Also, Geist Trappers is significantly worse than all three of the green 2 drops.
I don't think you've played very much AVR limited if you think that. Do you know how many decks just can't beat a Geist Trappers on turn 5? There's a lot of them. The only green two-drop close in power level to Trappers is Wandering Wolf and without some way to buff him he quickly gets outclassed.

Nightshade peddler is really powerful. I'd probably take it over wolf in a lot of situations. But yes, Ghostbusters are also really powerful.

Asking people to remove quotes in their signatures is tyranny! If I can't say something just because someone's feelings are hurt then no one would ever be able to say anything! Political correctness is stupid.
Yeah I think Ghostbusters gets my vote for "common that really doesn't look very good on paper, but in practice is amazing"; Heirs of Stromkirk are the opposite
R/G gives you access to exterminator/peddler, prowess/peddler, somberwald vigilante/peddler, exterminator/guide, champion/thatcher's revolt.
R/U gives you access to Exterminator/Ghostly Touch, Lookout/Scalding Devil, as well as powerful late game finishers and clocks in latch seeker, into the void, and mist raven.
I actually think green is the strongest color in Avacyn Restored. Borderland Ranger, Wandering Wolf, Druid's Familiar, Howlgeist, Blessings of Nature, Trusted Forcemage, Nightshade Peddler, Timberland Guide, Triumph of Ferocity, and Wolfir Avenger are insane and I always get them (except Familiar and Avenger) like 6th pick. There are also some ridiculous rares like Silverheart and Ulvenwald Tracker (yeah he is ridiculous). I might be biased, but I always seem to end up in green.

I am racky54 on Cockatrice and I'm almost always up for a match
I have been drafting a lot of RED, paired with either GREEN or WHITE. Even when I pull together very good decks with many of the best red humans and cards that complement them from other colors, I still just get so absolutely blown out by blue. The main offenders are:
- Into the Void - Holy **** is this a tempo play. Setting people back two turns AT INSTANT SPEED is just the ultimate groan play.
- Creeping Chill - See that awesome card you just played that you think is going to help you win the game? Well I'm going to tap it at instant speed for two turns. Oh, and it replaces itself. So much more powerful than it looks in actual practice.
- Anything that flies - Unless you manage to grab a few good white fliers or you are Red/Blue, there is very little I am usually able to do about flyers coming at me. Thunderbolt only does so much.
So frustrating to play blue right now. I get crushed in such a slow methodical fashion that it's just demoralizing. Red is great at overwhelming and racing but it's so hard to do when the other side is just popping all your cards back into your hand faster than you can play them.
