@pojie1084; I am a fan of blessed alliance I play 2 of in my SB. You might look for a spot for electrickery or something cheap and similar in the 2 drop boardwipe.
The earthshakers are a bit odd in the list. Not sure if the list even needs them.
The earthshakers are a bit odd in the list. Not sure if the list even needs them.
I also find it odd. But it is one way to close out the game, especially if you flood out. But if ever im gonna change the list, i might go back to Delver of Secrets build. And this would be the list i have in mind.
I just cant get away from lightning angel, a very good attacker and blocker, cannot be killed by lightning bolt. And the meta in my place right now, is very weak to flyers. I'm not much of a fan for spell queller, especially if you are on the draw, on the play i like the card. That's why i split it between spell queller and lightning angel.
Very cool list! I am interested to see how Kari Zev works. She is like a mini Giest of Saint Traft :). I too am a fan of Bedlam Reveler. He is just awesome whenever he resolves. People often for get a 3/4 prowess body is also a beating. I have never understood why Vexing Devil gets a bad reputation. I realize people say "good players will always pick the better option for them", but when both options are not good it doesn't matter if they pick the best option. Vexing Devil is seeing play in the new Vengevine Aggro decks so maybe people are catching on.
Definitely keep us posted.
Thanks!
I am trying to go for a Tempo/Beatdown strategy, thats why creatures with evasion(Kari Zev) works fine on the list.
Ppl understimate Vexing Devil because it is not a win condition, it is viable for a group of specific scenarios however 90% of the cards works like that.

When playing with a new strange list, try the following:
On any turn, a few times in a round after untap your cards, said to your oponent ¨... im at my upkeep step¨
Then look at your hand, check up the board, check your life points notes, if required check both graveyards and/or point your finger like you were counting damage.
Wait a few seconds and look as you were thinking a play... all of this in your upkeep step...
Then say.... hmmm nop nop... Ill draw...

