chance for glory list. I might add that artifact that ends the turn early
Did anyone read this article?
There are a lot of people who think that this card is really strong, much stronger than it looks on first glance. We definitely have to test this card.

I really like the card. First thing I thought of was Gemstone Caverns and U though-knot seer deck.
But, It can be great in Delver decks acting as an early filter in hand, and card manipulator later. What to give up for a card slot, and how many would you run in Jeskai? I am thinking just a 1 off.

I agree. This is likely a 1 or 2 of in the delver deck. It stinks because you want to run 4 copies to ensure it's more likely to be in your opening hand, but we often can't support the mana cost. It's a great fit for many of the decks on here. It doesn't fit my deck, but it's a great card.
I liked savoir the moment but the deck was too slow, and the mana getting tied up did not help.
I love Savor the Moment. My second deck is built around that card. I am adding the new Dovin Bann to the deck so I will be testing that deck a bit soon. I will share it once the list is complete.
This new salamander is super intriguing for our deck. I am considering it Delver of Secrets 5 and 6. It's the kind of card we like. It's cheap and can be bigger in the late game. I am definitely going to be testing it.
I am almost 100% running a play-set on top of Delver. The fact that adapt can be done at instant speed (and on this guy will almost always be 1-3 mana) to prevent a Bolt kill, while not wasting mana if they have a Push or Path kill seems amazing. And even 1 untap with a 5/5 flier goes so far...
While I love Peezy in my super spell-heavy build, he is just too slow against so much of the meta since we don't run hand manipulation and he cant ever attack in most games. I would of course hold a spot in my Sideboard, but this little guy seems so good for our beatdown plan. This is definitely a push towards a Swiftspear lowdown build with permission and burn (and probably exceptional for those of you who play Reveler).
I totally agree angl. I have only played a few games running two copies of the salamander, but it has been very good when I played it. It turns into the 5/5 flier way earlier than expected. I run a cantrip/burn heavy build. The only problem I can forsee is that adding the salamander opens me up to graveyard hate. Because I run Snapacaster Mage and Bedlam Reveler already, running Salamander almost assures that the opponent will side in graveyard hate. With only snapcaster and Reveler I never really minded if they sided in graveyard hate because it didn't hit much of my deck, but now I am a little more worried about it.
I will be testing Salamander in the deck for the foreseeable future. I might try something like this:
My deck is much slower than your deck, CurdBros, so I might not be the best judge here, but I think Salamander Drake fits much better in a Phoenix deck with 4x Manamorphose and more than 10 cantrips/draw spells. It's a bit frightening that they received yet another tool.
Regarding the spoilers, I have to say that I love this card:
Unfortunately it's unplayable in a Delver deck, but if I would run GofyTomcat1's Jeskai Geist list, I'd change
4x Geist of Saint Traft
4x Lightning Angel
4x Snapcaster Mage
to
4x Geist of Saint Traft
2x Restoration Angel
2x Angel of Grace
4x Snapcaster Mage
That must be awesome!
I am going to test Revival // Revenge in my Dark Jeskai deck because bringing a Geist back directly into play is sweet.

This almost makes me want to consider mono-blue tempo as well (Force of Shoal, Badboi Djinn, Addict's Card-draw, etc...).

1 Boros Charm
2 Remand
2 Spell Pierce
3 Path to Exile
1 Vapor Snag
1 Echoing Truth
4 Opt
3 Serum Visions
1 Faithless Looting
Geist is a bit out of place, but works in a lot of games that couldn't otherwise be won. I may move him to the sideboard, but will try this for now.
