So we now have another spoiled card: Inventor's Fair! I can see several decks possibly playing this, like U-Tron or anything running Thopter/Sword. Affinity players, how do you feel?

U-tron I can see wanting this for sure, and if thopter/sword will ever be a thing, this will help. I could see a new breed of deck popping up not unlike an artifact Pod deck depending on what we get. the card is good. but I don't think Affinity wants it. if the deck hits 4 mana+this, there are problems and this won't be likely to save it

Wouldn't Lantern Control love Inventor's Fair? It helps to stall and it tutors for whatever trinket or bridge you may need.
This is the 2nd thought that popped into my head. First was affinity of course, but affinity may have trouble getting to 5 mana sources. Lantern control on the other hand seems to get a significant boost from this card. Life gain + the ability to go get bridges. May have the same issue about getting to enough mana sources though.

Affinity doesn't want this card. Definitely a winmore for them.

Yes, but in those match-ups you want to go wide, you usually have your mana bound by manalands. Furthermore, as you already mentioned it, Sea Gate Wreckage is already played in that slot (which is still "meh), but the difference between those two is huge, since Wreckage gets "active" way sooner.
The only reason why you would want to play it is, that you want that life gain, but I doubt this is enough for it tbh.

either funpolice (Delver, Deathcloud, UW Control) or the fun decks (especially those ft. Griselbrand)

There are definitly matchups where you try to go wide instead of exploding super fast.
So maybe in those kind of games this will be good.
It also helps to race your opponent, for example if you play against burn.
Currently many people have a slot for sea gate wreckage, maybe this will be better.
But the most obvious deck to play this is lantern control, and maybe some thopter combo deck, but i doubt such a deck is playable.
The issue is that it's only one life. When you gain life in modern you want to gain more than 1 life. If Inventor's fair is played, it's because of the search option and not the gain life option.

Eggs base
If you play Inventors' Fair in this deck, you probably want one Wurmcoil Engine as a tutor target. You could cut the other tutors (Fabricate/Tezzeret) and Blinkmoths for it.
I don't know if it'll make Eggs great again (it still has a hard time beating Stony Silence and Rest in Peace), but it does enable quite a few infinite combos. Two examples are shown below. Note that in both examples Fair is used to tutor a 1-of in the deck, which is a good thing, since you can play the 1-of and still get it reliably without having to sac eggs to draw through a bunch of cards hoping to hit it. These combos also currently work with Fabricate instead of Fair, but Fair is better since it's a land and helps you slightly in surviving to the point where you can combo off.
1) Sac 2 artifacts to KCI for 4 mana.
2) Sac Fair (you have 3 artifacts: KCI, Foundry and the last one), get Sword of the Meek.
3) Sac last artifact for 2 mana, cast Sword.
4) Use floating mana and sac Sword to Foundry, get a Thopter and 1 life.
5) Sac Thopter for 2 mana. Repeat step 4 twice. Your board has not changed with the exception of 1 new Thopter and 2 more life. Repeat for infinite Thopters/life.
KCI
4 artifacts (1 Chromatic Star/Sphere), 5 if you want it to be a sure thing
Inventors' Fair
Faith's Reward in hand W floating
1) Sac 2 artifacts to KCI for 4 mana.
2) Sac Fair, get Codex Shredder.
3) Sac 2 artifacts for 4 mana, cast Codex Shredder (1W floating).
4) Sac Shredder then KCI for 4 mana, cast Faith's Reward.
4x) You now have KCI, 4 artifacts, Shredder, Fair in play and 2 floating. Faith's Reward is in the graveyard.
5) Sac the three initial non-Star/Sphere artifacts for 6 mana (8 floating). Activate Codex Shredder's second ability, put Faith's Reward in your hand (3 floating).
6) Sac KCI to itself (5 floating). Sac Star/Sphere to itself, generating W (4W floating).
7) Cast Faith's Reward. You're now at step 4x, but with 1 floating. Repeat step 5; you have two more cycles (1 floating mana, plus 1 from Fair) to find a 0-2 cost artifact with ETB/LTB triggers from your eggs. Once you find it, cast it, then sac it to KCI. Now you'll generate mana every cycle. Repeat for as much mana as you need (the Star/Sphere will draw into your wincons).
Looks really good. I can definitely see it seeing play in eternal formats if someone can find a way utilize the ultimate OR a powerful repeatable interaction with the -2. Someone immediately on reddit said Turn 3 Saheeli Turn 4 Avalanche Riders blow up 2 lands. For literally a first second though that seems good and worth exploring.

I am not in love with her but Walkers are always so hard to evaluate. I don't like that she can't protect herself and her +1 is just ok. If she sees play it will be on the back of the - ability combos like the one you mentioned.
Her minus looks similar to Lil's but functions very differently.
What's the best thing you can do with Saheeli? T4 Master of Waves into a copy of Master of Waves is 5 tokens minimum and a 2/1 haste that goes away at EOT. Whirler Rogue is similar. You can't have a deck full of 4 mana creatures though, so what other good creatures/artifacts are there to go with her -2, preferably at 2 mana?
edit: Goblin Test Pilot's creature type needs to be changed to Goblin Wizard Pilot.
Gonti looks really sweet and worth testing. Fails the bolt test yes, but it does provide value on ETB. In decks that might want to side it in against non-bolt decks it could potentially be pretty strong.

Doesn't necessarily fail the Bolt Test because it has an effect even if Bolted. Lots of 2-for-1 potential in various matchups, but I haven't done a Gatherer search to see if a similar effect exists that isn't currently played.

Yeah, you definitely still get value up front which does mitigate the bolt test. We've been talking about it as faeries players and it seems sweet out of the sideboard. The coolest part is that they don't get to see what you've exiled and can't play around it. Super cool effect. If the 2/3 body survives you're hanging with a deathtouch creature too which seems decent.

Saheeli could be quite good in the kiki chord lists. Not playing it turn 3, but that deck has so many creatures it could be very good to copy. All the requierments is that you must have a board state that is not based in mana dorks.
The earlier versions of the deck also played a very good defensive deck, so she would be very good in there.

I have dyslexia, no I am not going to spell check for you, yes you have to live with the horrors of it.
It's probably not good enough, but Skysovereign has me intrigued in a way few cards really ever do. A colorless Inferno Titan for one less that as I understand, trades the ability to block for dodging sorcery removal. I want to find it a home