Welcome pojie1084! I'm glad you found us. I also love Lightning Angel. I second the inclusion of Savor of Moments for any deck running both Mantis Rider and Lightning Angel. I love that interaction, but it is a bit cute. It doesn't fit your list, but I love the card.
As for your list, I don't see much I would change in the main deck. I wish I could be more helpful, but It looks very solid. Keep us posted on how it goes.
Hi,
yesterday I played a nice game against the UW Control(/Miracles) deck that is doing well in many tournaments lately.
I used my Gideon deck again because the Sarkhan variant doesn't work as well (which is a shame because I love Thundermaw -_-).
You can watch These games here: Game 2 & Game 3
Game 1 I had no Chance. My opponent started and always had a counter spell at the ready. He managed to resolve a Teferi and I couldn't find enough burn to kill him quickly. When he countered my Geist I had to Scoop.
Game 2 & 3 my sideboard cards did some heavy lifting. Sulfur Elemental rendered half of my opponent's Timely Reinforcements useless and thereby won me the game. I was lucky however to dodge Terminus for two turns...
Funny how he was suspecting MODO to have a bug I really that card in my SB against Lingering Souls and now with Control decks gaining more popularity.
In game 3 I drew all my SB counters (Dispel, Spell Snare and Disdainful Stroke) and... you'll see
I always love these videos. Thanks for sharing them StevomatUWR. Your deck does a great job spanning the gap from tempo to more midrange/control. The sideboard counter spells definitely paid off in game 3. Also Sulfur Elemental was very impactful. I thought about bringing in Izzet Staticaster the last time I faced UW control, but then decided not to in the end. I wasn't sure how many [/c]Timely Reinforcements[/c] he was running and I didn't know if he ran Elspeth Sun's Champion (which he did) or Lingering Souls (which he didn't). H only cast 1 timely and by the time he case Elspeth the game was all but over given I had bolt snap bolt and he was at 4 life. I still am not sure whether I should side in Staticaster. I think it's really a coin flip and depands on your plan. My plan against them is to get out early and tempo them out so Staticaster didn't really fit that plan. On the draw Staticaster/Sulfur Elemental are likely good options.
The play where you cast lightning bolt to the face was awesome. Very few people who pick up the deck would know that is the correct play at the time. Our deck plays a bit more aggressively than most UWR decks so I have seen a lot of players that will continue to hold burn damage instead of casting it when they have a chance. UW control has very few creatures and we have plently of burn/removal so most of the burn damage should go to the face. We have to play from ahead to make our more efficient counter magic better than their more powerful counter magic so getting them low early is almost always beneficial (unless they have timely, but we can't worry about that).
It's been awhile since I have done the matchup of the week. The videos inspired be to go with UW Control for the matchup of the week. Here is my take
MATCHUP OF THE WEEK- UW CONTROL
Game 1- Being on the play is super helpful in this matchup. I basically try to keep an early threat and tempo them out and or burn them out. Because we don't have to really flood the board with attackers, their sweepers are not that great. Like in most control matchups Geist of Saint Traft is the single best option. They are a bit better off because they have so many sweepers and timely reinforcements, but Geist still destroys them.
Side Board- I typically side in all of my counter magic- Dispel, [/c]Negate[/c], Disdainful Stroke, Spell Pierce. If the matchup includes a lot of tokens Izzet Staticaster and Sulfur Elemental can be good. I personally also side in Chandra, Pyromaster for the additional burn damage and the additional late game threat as they can draw a game out. Grim Lavamancer is also a decent choice if you have a lot to side out in the matchup. I side out one remand, one path to exile, distortion strike, and one lightning helix typically. If I side in additional cards I typically just remove one cantrip.
Overall- I think this matchup is a really fun matchup to play. I would say game one is 45/55 depending on the play/draw. On the play we may be close to 50/50, but on the draw I think we are very slightly unfavored. After sideboarding I think the matchup basically becomes 50/50. We get a lot of help from the sideboard, however, they also get a decent amount of help. I really think this is a great matchup to practice because the games can be so complex and decent play is necessary. I highly recommend getting reps against it against someone that plays the deck well.
I just made an account and I am a fresh jeskai player looking to work on my deck and my general MtG knowledge! My deck is definitely similar to many of yours, with one big difference being that my mana base is partially budget because I don't have the money for Scalding Tarns or a third/fourth Snapcaster Mage lol. Regardless, I'll post my deck here and I'll report my FNM results when I get around to an FNM at a competitive(ish) venue. My local LGS went under last year and the store I've been going to recently has very small FNM turnouts and the meta is un-competitive or marginally competitive homebrews (it's a lot of fun and the people are very nice, but it is not often challenging). The only real competition comes from my buddies that show up who like to run Tron, Mill, Fish etc. There is another store a bit further away I'd like to get to sometime with a much more competitive meta, and it will be a good chance to put this deck through the gauntlet and get some real experience with it. I've read bits and pieces of this whole thread but I'm going to attempt to read "most" of it - consider it doing my studies haha. Looking forward to getting involved in some discussions and reporting my FNM results!

