Since I had no opportunity to draft Dominaria at all, and it doesn't look like I ever will, I decided to revive a little project I had going on the Wizards forums before they went to nirvana. That is, a community draft experience, where everyone can vote on the next pick. I know, that other forums do this too, in one form or another, but there's nothing like that here. And I'd really like to see some Dominaria draft in action.
So here's the deal. Today, I post the first round of boosters for a total of 8 players. You can then vote on the picks for any or all of the players as you like. All boosters are random draws from an actual single booster box I got. I'll wait until Sunday before continuing, so that I may attract more people to these first crucial picks. From then on, I will adopt a 2 days wait for the next pick until all boosters have made the round. The last picks of the boosters will be done with a daily schedule. So, the first 8 picks, two days each, the next 5 picks, 1 day each. (The last card is no choice, so I'll go straight to the next pack.) Repeat with the next booster. And the next. Make sure, that you vote for one card only, and that it is clear, what your vote is. Partial votes don't count, you have to choose one card, just like in a real draft. Votes where I can't determine what you chose don't count either. If there is a tie, I will be the tie breaker. If there is no vote, I choose to the best of my judgment. Though remember, I have no experience with the format.
(I'm not using the forum's vote system, because I would have to update for every pick and for every player, if that is even possible. You just vote in your post by stating what card you choose.)
You can discuss a player's picks and deck in that player's thread. In fact, I encourage you to explain your vote, so that others may share your wisdom. I most likely will post my own thoughts as well. But only if there is no vote or there's a tie will my choice have any influence. Please keep general discussion, critique, etc. to this thread. I will also post any changes in schedule and possible delays here as well. Work and life will interfere from time to time. But I will try to keep delays to a maximum of 1 day.
Just one voter so far, that's a very slow start. But well, I'll be going into the second picks of the draft tomorrow anyway, even though it seems that I'll be picking for most of the players myself. Feel free to chime in at any time, all voters are welcome.
Got a bit delayed today due to train trouble. The next and final update for the first pack will still be tomorrow at around the usual time. Last pick isn't a choice so we will jump straight to the second pack tomorrow.
@Funkenstein3D
It may be a bit of a hassle for you, but please post your votes in the appropriate threads even if it's just agreeing with another poster. Makes counting way easier, though there aren't that many participants (yet). I counted them this time, but doing it this way is a hassle for me and may result in mistakes.
And we are in round two. Votes will be possible for two days each for the next 8 cards. And don't forget, the packs are passed the other way around now.
I like, how this is finally taking off. After the slow start, I was worried, that I would go through the whole thing just by myself. Thanks to everyone for participating, I really appreciate it.
Once again the packs have tabled, so I'll speed up the draft a bit. You'll have only one day to pick a card for the rest of the second round! I'll go back to 2 days once we start with pack #3.
Aaaand we are in round 3! 8 fresh packs full of goodies. The packs will be passed the other way around again. And you'll have 2 days for contemplating and dicussing the picks until the packs have tabled.
I also decided, that I will throw in my own two cents earlier, and not wait until the ship has sailed. My votes still won't have any influence unless it's a tie or no votes have been given.
With this exercise drawing to a close in about a week, I would like some feedback. Has this been fun for you? what was great, what needs work? Etc. I'm inclined to do more of these drafts, though what sets/formats remains yet to be seen. Do you have any suggestions/wishes? Guilds of Ravnica is almost upon us, so if that set is desired for the next draft, there will be some delay as I'll then be using actual booster packs and have to wait for the box to arrive. For other formats, I'll be putting together random packs myself.
With today's update, I discovered, that a card has been lost for quite some time in one of the packs in the third round. I'll edit in a comment in the various posts and add the missing Pierce the Sky where it belongs. The card could have made some difference in picks, but putting it back is the best remedy I can do. My apologies.

I'm myself inlcined to go for an older set/block next, too. Anything particular you would want to try?

A great thanks to all who contributed.
I've already prepared the next run, and will begin it shortly, probably tomorrow.
