Two bomby flyers here in Serra Angel and Shalai, I would be happy with either. The Angel as an uncommon has a higher chance of popping up in another pack, though, plus if this deck ends up in green, Shalai can grow out of hand.
Nothing compelling here for me to tell the truth. We can take the Call or Swarm to make more creatures to buff with Shalai. Or the limited but useful Pierce the Sky as removal to put us further into green for Shalai's ability. Divination or the Tome for some card advantage. Final Parting to tutor up some powerful card we may pick later or Shalai. The Shard could also be useful. In light of the Set having a Saproling theme, thus many cards to support and make them bigger, like Shalai already is, I'm going with the Swarm.
I want one of the removal spells here. I expect to cast Shivan Fire mostly with kicker anyway, especially since I also expect it to be a splash. So it comes down to wether 1 more damage and the option to destroy an artifact with a sorcery is worth more than being an instant. And I think it is, so Fiery Intervention is my pick.
Taking the Unicorn or the Elephant here seems too early, even if we want to play white for Shalai. Picking either would lessen the white we are passing, though, to send a signal that white is taken. But I'm not even sure at this point, that it is. The color neutral Guardians seem like the best bet, since it is historic and enables more historic with its ability. I'll take that and wait for a clearer indicator for which colors are open.

I'll take the combat trick here, Adamant Will, which can also keep Shalai alive against a removal spell. Another Wurm should come by later, if we want a fatty.
Skin-Witch is probably the best card, but we don't have any black cards so far. Elephant is pretty meh, so I like the strong sideboard option in Pierce here.

Three votes and all different? Wow. And for me personally it comes down to either splashing a second Fiery Intervention or taking the equipment with the heavy boost to its wielder. The high equip cost makes it a late game card but one that turns every little dude of ours into a powerhouse. Charge, I think, will wheel, at least we should see something useful come around again from this pack.
We have mostly weenies so I don't think Ancient Animus is where we want to be. Cast Down is great but I don't think it's worth splashing over the Verdant Force which is in our colors and fits what we are doing.

Three votes and all different? Wow. And for me personally it comes down to either splashing a second Fiery Intervention or taking the equipment with the heavy boost to its wielder. The high equip cost makes it a late game card but one that turns every little dude of ours into a powerhouse. Charge, I think, will wheel, at least we should see something useful come around again from this pack.