@HAL 9001: Welcome to our thread
I like your deck, it's very similar to CurdBros' deck so he'll have some advice for you for sure.
@CurdBros: Regarding UW Control, I don't think it's such a fun matchup. It takes very long and often there isn't even enough time to play out all three games of a match. I hate when both players do nothing and just pass turn after turn after turn. The control opponent is waiting to counter something and you don't want to play into their counterspells... Anyhow, it's a huge advantage to be on the draw (speaking from my experience) because that makes it much easier to resolve a Geist. Sideboarding is pretty simple: I put in as much counterspells and creatures with Flash as I can.
Yesterday I went to FNM and I had to play against Control 3 times: Jeskai Control, Mardu Pyromancer and UW Control. Jeskai match ended 1-1 because I fooled around. I could have played defense to survive the extra turns in game 2 but I wanted to kill my opponent So each of us won one game with Geist beatdown.
Round 2 I beat Mardu Pyro 2-0. First game two Gideons grinded through my opponent. He managed to kill the first one with 2 Bolts but the second one killed him with help of Remand - Snap - Remand to slow him down and a few burn spells to the face. Second game I had turn 2 Rest in Peace and won easily.
Round 3 I beat UW Control 2-0. Again, Gideon was MVP in game one and game two I had several counter spells and killed him little by little, first with Lavamancer, then with Snappy and finally with Resto and Fumarole. My opponent drew too many lands both games but that happens when you play 24-25 lands.
As you can see I played 22 lands but this time with 4 utility lands that really make up for flooding out. Fumarole is my threat no. 16 and with that number I always have at least one permanent in play to attack my opponent with. Lighthouse and Stronghold turn any top deck war in my favor when a game goes long and help me to get to 3 or 4 lands more consistently to be able to cast Snap+Helix or Snap+Remand.
A lot of new players tuned in here lately and I want to recommend to everyone to try this deck. I think it's really good and I am having a blast playing it. You just need to play it way more aggressive than a Jeskai Control list (even if it doesn't look as aggressive at CurdBros' list for example).
Sweet deck @SteveomatUWR! I have a couple general things I'm wondering about that I wanted to ask everyone. Obviously a individual's deck list will depend on their local meta, but I've made some changes since I initially posted my deck and right now I want to try out a couple Thing in the Ice mainboard. General thoughts on this? Has anyone else played Titi in a jeskai shell? The decision came after playing against Merfolk, and thinking about ways to combat decks like fish, humans, and elves that can just flood the board. I have board wipes SB and I know TiTi is an easy target for push, but like I said I'm just trying it out. Also you'll noticed I dropped the Young Pyro's mainly because going wide didn't seem to fit with a deck that's trying to flip delvers by hitting spells off the top deck. I'm also wondering about sideboards, because I change mine quite often depending on what decks I think I'll run into since I haven't been a part of a stable or particularly large meta since my LGS closed. I'm hoping to attend the SCG Open in Syracuse next month and I'd really like to play this deck but I'm nervous about not having Scalding Tarns for a fully reliable mana base, or just having a solid enough game plan for the deck. That being said, it will be my first Open so a win for me would be just winning one game of a match even of I lost every single match haha.

