There's always the old Standard standby of Putrid Leech. A Modern manabase might put your life total under too much duress for this guy though.
Fleecemane Lion could be another option. Its similar to Sylvan Advocate in that its a fairly efficient body that could become a significant threat late.
Sylvan Adovcate is a very cool card though, I've been thinking of brewing some kind of deck with it.

Do you like Green midrange decks? Check out my My Magic Blog!
Fixing draws with Oath of Nissa is great here in diggin' for Creatures or Elspeth, or even just setting up my Lands.
I opt to not go for Wilt-Leaf Liege to buff my Dudes, because it left me with a lot of necessary Voices (expensive) and doesn't buff Brimaz, Courser and Ooze very well. Instead i'm tweaking my list with some Hatebears, removal & disruption + a bunch of 4cmc Beaters.
The number of Bears will change accordingly with the expected Meta, but i always keep an eye on useful mana outlets to get the most out of birds or a flooded board. Lion, Pridemage, Ooze, Wildwood, Vents, Township, Oath is hopefully enough reach.
The 3-Drop Slot is somehow things i expect to work.
Brimaz is great here as he wins games on his own, Courser as lifegain, CA-Engine and Staller at it's best.
Rhino and Elspeth stabilize and should seal teh deal.
Here's my list. As you can probably tell, my meta is extremely creature heavy and I play a fair amount of affinity. I am going to be moving soon so I'd like to make this deck a little more well rounded. I was thinking about swapping out the manlands for 2 westvale abbey but I'm not to sure if it will be fast enough. I'm thinking that turn 6 is probably as fast as I can hope to get it active.
Ciao! I tested today against my friend this deck. I Call it Junk Delver, felt pretty good and trying test it more in next days. I'm trying to max. the knights power and also go fast by delve. SD is still open. Have thought to add one piece of Kalitas, mayby also one Noxious revival more. What do you guys think about this?
I've built a budget Little Kid Luck and am looking for some advice with it, specifically if I should replace 2 Strangleroot Geist for 2 more Qasali Pridemage
I'm still working on the board, I've another deck that I've been bringing to FNM so I'm not sure on how to build the sideboard for it, all I know is that two zealous persecution and two duress/thougtseize are going to be in it.
I had an inspiration during my last travel via train.
There is a prequel to this, so don't kick me for being retrospective.
I used to sell my BW Tokens Deck on ebay.
Sadly it didn't sold very well. I told my brother to bid on it and he got it.
So what to do with a deck you like but isn't necessarily good?
A week ago i've tested wasteland strangler and it really impressed me.
It's an eldrazi and it's really good.
So i thought furhter.
I got a playset Voice of resurgence and tidehollow sculler.
So rather than giving me headaches about how to sell my self i take the citrons and brewed a limonade.
I'm not sure where I would go from here but I think this is where I'd start on a budget. Obviously not nearly as competitive as a non-budget list but some of the swaps are obvious should you want to upgrade. I think the idea of Wasteland Strangler with Path, Scuttler, and Unmaking, you have a lot of chances of getting something into exile. Actually Scuttler -> Strangler -> Rhino -> Tasigur seems like an awesome curve. In the mean time you also have a lot of removal options.
The following link is an invitation to join Pucatrade (card trading service though similar to TCGPLayer). If you follow the link then it awards me with tokens to exchange for actual cards. Thanks! https://pucatrade.com/invite/gift/86097
What's the actual 100 euros version of this deck? Because Kitchen finks cost 8~10, Inquisition of kozilek 7~10...etc.
I want to build a midrange deck and I think this is a great option, but cannot afford all this cards at the beginning.
I'm working on a pure GB version that cuts down on all the cost of expensive lands. I think i've spent about 150 USD on it so far. I eventually will splash white for Rhino and PTE. But that'll set me back a bit
The dream! I will eventually have enough money to splash white and go full abzan. But that will be after I have gofys, Liliana and confidants So it might be awhile. Haha.

Modern:
Death's Shadow - Living End - Eldrazi Tron
I'm looking for some advice on my budget junk deck. I've modeled it after the Death's shadow Delirium decks and while it's a bit less explosive I think I am slightly less vulnerable to aggro. Eventually the Blooms/Bloods will be Marsh Flats and Verdant Cats. And of course Grim Flayer could be Tarmogoyf but I don't ever see myself going that route. I love that he has trample, which helps me get that Scavenge damage through in a stalemate board. I would eventually love to include LOTV in the list but I'm not sure what to cut, once I can afford her.
And I have no idea where to start for the sideboard. Any suggestions?
#I don't have Lily, Goyf, G.Flayer and Bob, I use Smuggler's Copter for filtering (as a sort of budget G.Flayer).
#I've also decided to use Deathcap Cultivator over Birds of Paradise as my mana dork since it is mainly used to cast Siege Rhino quicker and I don't have many 3-drops that I need to accelerate into so the 2/1 body (with "Deathtouch" later in the game) seems more relevant.
Hello, I have been playing Junk for a while now and building it irl. I have been struggling to weather or not i should play siege rhino or like some lists i notice, voice of resurgence.
here is my list for reference, help is much appreciated.
Now, the first thing that you might notice is the lack of Tarmogoyf, i do understand the power of the card but currently i only own one and cannot drop $300 on three cards.
any help besides the obvious on how to improve/change my list is much appreciated.
Hey guys, New to the forum been playing magic for a few years now, Very new to Abzan just playing more for fun as another option other than Grixis or Azorius. Siege rhino is the real reason i built the deck it's just such a cute card so i built the deck from just what i had and only tried to spend minimal amount of cash. I suppose the only real thing i can think of that would really benefit the deck but by only spending just a little bit of money would be Abrupt Decay/Maelstrom Pulse. Maybe in the future I'll get more ScOoze, LotV, Goyf, and just cut the creature count down.
Hello,I've been playing budget Magic for a while now. My newest version has done very well, and can beat top tier decks. Like previously stated, tarmogoyf cannot be replaced, and neither can lili. But, other cards can do a similar job and even even surpass the other at times.

-3 Stony silence
-1 Damnation (Or wrath of god)
-1 Flaying tendrils
#I'd suggest replacing Architects of Will with Nihil Spellbomb, both cycle and put an artifact in the GY for delirium but N.Spellbomb actually does something and having more maindeck GY-hate is always good.

#Wrench Mind also seems rather weak here.
Smuggler's Copter can be pretty good in this deck as another threat and a looter (combines nicely with Grim Flayer) which is good with Lingering Souls.
