I have Legacy Elves except that I'm using Collected Companies there until I get Glimpse of Natures. Once I have those, my CoCos are free and I was thinking it would be cool to build a decent modern deck with them. But I don't want elves in two formats. My first guess was something with Reflector Mage, Tireless Tracker, and Jadelight Ranger, and probably a bunch of other 3 CMC creatures with ETB effects, and BoP and/or Noble Hierarch (which I don't have). I couldn't find a deck in the Established Decks section. Is it considered viable?
I've had great success with bant spirits locally. It's got a bunch of lines available to it. Caleb durwald (spelling?) has posted respectable finishes with the deck.
Allies is an okayish dump your hand and smush tribe. Not super competitive. If they can sweep an LGS every now and then. Vial is typically a go to for this strat.
There is the vizier of remedies combo with devoted Druid deck. It is an elf, but different playstyle from legacy in that it plays much more comboy imho. Also lots of other creature types.
Todd Stevens does well in the SCG circuit with a GW value deck. It looks and plays powerful on camera, but I have no reps with it.
There is another bant list that runs retreat to coralhelm and knight of the reliquary. It's got a similar play pattern to spirits but less flash and more combo as a second game plan.
There are others but coco is powerful and you can play it for value or combo. Card is great!
None of the CoCo decks is great now it seems. CoCo elves or GWx are both decent but have little interaction and struggle against the decks like storm and humans.
Besides Elves there is GWb focused on the devoted druid combo, i'm not a fan of this list, the devoted druid or finks + vizier combo's are too vulnerable I feel, both basically require 3 pieces (druid + vizier + mana outlet or vizier + finks + sac outlet).
Then there is also just GW value with knight of the reliquary and so on. This deck stinks I think, you have no speed and no interaction which is an awful combination in modern. Without those you need to be really sturdy to at least dominate the matchups against other midrange decks or be able to win combo matchups based on the sideboard but that's not even the case I think.
There are also versions with blue, either for knightfall combo or just blue creatures like reflecting mage and spell queller. Not a huge fan of those either, those creatures are much more conditional so you have to guess when to use CoCo.
Gb Elves is just the most solid Coco deck I think, it's fast and fairly resilient.
Budget-wise it's very good in mono-green. Now that they released Steel leaf Champion, there are more great targets to hit with it and landing anywhere from 8-10 more power on turn 4 can be attractive. Most modern decks don't really carry any type of high damage board sweep, so landing not one, but two creatures with toughness greater than 3 is good.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
I thought I already posted here, but I would say Abzan Counters, or Devoted Druid/Vizier and Vizier/Finks/Viscera Seer combos. With little interaction, this deck is one of the strongest. If you need more interaction in the form of Spell Queller, then Knightfall can be strong. I think the most important thing is to have a shell of these decks and switch sometimes to keep your opponents at the LGS guessing. If you're playing at large events, just play which one you think will be better that day and cross your fingers!

Devoted Druid/Vizier of Remedies company is still good or the old Abzan Company lists could still probably eke out a win or two.
There is Knightfall with CoCo's if you want some of that route.