Welcome to the boards Hal9001! Glad to have you. My deck is very similar to the one you posted first. It may come as no surprise that I really like your list.
I have tried Thing in Ice in a jeskai build and to be honest it felt a little out of place. It was often a little awkward because we are a somewhat aggressive deck and TITI felt slow every time I played it. I like to play "must answer" threats and often it felt like the opponent simply disregarded the TITI and then just killed it if they had to. That's not to say it's a bad card, it just needs a slightly slower deck to work in my opinion.
Have you tried Monastery Swiftspear? I have found that my personal deck functions way better with an early threat. Others have tried Steppe Lynx as well. I would suggest trying a couple of swiftspears in the TITI slots.
I really like the spell queller's in the slots that would be taken up by a 3rd and 4th snapcaster mage. Obviously, I would prefer two more snapcasters, but sometimes that just isn't a possibility. I think spell queller does a great job fitting a very similar role. I wouldn't worry to much about the scalding tarns either. Flooded Strand, Arid Mesa, and Wooded Foothills should be just fine in most cases. Here is exactly what I would play:
As you can see I have very few changes I would make. I talked about swiftspear above. I also love Geist of Saint Traft right now given all of the UW control every where so I would like to see a copy or two, but they can be sideboard options as well. I removed the Logic Knot from the list because in game one I want to be very aggressive and have counter magic to slow them down early. Post board we can become a more midrange/control oriented list, but in order to win the most game one games I often want to be somewhat aggro-control in game 1.
Stevomat and I have really tweaked our lists to fit how we like to play so sometimes I forget that my deck is a little odd. These are all just suggestions to try. I don't believe in "right" or "wrong" choices or "good" or "bad" cards. Whatever you like to play and whichever cards you play well with, go with those. Thanks again for posting your list. I can't wait to hear how it goes.
Have you been able to get a play group together or found a new LGS? Modern demands a little bit of practice to keep up with the ever changing matchup. I say go for the SCG open. It will be great experience and you have nothing to lose. If you win a bunch you feel great, if you lose the first 4 matchups and drop that's fine because it is mainly go gain a little experience with tournament play and you gain that knowledge. Best case scenario you win a bunch and get some money!
Hi all. It's been awhile since I wrote a "tournament" report (FNM). Here is a write up from what I remember from each round. I didn't take notes about the games so I really only remember the main plays from the games but hopefully there is something you guys/gals can enjoy.
Round 1- Hollow One
Game 1- On the play
I find this matchup to be rather favorable personally. Our removal/bounce spells are very good against them. With that said, we do have to draw the removal and need flying threats (delver, spell queller, angel token, etc). They typically take damage from their lands or try to flood the board making our burn a bit more effective. I landed an early delver which flipped after two turns. I was able to Echoing Truth a couple of hollow ones and his bloodghasts couldn't block. Burn finished him off. The game really never felt out of reach from what I can remember.
Sideboard-
I typically side in my Surgical Extractions, Abrade, Secure the Wastess, Wear // Tear, Chandra, Pyromaster. Some of the cards aren't necessary unless you have cards you need to side out. I typically side out my remands on the draw and also a single copy of serum visions giving me 4 slots. I can also side out one swiftspear for a 5th open slot if I have more I want to side in. I have thought about deflecing palm before in this matchup, but it just seemed a bit cute. I don't think it would be bad, but I'm not sure it would be worth it.
Game 2- on the draw
This game was rather anti-climactic. The cliff notes version of the game is that my opponent kept a one land hand with burning inquiry and didn't draw a second land until the fourth turn. A geist did a majority of the damage which is strange because he normally isn't great in this matchup. I have even sided them out before and almost did. However, my opponent really just didn't do anything. His inquiry actually tore my hand up pretty well so if he had a second and third land he likely would have won. Without being able to cast many spells he just fell to far behind.
Round 2- UR Delver/Wizards
I was super excited to play against another delver deck. It's a very rare occurrence for me. I feel like the most important play of a delver mirror is the die role :). The play is super important to a delver deck when playing against another tempo deck. I basically had control of the first couple of turns. Turn 4 is basically where the game began to end. He played a vendillion clique on my upkeep and took my path. (I probably should have pathed the clique but it was his only threat but I was ahead on life and on board and didn't want to give him a mana lead so I wasn't to worried about it). What he didn't know is that I drew a opt of of the v. clique draw trigger. I attacked with a swiftspear thinking I wouldn't mind a trade or even a chump if opt drw something. He blocked thinking the worst case scenario was a removal spell. I played the opt into a bolt. He showed me that he had a spell snare for a snapcaster mage, but the literal line of opt into bolt was about the worst possibility for him. A later bedlam reveler gave me too much card advantage and I buried him. Obviously, the play was rather lucky but variance is what makes magic great.
Sideboard- I haven't sided much against this style of deck so I decided that with reveler's I probably had a better end game so I thought I would become the more midrange style player. I sided in my Dispel, Negate, Chandra, Pyromaster, Izzet Staticaster, and Disdainful Stroke. I sided out 3 remands, a helix and distortion strike.
Game 2- This was another awesome game that went back and forth. He was able to cast Nimble Obstructionist to get one of my fetch lands which was awesome to see, but was no fun. We had two different "counter wars" and we each won one. Disdainful stroke was awesome against cryptic command. He actually did a good chunk of damage with a snapcaster mage and nimble obstructionist which he protected. I didn't really draw any of my sideboard cards and he was able to out tempo me for the win.
Game 3- This game was a sideboard fest. He sided in two copies of young pyromancer from his sideboard which I was not aware of. However, my izzet staticaster for his v.cliques, snapcaster mages, and delvers was very good against the elemental tokens and young p. I was able to land Chandra, Pyromaster on turn 5 with dispel backup. He was able to bolt (wizard's lightning) Chandra to get her to 2, but didn't have the threats to keep her in check. In addition, his cliques and young pyromasters die to her +1 so he was kind of locked out from casting his threats until chandra was gone. He drew a lot of his counter magic and the chandra pings and additional cards from her 0 ability took over the game. He was able to land an obstructionist again and was able to protect it from my first removal spell, but it died to a path he couldn't answer. He was basically out of threats at that point. He was able to bolt me down to 5 life, but my own snapcaster mage in combination with Chandra helped me finish the game off.
Overall I think the UR delver deck is very good and is a great deck to play right now. I assume if I played this matchup 100 times I would win 50 of them. It's a very fun matchup to play. Bedlam Reveler seemed very good against them and that makes sense because spell efficiency and is super important in the matchup. Nimble Obstructionist seemed much better than I had first anticipated. It really did some work against me and also offers them another threat. He never played a Grim Lavamancer and I assume it would have also been very good against me had he resolved one. I did notice a lot of their deck does die to Izzet Staticaster. However, they have 8 copies of lightning bolt so I'm guessing they aren't to worried about that.
Rounds 3 (Esper Control Brew)- Loss and round 4 (Burn)- Win are to follow when I have more time. I'm always happy with a 3-1 finish. I hadn't seen a lot of burn lately even though there are several people that always bring burn. I attributed that to an uptick in control, but I think I just didn't get paired against burn.
Thanks CurdBros! I agree about TiTi, sometimes in some match ups it would play well but it does feel slow for the deck overall. What do y'all think about graveyard hate for SB? With vengevine gaining ground and hollow one and dredge, I'm not sure whether I should run Rest in Peace or Grafdigger's Cage. As for the Open, I may run my elf deck - talking to my friends they pointed out that besides the fact that I've played elves for longer and it's easier to pilot, it's a little more niche and little more degenerate than my jeskai build. I want to run both decks at FNM's over the next two weeks so we'll see, but when I do play jeskai I'll definitely report on the games!
While I want you to play jeskai, I tend to agree with your friends. If you have more reps with the Elves deck it may be a better choice for your first tournament. It also is somewhat dependent on the meta. If the meta is full UW control and/or Jeskai control it would be a tough week for elves. However, if it's a bunch of hollow one, burn, tron elves would be a great choice. I have found that in modern that deck mastery makes up a large portion of success in modern. Therefore, if you have more experience with elves it's probably the way to go regardless of meta. It pains me to say that, but it's the truth.
As for graveyard hate, I am somewhat of an outlier because I prefer a couple of copies of Surgical Extraction. It fits better into my game plan than a rest in peace, or grafdigger's cage mainly because I run Bedlam Reveler and have a rather low curve and only 19 lands. The good news is I don't think there is really a wrong answer. I know a ton of people on here run rest in peace and love it. Graffdigger's cage works well with revler because it doesn't hurt him, but it affects our snapcaster mages. However, if you are only running 2 snapcaster mages that is not a problem for you. To me, rest in peace is the best option for a more midrange style build and surgical extraction is better for the more aggressive lists. You could also run a combination of things like 1 cage, 2 rest in peace or 1 cage and 2 extraction.
at first, I would like to thank all of you, especially CurdBros and StevomatUWR for this thread. I have been a reader only so far on MTG Salvation and registered now only because of this thread.
I am playing a budgetish Version of Jeskai Delver and really love it. I am only playing FNM and "Casual" Modern Events,so I am not too sad not to own Snapcasters and I'm not looking forward to buy them due to budget restrictions, however buying 2 polluted deltas is planned.
I would be super interested to hear your opinion on the deck and if you could advise me any changes as I still feel like I am not too familiar with the deck and my choices.
I am thinking of dropping the revelers and to go for 2 Hazorets instead.

