Cycle through your deck for free until you hit Resounding Thunders and deal 24 uncounterable damage to the opponent
Of course 6 mana is a lot and you need to have not burned off too much of your hand already so you have at least 7 cards
What happens when you cycle into a land and it breaks the chain?
Don't get me wrong, I like the idea but I'm not seeing how you chain through your deck unless every single card has cycling already. New Perspectives doesn't give every card cycling. Help me out here.

The new cycle lands can make it a lot easier. Then if you run Life From the Loam for two mana you can get back three lands to cycle again. It's not going to be a good deck by any means, but if you are looking for some tier 4 jank then it's solid.
Throne of the God-Pharaoh is a cool card, I think it's home is in B/G elves, imagine chording into Shaman of the Pack hitting an opponent for 4-7, then hitting them again for the same amount with the throne.
Ultimately, it would be a nice side board card for match ups like Lantern or R/W prison.

No one spoke. There was no need. The threat of the Eldrazi presented a simple choice: lay down your arms and die for nothing, or hold them fast and die for something.

Youll definitely need a critical number of cyclers to
make this work.
What that number is, I don't know
You also may want some mana acceleration (lotus bloom, coalition relic, pentad prism) or cards to find new perspectives (idyllic tutor)
The manabase should be fetches and cycling lands. Probably some basics in the mix too
You certainly need blue. White for Idyllic tutor. Maybe red so you can hardcast resounding thunder. Sadly there are no enemy cycle duals yet- this idea may need to wait until they are printed
Decks I have in my bag of tricks- Needless to say, someone who wants to play will probably have a deck UB/x Faeries UR Storm XURWB Affinity G Elves UW control
Gideon will see play. Even if its niche. Hes just too strong not to at 3 mana somewhere. The BiCyle lands will too. Again. Maybe only a 1 of 2 of somewhere, but thats play. Not even saying thats for loam, but dredge might do a 1 of, slower decks, ect.
The rest, nothing really stand out for me power. As foretold ovbiously, but it is either awesome or god aweful. Im not blue combo or control, so I cant make that call.
For a grave set there has been nothing for dredge, and sad about near hits but missed goyfs and nacatls
Liliana, Death's Majesty looks pretty good in sideboards (BGx, etc.) and in higher-curve Goryo's Vengeance combo decks. She pumps out a 2/2 Zombie every turn or reanimates a bigger guy as a Zombie, and she can even board wipe all non-Zombies to boot!
So I'm excited for what Curator of Mysteries and Archfiend of Ifnir mean for Living End. Either they're part of 2 cycles of rares with a single colored mana or two colorless mana cycling, respectively, or they're part of a single cycle with variable costs (just rare cycling creatures). Either way, this is a good thing for Living End. Some lists play some number of Jungle Weaver as a few final cyclers even though it costs 2, and Archfiend is just a straight upgrade to that slot. He has the same power, flying > reach, and his ability is super relevant in any game where you might have had to cascade early for a minor board (happens often vs burn). He lets you turn sideways with less fear of haste attackers since he turns all of your leftover cycling creatures in hand into mass removal.
If Curator portends a single mana cycling cycle of rare creatures, then I can't wait to see the green, black, and red ones. He's far stronger than the other single mana cyclers in the deck. As big as the biggest (Carabid), has evasion instead of drawbacks or mildly to decently useful abilities, and hard casts faster than anything else in the deck. If the rest of the cycle is like him, LE could be getting some really big upgrades. If he and Archfiend are part of the same cycle, then I really hope the red or green ones are single mana rather than two generic. Even if they're not, though, he alone makes exploring other colors an interesting proposition.
Also, Drake Haven. This is easily the best backup plan that's ever been shown for LE if they drop a Rest in Peace you can't remove. However, just to keep the mana tight, it would be nice if red/black/green got similar things. Even if they don't, though, a 4 color manabase, though dirty, might be possible and Ardent Plea over Demonic Dread would mean none of the cascade spells need a target anymore.
I'm excited to test some tweaks thanks to these cards.
Darn, I thought the most exciting change to Living End with this set is the ability to use split cards without Cascading into them. IMO, Dead // Gone and its instant-speed creature Shock is the best new option (if you want to hit players that badly, there's always Assault // Battery).
Vizier of the Menagerie looks downright dangerous--if only I could figure out how to abuse its ability to let you chain creatures off the top of your library. He does a poor man's Glimpse of Nature impression with free creatures (although good luck casting anything like Burning-Tree Emissary the turn you resolve this 4-cmc guy).
VotM looks like EDH fodder. It has like zero impact on the game before turn 5. Even if you cheat it in earlier than its natural play it doesn't do enough to warrant worry.
So, I guess the question is, was Censor wotc big attempt to help blue? Good name...and that's about it. An over costed force spike with cycle...really wizards? Still might be something coming though. They wouldn't print a good counterspell at uncommon anyway...

