It is true that the length of time between updates has increased and I've mentioned this to the new MN team. I encourage you and others to Tweet them or comment on their articles (or reach out on Reddit or whatever other online venue you prefer) to communicate your concerns.
If nothing else, it's exciting to see other Modern players and sites thinking more about data-driven approaches than they used to. It might not be MN but it's the MN philosophy!
Guys please opinions on japanese cards. Lost a 3/3 creature against Japan celestial colonade. This guy played all creatures and spells in english cards, but some cards in his manabase was japanese. I dont registrated this really ( my brain say its all fine and all english to me lets attack his empty board)...and i am sure it is a Kind of legal cheating. It is not ok, but i know legal. I Hate such people. I never forget colonade normally, but with this Tricks it can happen one time in 3 years and such people take advantage of this
If I am a customer spending premium amount of dollars, I expect a premium service. Jund falls into the category of a premium deck costing more dollars than a majority of the rest of the format. I'm not getting the desired performance ratio per dollars spent out of the Jund deck because WOTC decided to make the format more diverse.
I believe they updated the spreadsheet but maybe didn't post the new link. Like I said, reach out to them on Twitter or other online channels and let them know. I also talk with them but it's important to get community member input too.
Someone should rank the decks in order from best to worst

We lack the data to know the match win%. I tried it in the past, but since you can't replay matches on MTGO anymore you don't know what the losing decks played in a tournament, only the winning ones, so you miss a lot of information. Since they now only report League decks, things became even more complicated. The only way is now to track everything in paper tournaments. It is crazy work, but possible. However, that link is from a PT, where -I think- there is more data available than from regular tournaments. So, since there is no Modern PT anymore, also this option is not really good.
Ya you're completely right, I'm just saying t was cool. Perhaps there is a way we can calculate win rates of decks vs specific decks, then use the meta game share data in combination with that win percentage to calculate it?

Interested in how you Weight gp's/opens vs mtgo leagues
Care to elaborate on this?
Sure! Goldfish puts all the results in the same breakdown, and has Top 32 for each major tournament. So while each singular result counts the same amount, the amount of results that come from paper tournaments like GPs and Opens isn't actually that far behind the amount of 5-0 competitive leagues counted.
I've finally unveiled the Comprehensive Modern tiered list I've been working on for the past 4 months, you can find it here.Check it out, and let me know what you think!
Suggestion: weekly ladder and global ladder. To calculate the global ladder: each week every tier1 deck gets a tier1-point, every tier2 deck gets a tier2-point, every tier3 deck gets a tier3-point. The global tier1 decks are the top 7 decks with the most tier1 points, the global tier2 decks are, among the others, the top 13 decks with the most tier1+tier2 points, the global tier3 decks are, among the others, the top 11 decks with the most tier1+tier2+tier3 points.
Hey guys, my first Modern Metagame Analysis article went up today. You can find it here. Check it out, and let me know what you think!
I enjoyed the article, thanks for posting. My meta is a bit off, as the grinders have seemed to mostly keep on what they were on even pre-bannings, with a few players having a bit more success than they were before the bannings, mostly due to the format slowing down (and being able to punish people for trying new things)
I kind of avoided the death's shadow craze, as only one player built it. was it just people figured out how to beat the deck?
I guess part of the logic behind my post is I've really only played a Face to Face Open and mostly local events since the banning, so maybe my perceptions are skewed a bit, due to only playing in the same area
Big problem is, that you cannot log in with third party accounts (facebook, reddit, twitter,...) anymore, which sucks to be able to establish any non outside communication with the authors/team.

You can always try the Facebook page or the Twitter account to hit them up through those channels.
the card itself really isn't worth the card board its printed on...does it serve a purpose? Sure its a blue 1 drop that might not be a 1/1. I would not put it in a list and expect to win a PTQ or GP though.
Hey all, the latest update is here! Notable updates include Ad Nauseam, Burn, and Merfolk trending up, and Abzan, Eldrazi Tron, and Jund trending down. Check it out and let us know what you think.
I kind of appreciate this new take on the ranking of decks. Sometimes, Nexus is late and I appreciate the different data analysis and how resulsts are weighted.

I like the regularity, but dislike the small N. As I understand it, the numbers are just MTG Goldfish stats, which means a very small N and almost exclusively public MTGO League data and SCG events. N gets bigger when you have events like TCG States, but it misses all the Japanese, Italian, Dutch, Brazilian, non-SCG American, etc. events.
