I think Wrench Mind is as powerful a Hymn we are going to get.
I think you forgot to mention Stifle. (agree...this ability needs to be put into a reasonable CMC)
I also like the Mother of Runes suggestion. She is so awe-thumb
I really do not understand why people think Trickbind is too costly. It is not color intensive, has split second, and stops the ability from being used again that turn. Yea, you can play stifle turn one, but I really do not see that as a very big advantage.

I believe it is mostly because on the draw stifle can be a stone rain were trickbind can't. Also part of it is that stifle is used a lot in legacy but trickbind is not used a lot in modern. This is mostly because legacy has tons of good targets to hit were modern does not. Even stifle wouldn't be that good in modern, but people would throw it in their decks because of the name.
It is kinda like how the name brand corn flakes taste the same as the generic ones, yet most people buy the brand and not the result.

I guess it depends on the meta, but I never have trouble not having targets for Trickbind. I have started main decking it, where I have the room.

There is a stark difference between having targets and having uses.
I.E. you can counter a KotRs search ability with it or you could be running removal so you can just kill the dang thing.

Trickbind must be at least a SB card on every blue deck.
1- It auto wins UR combo
2- On the play is easy a Stone rain making 2-0 the land count.
3- Can stop Twin the turn it wins and allow you to cast what you want on your turn.
4- Counters the ability of Birthing pod and causes opponent to loose a creature for nothing.
5- Can gain flashback with Snapcaster (better than nothing)
6- Has SPLIT SECOND
7- Can counter cascade effect from living end.

essentially everything you mentioned can be handled with counterspells too. This is the fallacy with the card. If can stop a lot of things. but it does not answer anything except for storm.

Yeah but its the perfect answer when anything hits the battlefield.
Opponent can cast birthing pod when you got only 1 land (with bob), and you can trickbind the ability next turn, what is a lot better than only see it resolving. The good thing with trickbind is that in most cases its a 2x1. You cast in when opponent sacrifices a creature with birthing pod, when splinter twin enchants a creature, when a fetchland is cracked, when a creature is sacrificied to make an ability....
that is not a 2 for 1. It is just the same as a bounce spell. A 1 for 1 that grants you a bit of tempo.
In the situation with pod you would be better off with a path to use in response to the pod.
Everything that you mentioned above can be handled permanently by one of these 2 spells except for the fetchland.
I would almost go as far to say using a trickbind for certain things is actually worse than a bounce spell deck depending.

in some cased, yes, though what is great about Trickbind is that it does all of that and deals with storm and cascade. If it is easy to splash, cheap, deals passibly with several things I see frequently, and deals very well with a couple things I see often and that ruin my game more times than not, then the card is worth running. I face storm and cascade triggers several times a night, so it is worth running Trickbind. It could be that my experience is the exception.

I derailed a thread. Go Me!
Stifle costs less than Trickbind. Counter spells are irrelevant against it. It is bait, generally.
Trickbind is a bad answer to Storm. A good player will ritual around your Trickbind (pro tip-cause they saw it with probe) and cast Past in Flames and win.
And the fact that Maelstrom Pulse is still a staple through all these reasons, means Vindicate should not be reprinted.
Printing famous but probably overpowered spells to tone down some archetypes is not really my view of fixing a format. It will only make it more reliant on a smaller card pool, as you are eliminating entire archetypes with them, rather than specific decks.
And yes, of course there can be a balance between the archetypes and their counters, but this is not utopia, so I don't think that's going to happen just by reprinting some powerful spells. This is a format without rotation, and one need only look at the extensive banlist that it is severely flawed and one or two cards isn't going to do a whole lot of good to that.
Vindicate would have been a fine card.

In case I didn't tell you, I don't care about your opinion I just want your facts. And not the facts that make you seem smart. I want the ones that are actual facts.
I would immediately start playing UW Tempo of some kind, probably. Memory Lapse + Oust + random stuff to just screw up my opponent's draws.
That would be fun though. I miss being able to throw a deck together with cards that I like and stomp people. This is why I started playing magic in the first place. It wasn't PT aspirations just making noobs cry by doing things that are perfectly fair.

Is there any reason behind Living Wish and not the rest of the cycle?
Just curious. You seem more like a Cunning Wish kind of guy...(lack of good targets maybe?)
well yeah. Mostly I was just grabbing cards from an old school gifts rock list I used to run. The whole wish cycle would be fine and very fun. Although the green one is arguable the best.