Hi Nils. I'm glad you found us. Welcome to the topic!
Your list looks sweet. I was trying to find something to change, but I really couldn't find anything. The reveler/hazoret topic is a tough one. There has been a split on here as to which is better. I would say give hazoret a try and see how it feels. Hazoret does reward spewing your hand out which is somewhat different than young pyromancer style deck. Restoration Angel is also a good option. I personally prefer bedlam reveler, and your deck is very similar to mine other than young pyromancer.
I'm currently out of town so I will write more this evening when I get back to my hotel room and get to take a longer look at the deck. At first glance it looks really awesome.
On another note, I am super excited to see how the new izzet mechanic works in our deck. It really sounds like it will fit our deck well and may work especially well with hazoret/reveler.
Thank you very much for taking the time and your Feedback. I have Just ordered 2 Polluted Deltas and a hallowed fountain to make the Mana Base more consistent. The next thing i will try is Elspeth, Knight errant. Plussing her to give the geist flying Sounds Like a good Idea.
I am super excited to See the spoilers as Well. Awesome that izzet and boros will be in the First Set. Fingers crossed for some nee additions to Our Deck!
willkommen in unserem gemütlichen Jeskai-Tempo-Faden
I also think your decks looks pretty good the way it is. Not a big fan of your cards in the Maybeboard though.
Personally I'd cut 1 Opt because I think that 3 SVs and 4 Opts are too much and just slowing down your game. Maybe run 1 Burst Lightning over it? The UR Wizards shows how good it is just to play Bolt after Bolt after Bolt...
With token makers like Young Pyros I'd run Jeskai Charm (or with him even Ojutai's Command) but I've never tried it and can't tell how well it works.
I wouldn't run CMC4 cards like Elspeth in a deck with 19 lands but I love her. Flying Geist lead me into the Top4 of a PPTQ during Eldrazi Winter
However, at the moment I am playing Resto as a 1-of and I really like her because of the instant speed playability. I am always changing my 1 CMC4 fun-of card though.
And of course I am also waiting for new spoilers. There must be a good card with Jump-Start for us...I am sure of it!
Well so far we haven't gotten anything of use from the spoilers. It's too bad that Ral Zarek is a 5 drop walker because his abilities are great for our deck. He is just to slow for us. It would be great if wizards ever gave us a playable UR planeswalker that actually deals with spells. However, with ral and saheeli now recently released it will likely be a long time before we see another UR walker. I think Ral will actually be very good in standard UR spells or Grixis spells decks, but for our deck he simply costs too much mana.
As for the jump start spells it looks like my first fears have been confirmed. They appear to be over costed cards that can be cast again similar to that of flashback. The common the draws a card isn't bad and will see standard and limited play, however, it is just to slow for our deck. The tap creature one that deals damage Sonic Assault would have been great if it were UR. The shock one Direct Current is hilariously over costed as a sorcery for 2 damage. It's downright unplayable in anything but limited (or maybe standard if they really give UR nothing). These are both commons so that is to be expected. With that said, I do think they will give us at least one modern playable jump-start card at some point so I am excited to wait and see. I have high hopes that there will be a least one playable jump start card and that the slipt UR card with hybrid mana and non-hybrid mana will also be awesome for us.
I’ve been lurking on here here for a couple months now and finally made an account to become a active contributor to the forum.
I may have more questions than comments since I have only been playing magic for 10 months but I will do my best to add to the discussion.
So My Jeskai journey started as a U/R prowess build that quickly became delver/Geist build once I found this forum.
I was able to watch a good Jeskai player this past weekend at my LGS running a similar list to ours (snap, clique, restoration angel)
Everything seemed normal until he dropped Kiki-jiki.
(Ima noob who didn’t know this combo existed, or about twin decks lol)
I know this is a tempo/delver/prowess thread but I was wanting some thoughts from those running resto angel who don’t run the Kiki combo. Why not?
This combo literally stole game 1 from the bant spirits player who I felt was winning.

