looks good. modern is the format of opportunity, I think this deck could butthole a few people at local events. Hero of Bladehold is a game ender, even tho its not a soldier.

I think Hero of Bladehold fits better in a tokens shell, I've actually started working on a Soldier tokens build and would like some feedback on it:


I think about making the following changes:
-2x Crusader of Odric, +2x Veteran Swordsmith

-1x Militia's Pride, -1x Ballyrush Banneret,
+2x Raise the Alarm

-1x Intangible Virtue, -1x Consul's Lieutenant, -1x Court Street Denizen
+3x Preeminent Captain

Will it improve the deck ?

Court Street is cheap enough to warent giving it a test or two, I'll try it out in my 1-2 flex spots and let you know how it goes. It fills a similar role to brave the elements since it lets you attack past blockers for one turn. I've moved my four path to exiles into the sideboard and kept BTE in the main deck for game 1. With a few copies of Court Street I may put the paths back in and move brave to the sideboard.
I'll keep you posted.

If I had my druthers, I wouldn't run captain of the watch or preeminent captain. You just don't have enough stuff worth cheating out on turn 4 that you can't already just hardcast already. If you want a 4 drop or higher that is card advantage, then I would suggest ranger of eos.

I'd play 4 swordsmith 2 Captain of the watch. Captain takes forever to get the mana to cast, but is really good if you can cheat it in. Problem is that you can't always cheat it in.
Also no Field Marshal? Anthems + first strike is the best thing this deck has going for its self.

Isn't Field Marshall only $2 or something? Maybe I missed that.

I'm not sure what to get as a sideboard. I haven't been down to a game yet as I just blew the dust off my cards after awhile and ordered a couple things for other casual decks. Any ideas would be great.

I played a lot with this deck, against any color or deck type and after 4 months of playing it every day I realized that this is the best result.