Soul-Scar Mage has a chance to fit into Skred decks, which currently don't play a one-drop creature (because no red one-drop really fits the Skred plan). The lack of haste doesn't matter as much as it's ability to survive Pyroclasm or Volcanic Fallout, and the replacement effect has some uses (making late-game Skreds into pain-free Dismembers).
Of course it isn't clear what Skred would cut to make room for it.

What a terrible, terrible card. I don't know why WOTC even bothers...seriously. Why do they keep giving blue the shaft for Modern, yet cards like Thoughtseize, IoK, and Abrupt Decay are fine...WTF. I guess it's okay to rip cards out of your hand before they're cast, as long as you don't counter them! Abrupt Decay is fine, but "Counter target spell with CMC of 3 or less" for UU...that's too OP!!! /s
I might be talking out of my ass, but what about a Bant Flash deck? Resto Angel, spell queller, vendillion clique, snapcaster? Some spells for control purposes?
I don't think Censor is that bad. It's largely a hard counter on T2 and T3, wih hard counter potential on T4 and even later. More importantly, cycling U is awesome. It means the card is never quite dead and lets you cycle it out as early as T1 if it's totally matchup inappropriate. I expect many blue controlling decks will play 2+ copies.
Censor's one mana cycle saves it's chances to possibly see any play at all. It helps fuel Logic Knots, whose stock will go up if Censor sees play in control. I think it's close to good enough, but a 2 cmc force spike just might not be enough for a one mana cycle to save it.
The one mana cycle is something it has going for it over Miscalculation. From my experience with UW control, the mana is very tight in the early game so that might be more important than the reduced taxing effect.
I find it annoying that a Simian Spirit Guide in hand just covers the card, but I guess that concern is fairly narrow.

I'm not sure what to make of Censor. Being a split soft counter/cycler means that you will never be out of options: if your opponent plays something that you can counter, counter it, otherwise, you can cash it in for a card if you don't want to hold on to it any longer.
Its cycling cost being 1 mana instead of Miscalculation's 2 seems overlooked. You can hold up 1 mana for removal on turn 1, or Spell Snare on turn 2, and cover the "opponent doesn't play anything" option with Censor. And of course, if you have 2 mana open, you gain the third option of simply casting Censor.
I think Censor is best treated as an instant-speed cantrip that happens to be a soft counter, instead the other way around. By that I mean you'll cycle it more than you cast it. It might replace Serum Visions in some blue control decks, Thought Scour in Grixis is still necessary for Tasigur though.
people are just upset that it isn't as good as miscalculation
Oh well.
On second thought, I think Condescend is just better. Condescend counters everything Censor does for the same cost but can also scale up based on mana, in addition to scrying 2 afterwards. Rather than cycling for U it can scry 2 for U which isn't the same but pretty close.

I agree. I think it's playable. It's not great, but I would be willing to play it alongside Cryptic Command. Around the time it's starting to go dead, you have another good counter coming online. I'll be picking up a playset.