When deciding which deck to play in modern specifically it really starts with one question and then goes onto another two questions in my opinion. The first to questions are- Do I want to win above all or do I want to have fun and hopefully win just as much. If you are on somewhat of a budget the second answer is likely where you will fall. To be honest, in modern its almost always better to master a deck rather than switch to the "best deck" all the time. The second set of questions are "what style of game do I like to play- (control, tempo, aggro, combo)and how can I make that competitive right now?
My personal answers are I want to have fun and win, I like playing aggro-control or tempo and I think the jeskai prowess list is a fun deck that is also very competitive right now. I typical player will likely be better off with the humans deck, however, I personally have a better chance of winning with jeskai prowess and have more fun playing the deck.
That leads me to the wide world of jeskai decks. The Jeskai Kikki-Jikki deck is a fine choice in modern. If you prefer a slightly more midrange/combo version of a deck it would likely suite you better and would give you the best chance to win and have fun. The jeskai family of decks (control, prowess, combo) often have players that are very passionate players who really love their personal deck. The decks have a ton of cards in common, but vary slightly on their curve or average mana cost, sideboards, and general game plan. Since you are new to the game it would likely really help you to try each different style and see which one you like. Also watching good players with a deck is a GREAT way to learn not only what you like, but how to play decks well. I say if you enjoyed watching the player win out of nowhere with the combo, give it a try and see if you like it. OR simply ask that other player what he/she likes about the deck and if they recommend it.
With all of that said, there are some players who like to change decks all the time and experience different strategies. This is also fine and offers them the most fun and competitive combination.
No matter which deck you chose let us know and we would all be happy to help you out if we can.
Well curdbros,
You make some valid points I guess I haven’t considered. Since I have never had a top 8 finish I would like to win.
Honestly I’d just like to be able to finish better than 2-2 51% of the time.
I play in a very causal/competitive shop. Most people have tier 1 decks but just enjoy trying different spicy card. Only 2 guys are Uber obsessed with winning. Everyone else is pretty chill and just plays for fun.
I feel since I have been playing such a short time, I have had the most fun playing a new deck every 10 weeks or so.(elves,burn,mill,storm,U/R prowess, boros dwarves, now Jeskai tempo)
This is my first 3 color deck I’ve played and it is by far my favorite. It is also the hardest deck To pilot, that I have played.
I really appreciate the deck of the week segments you post, and all of the match write-up on this forum. They have been a huge help to me.
I ordered 2 vexing devils to finish my playset,4 restoration angels and 2 Kikki-jikki mirror breakers.
Gonna add the combo to my deck and see how it plays this weekend.

