T1 Mountain, Insolent Neonate.
T2 Mountain, Ravenous Bloodseeker, attack with Neonate (opponent at 19)
T3 Swamp, Skin Invasion on Neonate, attack. (opponent at 18). He plays Dauntless Cathar. End of opponent's turn: sac Neonate, madness Bloodmad Vampire, draw a card, get Skin Shedder.
T4 Mountain, attack, on declare attackers blast off Cathar by Fiery Temper off the Bloodseeker, play Uncaged Fury on the Bloodmad Vampire. Attack for 3+3+5+6= 17, ending up with a 3/4, 1/3 and 6/3. He draws his card and scoops.
Why did you end up with anything other than a turn 4 win? Forget to attack with Bloodseeker on T3 to put him to 17?
Good point. I think I was afraid of Puncturing Light and REALLY did not want to lose the Bloodseeker.

Thanks to 2 x Lightning Axe, 2 x Skin Invasion, 2 x Murderous Compulsion, 2 x Throttle, and Masquerade (although somehow 0 Fiery Temper) that deck was able to set up other silly combat states with Sanguinary Mage and Pyre Hound getting value while blowing up creatures mid-combat.
Ouch. But maybe I'm OK. I figure he can hit me for 10 with Progenitus, but then I will annihilate 10 and swing back. He has exactly 10 permanents, so he'd need to drop 2 more next turn to have enough to both chump Ulamog AND not sacrifice Progenitus. He can only topdeck one more permanent. Seems safe.
Played in the 2HG sealed event last night. We had our opponents to 8 health and they were dead on board next turn. We were at 26 or something like that, I know of no card in the format that was going to put us in any danger. All they have is a couple random 2/1s and 1/1s littering the board for one guy, and a Felidar Guardian, the 4/3 lifegain flier, and Panharmonicon for the other.
Second guy plays a second Felidar Guardian...
That's right, someone pulled off infinite life in a prerelease sealed event, on the last turn before they were going to die.
My helpy helpdesk of helpfulness.
My Decks: EDH: Sygg, River Cutthroat , Road to Scion
Grimgrin, Corpseborn Modern: Polytokes IRL: Progenitus Polymorph , Goblins
Early game opponent plays a Verdant Automaton. I'm staring at the Decommision in my hand and think "gee it'd be fun to use this after he wastes mana adding a counter or two". Time to go fishing. I play a flyer and pass.
On his turn he taps out to try to Hunt the Weak one of my flyers, but I save it with Alley Evasion, so all he gets is a +1/+1 counter (2/3 Automaton). Again I could kill his Automaton. But instead I keep racing him in the air, tapping out all my creatures to encourage him to grow his Automaton and attack. He taps out again to play Ridgescale Tusker as a fancy way to stick on one more +1/+1 counter (3/4 Automaton). I take some damage. Then I Thopter Arrest his Tusker and keep racing him in the air, ahead in damage. On his turn he uses 4 mana to add a counter (4/5 Automaton) and attacks. I take some damage. He's already spent 15 mana and all he's accomplished for his board state is the 4/5 Automaton, while I've got 2 flyers and am ahead in the race. On my turn, again I could kill his Automaton. But nah... I'll just keep racing in the air and pass with no blockers.
At this stage I'm at 10 life. He's about to lose in 2 more flyer attacks. He has 7 mana. Maybe instead of playing blockers or removal he'll activate the ability one more time, thinking he can race me. But he does one better! Precombat he casts Larger than Life to get an 8/9 trampler. He attacks. It's Declare Attackers step. Should I cast Decommision yet? Nah... I'll wait. I declare no blockers. In Declare Blockers step he adds on Highspire Infusion.
Ok, now's a good time. Decommision. Opponent concedes.
I was way behind but gradually stabilized by removing threats, trading off creatures, growing my Yahenni, Undying Partisan, and finally dropping Demon of Dark Schemes. Opponent still has more creatures and near full life, so Demon is on defense while 8/8 Yahenni attacks into dorks. Opponent chumps with Felidar Guardian. Big mistake.
On his turn precombat he tries to Daring Demolition my Demon of Dark Schemes. In response I reanimate Felidar Guardian to flicker Demon, shrinking his team, then sacrifice Guardian to Yahenni for future shenanigans. Good luck trying to kill Demon!
My opponent and me are in a ground stall, where I have a 7/7 but can't profitably attack with it, when they play Nissa, Steward of Elements. They take it to 12 loyalty over a couple of turns, while playing another 2 fliers. Finally, they use her ult and attack with the fliers as well...and I Heaven//Earth to kill all their fliers, including the lands, then aftermath it on my turn to kill everything but my 7/7, which I use to finish off Nissa.
I do nothing and pass, setting up the bait, hoping he'll get greedy and overextend to play for the win. He untaps and plays right into it. I lockdown Tah-Crop with Edifice. He taps Twins with Fan Bearer and attacks with everything (6 damage). I flash in Vizier to flicker the Spearmaster, block the Priest, and take 1 from the Mummy going to 1. Then I untap, lockdown his Tah-Crop again with Edifice, cast Ahn-Crop Crasher and alpha strike, exerting everything and removing his last blocker (untapped Spearmaster). My team gets +4/+1. Surprise!
Opponent is at 2 life but I'm dead to Emberhorn Minotaur next turn if I can't finish things. I'm in topdeck mode and all I have out is a Shadowstorm Vizier and 7 lands. I untap and draw a useless land, so I aftermath Memory from my graveyard, leaving an Island untapped.
Shuffle, draw 7.
Play an Island.
Cast Pull from Tomorrow, X = 0.
Discard a card, Shadowstorm Vizier triggers.
Attack for 2, win.

