Yep, pretty insane stuff. Looking to be about $53 on the low end. I wish I had bought a million of those at $5 each instead of 4 during Standard. I literally hardly ever used the freaking things!

Interesting choice of inclusions. I imagined they would've made each deck at least two colors, so they could've jammed in some shocks in more than just one deck. Also surprised to see Arclight; that plus the copies of Sulfur Falls alone make it the deck that's most likely to fly off shelves first, the copies of Chart a Course are the cherry on top. Other than that, I agree with the above comments; I was almost sure they'd print at least one copy each of Teferi AND Search for Azcanta among the 4 decks, however, I can see why they'd be hesitant to include Teferi considering its % meta share at the time.

The vibrant packaging for the mono-white deck will put an end to the guessing game of how long they've been sitting on the shelf once the dust starts to collect...

I've seen Invocation Threads of Disloyalty as low as 13€ on MCM. I've got no particular interest them, but they seem super cheap, and not bad at all since they can take a Shadow, a TiTi or a Goyf (lol). Also Shatterstorm is around 20€, and I might get some for Storm to swap for some number of Abrade and other things for the Whir Prison and Affinity matchups. What do you think?

They seem like pretty solid pickups. I've seen them low as well and was considering them my damn self. If I hadn't spent way too much on Magic in the past few months, I'd probably get a go at it (meanwhile I probably will spend elsewhere, lol).

I need one Emrakul, the Aeons Torn for a modern deck. Just one copy is enough.
Is this a good time to buy one, or could the price decrease in the following months?

Where is anyone seeing growth in Emrakul? MTG Golfish has it slowly and steadily trending downward for months.

It's probably just mixed speculation going in a few directions. With people speculating on Karakas I could see Emrakul dropping further if not just tanking. If they print something that can bring her back reliably, then she might see play for awhile again.

maybe mtgthewary meant emrakul the promised end, because the aeons torn isnt seeing much upward movement but rather, like cfusionpm pointed out, has been trending downwards especially thanks to a uma reprint.

the big market driver currently is EDH, with a minor one being mid to long term specs on generic modern staples (like fetches, thoughtseize, jtms, etc) that are largely deck agnostic or under the radar playables from relatively recent sets; seeing as their is no reliable reprint source people can point to.

ulamog the ceaseless hungerer, kalitas, and emrakul the promised end have been gaining substantial upward traction with overlap in both categories. ugin was/is another, but that ship is a little too far passed at this point.

I only started to pick up a few of the Amonkhet/Hour of Devastation Invocations within the last year, after all the lottery cards were pumped and dumped last April. The relevant Expeditions/Masterpieces ended up stabilizing, but the Invocations absolutely tanked after that. I recall selling a Choke and Counterbalance for ~$100 each and re-buying them for ~$25/ea a few months later. When I noticed the majority of Invocations weren't rebounding, I started to pick up copies of anything relevant to Modern/eternal formats that was still sitting under $30, so I ended up with playsets of Entomb, Slaughter Pact, Boil, Chain Lightning, and Shatterstorm, Threads of Disloyalty, Divert, plus some odds and ends.

IMO, there are still quite a few under priced Invocations from Hour of Devastation, especially when you consider WotC terminated the print run early. Yeah, the frames and hieroglyphics are awful, but from a sheer rarity standpoint I'm surprised there are still a handful of them under $20. Solid upside for not much risk.

The entire market for magic is going to go up. Also, still going to be about the fetchlands as far as modern goes given that everyone was sitting around doing absolutely nothing with Kahns, and now the gambler tax is finally increasing the prices on the boxes.

Right now this market is a sellers market. I'm just dodging bullets left and right and sitting on my mox opal / Engineered Explosive goodness for a bit. I'm anticipating Modern Horizons is going to cause prices to spike even harder.

Thoughts:

1. Modern Horizons is going to keep interest in the format way up there
2. Slower rate of reprints after UMA served WOTC's "you wanted reprints?! fine have everything now leave us alone!"

I mean even Death's Shadow is practically doubled in price over the last week. I'm considering selling my spare fetches as I've shifted my focus to legacy, but it feels like things will only go up the rest of the year.

I notice that Tarmogoyf's price is now at an all time low. Some sites sell it for just 40$.

Barring a reprint in a commander product there isn't anywhere to really print them and that would be a huge print in commander since just one enemy fetch is worth the MSRP.

We are still waiting on the announcement of the next premium pricetag product (and it will be coming) so until that announcement there doesn't seem to be anywhere for fetches to go (but up).

Sounds about right. You can get a Snapcaster for 55-60 and Bloodstained for about 30 on ebay so they are roughly the same. The mire is probably better as a value pick since it's easier to move lands, but otherwise the same.

Anyway, I have a limited knowledge on prices because I only buy from TCGplayer and SCG.

Although given the same situation as yours, I would prefer to buy the lands... because real estate is easier to sell. There's always people who needs them, because all deck needs lands.

Will you be playing the Snappy? IMO, I would've done the same had I needed to buy a Snappy to finish a deck, but if it was a pure financial decision I would've gone with the Mires. Unless WotC announces some product containing fetchland reprints, it's looking like conditions will be ripe for the more played allied fetches to see $10-20+ spikes in the months following Horizons. We're almost 5 years out since Khans and there's a non-zero chance that Horizons will generate increased/new interest in the format; with enemy fetches reaching absurd highs and allied fetches already identified as cheaper alternatives, that gap will continue to close with increased demand. I don't think it's a reach to think that out of the ~200 new cards coming from Horizons there will be a new land cycle that functions in such a way to where the average deck would need/want to play less fetches; aside from a surprise reprint announcement, this is the only other scenario I can think of where prices wouldn't spike following Horizons.

No, it was a financial decision. I just saw Snappy on FB for $45 at LP. I know Bloodstained Mires are at least $25 and I could have moved them. I have plenty of both cards.

Oh well. It wasn't too much of a difference and it already felt like a "loss" when my deck failed me in games 2 and 3. The deck had gotten me past some tough players in the Swiss, but keeping hands with 0-1 Brainstorm and Ponder, just missing 1 piece to Combo, hurt me.