The earthshakers are a bit odd in the list. Not sure if the list even needs them.
Other cards that synergy's well are savor the moment , brimaz, king of Oreskos or thalia, heretic Cathar these are a bit flavorful but as a one of they can help and fit in the aggro/tempo theme.
I also find it odd. But it is one way to close out the game, especially if you flood out. But if ever im gonna change the list, i might go back to Delver of Secrets build. And this would be the list i have in mind.
4 Delver
3 Lightning Angel

I just cant get away from lightning angel, a very good attacker and blocker, cannot be killed by lightning bolt. And the meta in my place right now, is very weak to flyers. I'm not much of a fan for spell queller, especially if you are on the draw, on the play i like the card. That's why i split it between spell queller and lightning angel.
Suggestions would be great on the new list.

Thanks!
I am trying to go for a Tempo/Beatdown strategy, thats why creatures with evasion(Kari Zev) works fine on the list.
Ppl understimate Vexing Devil because it is not a win condition, it is viable for a group of specific scenarios however 90% of the cards works like that.
Ill draw...

As for your list, I don't see much I would change in the main deck. I wish I could be more helpful, but It looks very solid. Keep us posted on how it goes.
yesterday I played a nice game against the UW Control(/Miracles) deck that is doing well in many tournaments lately.
In game 3 I drew all my SB counters (Dispel, Spell Snare and Disdainful Stroke) and... you'll see
The play where you cast lightning bolt to the face was awesome.

Don't know why that posted twice lol....

1x Arid Mesa
4x Flooded Strand
2x Hallowed Fountain
1x Inspiring Vantage
2x Island
1x Mountain
1x Plains
1x Sacred Foundry
2x Spirebluff Canal

Creatures (14)
2x Bedlam Reveler
4x Delver of Secrets
2x Snapcaster Mage

My list can be found here: https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/23-06-18-jeskai-geist/?cb=1535731765
I would be super interested to hear your opinion on the deck and if you could advise me any changes as I still feel like I am not too familiar with the deck and my choices.
I am thinking of dropping the revelers and to go for 2 Hazorets instead.
Kind Regards from Germany
Nils
Welcome to the forum topic! I'm glad you left the lurking area and joined us.
