Just for fun I've been trying to see what is possible to cram into a budget deck of each color ( Mono Color decks save a lot on mana)
to make it viable in Modern and this is what I've come up with:
I generally find Infect to be more of a hit & miss strategy and this is amplified on a budget when not playing the most optimized version.
Elves is the more consistent and harder to disrupt deck imho.
As long as you don't run into blue white control your set, with a 30 dollar mono green infect deck. I went undefeated at an fnm and then took second the next week. Other times I will lose one maybe two games. While I have had bad games, I have never had a bad night. As for a list.
4 glistener elf
4 giant growth
4 might of old Krosa
4 groundswell
4 scale up
4 blossoming defense
4 rancor
4 mutagenic growth
4 vines of Vastwood
6 of another infect guy, probably ichorclaw myr and necropede
2 Pendelhaven
16 forests
Thre you go, consistent turn three kills and even a few lucky turn two kills.
