Just hypothetically, if lands could tap for any colour of mana (with no restrictions or additional cards needed), what would a modern decklist look like? Would people simply play the same decks and just have it run more smoothly? Or could there be some new brew that plays all the best modern cards in a single deck?

In other words, what cards would you run together in a deck if mana fixing was not an issue?

5 coloe goodstuff. Why yes, I will have Bob and Goyf and Snappy and path and bolt. And hey, all the colorless lands too, Mutavault, tec edge. If color was no object, youd see greedy stuff like that

I think it would roughly look like no fun haha. The magic of Magic (haha) comes from the restrictions and rules imposed on the game, that's what allows us to tinker away. If we had no restriction on colored resources I'd go with what Zx_xZ said and slam every staple right in. Bob, Bolt, Path, Goyf, Snap, Helix.... The more money I could throw at the deck the better it would be! I also think it's funny that Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth would become a $0.01 card.

The 5-colour Modern decks I've seen so far include Infect (Japanese fast variants), Affinity, Twin Pod, Domain Zoo, and Amulet Titan.

Slivers would be bigger. I could see a deck running Thoughtseize, Bolt, Path, Delver, and Wild Nacatl as its one drops. Then plenty of counters, Goyf, Bob, throw in a couple pacts (paying there costs is too easy). I can't see it being much fun at all.

This would cause decks to become too greedy and land hate would be the only dominating deck type.

Oddly enough someone constructed a list with the same idea in mind--and it totally sucked. They had dark confidant next to thundermaw hellkite and none of their numbers were any good. It was really embarrassing actually.
