Normal version pretty stable in that $50 range, and with 'perfect' (poor Standard players) mana coming next set for Esper/UW, he may climb even higher.
I dont know, I'm still laughing that I got both him and Phoenix's before the jump I'm probably going to sell high on Teferi.

The phoenixes were insane. I got them when they were five bucks and they took off to the moons.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
The foil Deathgorge Scavenger that I bought for 5$ is now 2$. Should have waited, and not trusted Standard prices. The only positive is I only bought one of these things, instead of buying 3 of them as originally planned to improve Living End.

yeh no joke, let me know what cards you think are worth preordering or picking up lol. i waffled on teferi, and just missed on phoenix outright. had to buy into both at premium. even if phoenix continues to do well in both standard and modern im basically guaranteed to eat a loss on em (paid 24/per)
also im assuming you mean onslaught strands; because the ktk ones are still under 20. im still kicking myself for not picking up the onslaught versions when the prices were both low. the only ONS fetches i picked up were deltas.
as for teferi, i think he has already hit his peak. it might go up again after RNA, but i cant see them ever getting past ~55. if you are looking to sell them id personally do it if they ever get back to that point.

Some Standard players are telling me that Teferi has room to grow even more than now. I doubt it personally, but some are looking at $60 each in the future.

If the 'Best of One' Bant Nexus deck takes off (especially with that mistake that is the 'Untap All Lands' Enchantment) I can easily see Teferi getting higher.

eh, teferi is already played in a top tier standard deck (a full set no less). also the surge in demand coinciding with his debut in modern came and went.
i just cant see how demand for teferi could outstrip the fairly substantial supply to the point where its the same, if not more, than where he was at his peak through summer/fall 2018.
well maybe i CAN see how it would happen, multiple standard decks running a set of him; or the field narrows and some 4x teferi deck is wrecking it like RBx last season. that and or some new card making him better in modern and beyond.
i dunno, color me skeptical.

People said Baby Jace would never be more than $30, then $50, then $80, but it hit over $100. Now, Teferi probably won't get that high, just because tons more Dominaria was opened compared to Origins, but it's not out of the question to have Standard 4x Mythics at stupid prices.

yeah but baby jace is a 2 drop creature in 1 color, it was like an auto 4-of in any deck playing blue. considering the mana bases at the time that was like...75% of the field lol. i even remember him being in those coco rally decks, which is all sort of counter-intuitive. teferi is a monster of a card, but i wouldnt take the comparison further than that.
teferi compared jtms i can get behind. it took cawblade standard to get the old mind sculptor that high.
Was hoping UMA would drop singles prices a bit more. I thought for sure tarmogoyf would drop to 35-ish.
my guess is that the new artwork has thrown people off. if it had been the same as the previous masters sets i think it would be getting that low. just too many people deluding themselves that goyf is still the best thing since sliced bread and or the special artwork might be meaningful down the road imo. no basis for the claim, just a hunch.
edit: unrelated, but UMA boxes really jumped up in price. dunno what the hell is up with that. SCG never went below 40 in stock whenever i checked, suddenly they have 50 and the price is higher lol.
Just wanted to chime in on the teferi discussion. He's way more applicable than karn 1.0 imho and time eventually drove karn through the roof.
While karn does have edh support and is a four of in his respective deck which has put up fairly consistent results over moderns time - he has no other eternal applications of note really.
I'd be surprised if teferi floated down past $25 after rotation and didn't immediately start climbing again. The card is legitimately good and brought UW control decks back into the fray with only search and itself.
I could see a reprint for him down the road, but it would be years unless the slide him into a challenger deck like they did Chandra.
Bigger stores don't always disclose their true inventory so looking at numbers is a bit pointless
oh yeah i dont doubt. just seeing it happening fluidly across different stores/outlets makes you put on the tinfoil hat and think about collusion. the way i see it, it is just some domino effect instigated by 1 or a few parties; and from what i saw scg wasnt the first to move.

yes, last time it was 20 in Germany on mkm(magiccardmarket) where all european buy online cards. Seems a lot of seller wait till prize climb higher bevor selling. It surprise me, because it is not limited....seems printing is over allready? I want another uma box, but don't want pay 40 euro more then 3 weeks ago

i dunno ive been reading up on it, and there definitely isnt any credible source saying there would only be 1 print wave. its either people swearing they have some 'inside source' that there definitely wont be another, or the skeptics arguing that doing another wave would be trivial compared to the money wizards could make.
but yeh, i thought about another box, but personally with all the uncertainty/risk it doesnt seem worth it at all. getting one at 280-290 USD (245-255 EU) was a stretch, and 325-330 is just out of the question considering how much card prices have dipped.

but when they normally print next wave? Is there any regular time like example 6 months after first printing? And how we can know if they do or not?
but when they normally print next wave? Is there any regular time like example 6 months after first printing? And how we can know if they do or not?
from what i understand wizards usually prints all at once, but they might release it in waves. most of the masters sets have either been just 1 wave and over, or 1 and another shortly after (within the first 2ish months) which is smaller. eternal masters was the only exception; where everyone believed it was just one-and-done, but nearly six months later they did another big wave that caught everyone off guard and tanked the prices of boxes. im not sure if it was a genuine second printing, or if wizards just held a bunch back.
if you look at iconic masters/masters 25 box prices it look like wizards overestimated demand since boxes are pretty cheap and are everywhere.
really no one can tell because wizards/hasbro isnt obligated to let people know and they make the decision. maybe hasbro pressures wizards to get more UMA product out there to milk the cash cow, or maybe what is out there now is it. that said it seems a lot of people were angry about what happened with eternal masters; the people (including local game stores) who bought a lot initially and planned to hoard them - then the second wave hit and they ate a big loss. i have no clue if wizards even cares, but SOME people considered it a mistake.
also note that im definitely no expert lol. im looking into these sort of things for the first time when i never really thought about it before UMA.

My shop doesn't order much uma, because of disaster at last mastersets (still have a lot of eternal master) and now uma is a success and they can't get more of them.
from what ive seen just getting packs online is still easy and below msrp. the box toppers really distort things, particularly the chase ones. because you can see through the packs, the only way to get a shot at one is sealed boxes; so the gap between pack EV and box EV only gets wider with time.
tbh im not sure if how box toppers were designed/handled was a genius stroke by wotc or moronic.
i still have my snapcaster box topper. it looks like it isnt highly sought after like some of the others despite still commanding such a high price tag. its only gone up since i pulled it, but you can clearly see less copies moving on tcgplayer/ebay. it does look really good, but admittedly others have more 'punch' either due to aspects of the old art (coloring, perspective, etc) or just new art all together.