That may be the only time casting Memory on Commit // Memory is the right call. Bonus points for winning with a bad card.
I'm playing against a guy who managed to build a 4 color deck with Drake Haven, New Perspectives, and Approach of the Second Sun. I'm playing U/W Flying/Embalm, with no bomb rares. I won game 1 with beat down, I lost game 2 to him flooding me with Zombie Tokens from Stir the Sands. I sideboard out some of my grindy Control for some third rate beatdown cards. Game 3 drags out. He has Merciless Javelineer, but it's 0/2 thanks to Illusory Wrappings. I have a Shimmerscale Drake, two Naga Oracles, a Fan Bearer and a 0/1 zombie flyer thanks to -1/-1 tokens, In addition to the Javelineer, he has a pair of 1/3 blue creatures. I'm at 20 and he's at 8 life. This is how the game went through the final turns:
1-he casts Approach of the Second Sun, and he only has 5 cards in his library at this point. He also has New Perspectives in play, but he passes the turn.
2-I attack with the Shimmerscale Drake and the Naga Oracles and I knock him back to single digits. I also cast Gideon's Intervention, naming Approach of the Second Sun(!)
3. He casts a Drake Haven, now having to win some other way. He passes the turn.
4. I cast Lay Claim on his Drake Haven. He uses Merciless Javelineer twice on my Shimmerscale Drake to get a pair of drakes before it resolves.
5. He knocks me to 16 from 20 with Drake tokens, casts some mostly harmless creature I don't recall what it was, then passes the turn. He has to be aggressive, his library is a clock.
6. I top deck In Oketra's Name, one of the trash cards I sideboarded in. I attack with everything, he blocks some, and I cast In Oketra's Name in response, killing half his board and knocking him to 2 life. But, the Merciless Javelineer is still alive.
7. He casts Floodwaters and bounces a pair of Naga Oracles, attacks with the drakes again and I'm at 12. He casts Wander in Death and retrieves a pair of River Serpents he cycled earlier. He is tapped out of mana.
8. I cast the first Naga Oracle and look at the three cards, which include Temmet, Vizier of Naktamun. I put Temmet into the graveyard, and immediately Embalm him. I declare an attack phase, give my 0/1 Embalmed Aven Wind Guide +1/+1 from Temmet's ability, and attack with that and my 1/2 Shimmerscale Drake for two damage, killing him and winning the match.
He attacks with everything. I cycle Unburden to kill Initiate's Companion, chump the Hauler with Dune Beetle, and take 5 going down to 8. On my turn, I play a 5th land and cycle Deem Worthy to kill both Cursed Minotaur and Blighted Bat. He's down to just the Quarry Hauler.
On his turn he plays nothing and attacks with the Hauler, so I just take it going to 4 (most combat tricks wouldn't kill me). Then I play a 6th land, Tormenting Voice, and Warfire Javelineer to kill his Quarry Hauler. He just lost his board while I have 2 creatures out, 3 threats in hand, and 1 more cycler left. Game over.
Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.
He had been locking me down with Edifice each turn, but greedily tapped out this turn to cast Tormenting Voice after his Drake (discarding land and making Drake 1/4). Now I have an opening for this precision kill.
I had been sandbagging these cards for a few turns. I untap, play a 6th land, Decision Paralysis his Oracle and Drake (triggering Prowess), then cast Ahn-Crop Crasher for 2 mana. I attack with everything, exerting Crasher and Twins. A 6/4, 5/5, 5/2, and 4/1 swing at him. He went from having 4 blockers for my 3 creatures to 1 blocker for 4 creatures! He can only block 1 creature and takes exactly 14 damage.
Decider game. He draws almost all his removal, I am losing augmented creatures and I drop into serious card disadvantage.
Opponent has Suspicious Nanny and some fliers, I am dead next turn. But I am at 11 mana, thanks to Serpentine Crocodile who ensures that I dropped a land every turn until now. Big Boa Constrictor in hand. Opponent has 11 life.
I draw Clever Combo. I play Big Boa Constrictor and roll a 6. Then I play the Clever Combo for Multi-Headed and play it on the Constrictor. Since I rolled a die (for the Constrictor ETB) , I roll again EOT. And I roll a 5

