I want to brag about... !$!$%!&*!^#^!&* bad luck. Yes, I want to vent.
Yesterday: 1 mana screw + 4 mana flood out of 7 games.
Today:
First game I'm on the draw and get 1-land hand. Mulligan into two-land hand with baleful eidolon and read the bones so I decide to keep it rather going to 5. Of course, I don't draw land until the 4th turn. Then the read the bones reveal two land on top! Great right? Yeah, except the next four cards are are also lands! Mulligan, screw then flood?!?
Second game, on the play. My hand: 2 plains, 1 swamp, grey merchant, whip of erebos, read the bones and something else (either the white 3/2 for 3 or dauntless onslaught). On the third turn I already drew one plains out of two draws. I read the bones... no land. I want to hit my land drops so I ship the cards and draw... two plains. Then I proceed to draw 3 more plains in a row. No swamp, mind you. Then I die to flyers.
MTGO, was grabbing early white for possible heroic deck, but was passed 2 late Garys so started gathering black at the end of the pack. P2, Fabled Hero into Agent of the Fates. Grabbed a few cantrip enchants and heroic enablers and was fairly happy. P3, I open Elspeth. Deck was a tad on the expensive side, but I had enough early game to stabilize, I thought.
Match 1, mulled a 1 land hand into no land hands until I mulled to 2 (18 land deck btw). Match 2, mulled to 5 with a 4 land hand and the Hero only to watch him get shocked. Flooded on land, laughed, and called it a day.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Just beat double Agent + Whip deck. Sea God's Revenge is the best topdeck ever.

Signalling is like farting: it's a natural thing that helps people avoid being where you are, and if you try to do it deliberately, things turn to crap fast.

Oh boy. Just drafted a deck with 2 Voyaging Satyr, Dat Asp, Fleecemane Lion, Arbor Colossus, Wingsteed, Dauntless Onslaught, 2 Leafcrown Dryad, and splashing Reaper of the Wilds and Medomai, the Ageless off 2 Opaline Unicorns, Nylea's Presence and Unknown Shores. Worst card was Agent of Horizons, which ain't bad at all with four U sources. I should also note that in my first game of the draft, I had Lion, Medomai, Colossus and Reaper all out at once. My opponent wasn't even mad.

I had been in a bit of a break, as I wasn't enjoying playing as much, but I missed it and reinstalled MtGO this afternoon. I lost in the finals of an 8-4 with UG, then I proceeded to draft this in another 8-4:

I took the draft 3-0 in a pretty convincing fashion especially winning 2 games on a mull to 5 and only loosing one game because I literally saw all 17 of my lands.
Finally got to sac Gary to Rescue another Gray! Been waiting to do that since the spoiler... and it won me the match.

Got to live the dream recently. Monstrous Hundred Handed One enchanted with an Aqueus Form, Nimbus Naid, and Thassas Emissary. He still got me to two with gary though. So much fun.
My Round one opponent saw my deck during deck creation and didn't even want to play round one, conceded and went to the bar (a friend, in fairness). I also managed to beat a blue black deck that resolved 3 grey Merchants in consecutive turns against me.
I'm so good at opening busted sealed pools then passing them to people at PTQs.

Hey, me too! A few weeks ago, I opened up Elspeth, Spear of Heliod, Fabled Hero, and Stormbreath Dragon, only to pass it for a pool that only really offered a 4-color green pile of garbage.

Pack 1? I don't want to know the rest of the draft...
lol this was pack 2, but it was still quite shocking. You see, when I cracked P2P1 I was basically given a choice between said Wingsteed Rider, Emissary of Heliod, and Spear of Heliod. It was LOADED for white. Given what I already had after pack one, I opted for the Spear, sadly saying goodbye to the other two cards and getting on with the draft.
When Wingsteed wheeled I about fell out of my chair. That NEVER happens.
