Sagu Archer never really impressed me. By the time you hit 5 mana you should have better things to do than flipping a 2 power morph. Two drops can be pretty hard to come by in this format and while Smoke Teller is worse than the one we picked up last pack it's still a fine curve-filler.
I take the Smoke Teller. It's just a bear mostly, which is good enough to face morphs. The ability is in our colors and if we have some mana to spare, knowing what that colorless 2/2 is is a worthwhile investment.
Sagu archer is the best card in the pack, on color, and a great defensive card for us to pick up late.
It can seem a little lackluster to flip it late in the game, but think of the card instead as having two modes: a 2/2 three drop or a 2/5 reach five drop. That flexibility is the important thing that makes it a better pick than a typical spider.
We have no color fixing so far. And while morphs help with mitigating the problem, they don't solve it. So I'm taking Scout the Borders over Monastery Flock to dig for missing lands or creatures if we have all the colors already. And the sorcery fuels delve nicely.
This is a pretty close pick for me. We already have two delve cards, and are likely to pick up more, which makes Scout pretty attractive. That said, Sultai decks can struggle in the early game against aggressive decks, and Flock provides some breathing room to develop, while Scout forces you to take a turn off of board development. I think, given that we have three turn one/two plays already, I'm comfortable taking the strong enabler in Scout the Borders.
Monastery flock. The runner-up is the spider, followed by the combat trick... followed by elk... with scout the borders coming in before the land. Paying three mana at sorcery speed for card selection is very poor.
A scout the borders can be a necessary evil, but I want to play between zero and one. The easy solution to all the problems Funk and Rez mention (three colors and no fixing, two delve cards and no enablers) isn't to take scout the borders early and over an awesome morph card, it's to cut sultai scavenger. Once you do that, it's more obvious we're a UG deck splashing a little black with just the right amount of delve.
Maybe we'll first pick a dead drop next pack and have a good reason to play a card like scout the borders. But I'd rather make picks now based on making the best version of the deck we have, and that deck really wants a flexible, cheap creature.
The Rider is the strongest card here, and I'm tempted to take and maybe even splash for it. Otoh, the Bond-Kin fits our colors without a stretch. It's mostly just a vanilla 5/3, though. I'll go with the Bond-Kin, because a 4-color deck out of what we have right now feels like a disaster to happen. We simply don't have the fixing nessessary and probably won't get it anymore either.
The other cards in the pack are better, but Krumar Bond-Kin is playable and in our colors. Plus if we happen to pick up Secret Plans or Trail of Mystery we'll want all the morphs we can get.
We are solidly in Sultai now, but a Temur Banner still fixes 2/3 of our colors and allows for a red splash. Not that I would want to play the card. The Adept really doesn't vibe with me, too fragile for too high a cost.
Temur banner. Slower, 4color decks are the only ones that should be playing banners. We may or may not play it, but we don't even need to spend a high pick on it, so this is a good pickup.
It's worth noting that we've seen a lot of temur cards late, so it's pretty likely a splash is in our future.
