While searching through random cards piles, I come across random cards that seem like they could be good in Modern. If you have any to share, please explain why, and list them below. Here are two I like:
Angel of Jubilation is admittedly a little hard to cast and late to the game to do much, but its ability does something interesting: it stops fetchlands. At turn four this is a little less impactful but it does protect itself against the Fetch plus Fatal Push combo. It also buffs your team, and randomly turns off Fulminator Mage, Street Wraith, phyrexian mana, and it turns off Ravager. Is it playable?
Next card that's I like also hates fetchlands. I bought an original Mirrodin booster recently for the heck of it, and opened a card called Psychogenic Probe. It is completely hilarious. It basically has fetch users taking damage. Do you wanna fetch? Take 2. Wanna get a land off PtE? Take 2. You get the idea. Is that playable?
A 4 drop that dies to 1 mana bolt is bad. Play the liege that is free when it is discarded instead.
Damage is negitable in many natchups with the probe. Imagine dealing 4 damage toå tron while they play karn. Oh my. The only deck that wants damage is playing a fetch manabase for boros charm and atarkas command.

I have dyslexia, no I am not going to spell check for you, yes you have to live with the horrors of it.
there's something to be said about the gotcha cards, their fun and can steal a game but generally you're better off staying with the more known cards. But both of these cards are fun in EDH.
The card pool is just too huge, but I do enjoy looking. One with Nothing to me is s card that just screams broken combo, I just can't figure it out. If Top were in the format I could see it doing savage things with Delve and Miracles

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
The best thing to do with one with nothing is to force someone else to cast it with hive mind. Of course, there are also better things to force them to cast, too..
Can't ever seem to make it work even with cards out there that synergize with it.

Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Modern has a huge cardpool so there are many cards that could very well be good but have never been tested in the right deck.
Just take a look at Amulet Bloom - lots of janky cards that people dismissed until someone broke it
As I've said elsewhere, the Bloom example is a very rare instance of janky cards coming together to be broken. Most decks are actually as bad as they seem on paper. In Modern, you should either play a legitimately good deck (e.g. Bant Eldrazi, Affinity, DS decks, etc.) or a less good deck that you personally know really well.
Trash for Treasure is a personal favorite. I love the idea of T1 Looting into T2 SSG/TfT, but the payoff cards just aren't great. You end up playing a worse Griselbrand.
Smallpox is on the cusp of being broken. The issue is there isn't enough ways to easily recurse it while gaining an advantage, without hurting yourself worse than your opponent. If there was another smallpox effect in modern (other than Death Cloud and Undercity Plague which each have their own logistical issues) it might be enough.

Come watch me stream over at my twitch channel. I play Loam Pox, Ad Nauseam, and jank in modern on MTGO.
Quicksilver Amulet never showing up was always odd to me. It's a consistent t5 Emrakul/Griselbrand/Blightsteel Colossus and if you run mana dorks/Simian Spirit Guide a pretty easy t4 one. Through the Breach giving haste is probably just better, but it never shows up at all which is odd to me.
I've always had a soft spot for Lightning Angel. She doesn't die to bolt or decay, has evasion, and blocks all the common fliers profitably (Delver, Spirit tokens, etc). Sadly, she's just a little too low impact.
I still think Shape Anew and to an extent madcap Experiment is a great engine that needs something. I think Madcap is played in Ponza right now though.
There are a bunch of good creatures that fail the bolt test, so could be good in a non-bolt meta if that ever exists
The Bant company All-Stars Jace, Vryn's Prodigy - Filter, recursion - does see some play in Grixis Nissa, Vastwood Seer - has a decent ETB and a powerhouse when flipped Den Protector - Can be an eternal witness with upside Tireless Tracker - Card advantage machine that grows Duskwatch Recruiter - Card draw in creature heavy decks (that usually lack card draw) Deathmist Raptor - Constant threat but requires other morph cards Reflector Mage - Is the ability strong enough in Modern?
And a shout-out to Blood Baron of Vizkopa who dodges all popular removal in Modern (bolt, decay, terminate, push, path, dismember) yet sees no play. Maybe his day is coming.
Angel of Jubilation only stops the sacrifice of creatures to pay for abilities it does nothing to stop fetchlands.
Read the second part of Angel of Jubilation. It says you can't pay life to activate abilities. So you wouldn't be able to pay the life necessary to activate your fetchland.

Any pet cards that could be playable?

Yep, I have definitely lost sleep trying to break Stuffy Doll, the card SHOULD be.at the core of a major deck

I also feel like Primal Command is very underplayed.
I've actually brewed a list around in "deck creation" to see if it can actually be improved to be a playable deck.

cream of the crop actually seems pretty cool... Reminds me a bit of descendants' path. Maybe with cryptolith rite and duskwatch recruiter...
Anyway, in addition to the cards I just mentioned, I've also always had a thing for Séance, I'm convinced it isn't actually that bad.
Another is spirit of the labyrinth with geier reach sanitarium...
Also greater good with phytotitan is a ridiculously hilarious interaction.

Unfortunetly the deck isn't great in the current meta.

The Bant company All-Stars
Jace, Vryn's Prodigy - Filter, recursion - does see some play in Grixis
Nissa, Vastwood Seer - has a decent ETB and a powerhouse when flipped
Den Protector - Can be an eternal witness with upside
Tireless Tracker - Card advantage machine that grows
Duskwatch Recruiter - Card draw in creature heavy decks (that usually lack card draw)
Deathmist Raptor - Constant threat but requires other morph cards
Reflector Mage - Is the ability strong enough in Modern?
Others:
Liliana, Heretical Healer - Tons of synergy and combo potential
Vampire Nighthawk - Removal on a stick that gains life
Mantis Rider - Arguably does pass the bolt test due to Haste and Flying
And a shout-out to Blood Baron of Vizkopa who dodges all popular removal in Modern (bolt, decay, terminate, push, path, dismember) yet sees no play. Maybe his day is coming.