Dominaria Draft.
Opponent has Seal Away (exiling my Cloudreader Sphinx) as well as an assortment of soldier tokens and various white 2 power derps.
I have Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar and Tatyova out. Waiting in my hand: Naru Meha and a Broken Bond, with some lands. I decide to hang on to the Bond, as my board can definitely handle my opponent's. While I'd love to get the Sphinx back and scry a bit, my opponent might just present me with another Disenchant target ...
I get rewarded on my opponent's next turn, as he drops In Bolas's Clutches on Multani. Value in 3-2-1-
On my turn, throw Broken Bond at the Clutches and flash in the Master Wizard for a second Bonds.
Break the Seal Away.
Drop a land from the copied Bond, draw 1 gain 1.
Sphinx returns. Scry into more goodies.
Break the Clutches.
Drop another land with Bond, draw 1 gain 1.
End my turn with 20 extra power on my board and still a decently full grip.
SOI prerelease. Opponent's been whittling away at his Thing in the Ice, flips it, and swings me down to 4. Had a Malevolent Whispers and Uncaged Fury in my hand the whoooooooooooooole time. Cut it a little finer than I wanted, but poor dude never saw it coming.
It looks like I have this one in the bag (many ways to push through damage in hand).
Then he casts Inescapable Blaze at my face. Ouch. I go to 2. Cyclops gets +6/+0. He attacks with a 6/8 trample and 1/3 flyer. I can double block the Cyclops with Shieldmate and Truefire Captain, but would still take 1 trample for lethal. Only 1 mana open.
I cast Integrity//Intervention giving the Captain +2/+2. 6/5 + 2/2 now absorb all the damage and kill the Cyclops. I take no trample and survive at 1 life. Captain deals him 5. Then I swing back for lethal.
Good point. I think I was afraid of Puncturing Light and REALLY did not want to lose the Bloodseeker.

Game 1 on the play
T1 Indulgent Aristocrat
T2 Ravenous Bloodseeker (swing for 1)
T3 EOT Lightning Axe your one blocker guy, madness Bloodmad Vampire
T4 Swing for 6. EOT Lightning Axe your one blocker, madness Stensia Masquerade
...
Opponent scooped after all the triggers and me passing with 1 card and mana open.
Him on the play.
He went T1 mana dork, T3 Natural Order into Progenitus.
I went T2 Wall of Roots, T3 Eureka.
Eureka seems safe with Progenitus already out and both Emrakul AND Ulamog in my hand, right?
WRONG.
I drop Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, tapped Raging Ravine, Mountain
He drops Craterhoof Behemoth, Avenger of Zendikar, Survival of the Fittest.
Seems safe.
Then he untaps and plays Phyrexian Metamorph copying Craterhoof.
"Sweet. I have three 8/8 vigilance on the board, soon to be five"
We will rebuild.
Second guy plays a second Felidar Guardian...
That's right, someone pulled off infinite life in a prerelease sealed event, on the last turn before they were going to die.
I have Solemn Recruit with no counters on it, Aether Chaser, and two Servos. I am at 12 life.
Opponent, who rather stabilized, has freshly played Nissa, Vital Force, tapped 5/5 Elemental (who just attacked me), Silkweaver Elite, Defiant Salvager and Cowl Prowler. He is at 7, and tapped out.
I have two cards in hand. So I just tap the Solemn Recruit to attack. Opponent looks at me quizzically, and then blocks just with Defiant Salvager.
Invigorated Rampage on the Recruit, making it 6/2 doublestrike trample
He certainly did NOT see that coming.

His board: Fan Bearer, Rhet-Crop Spearmaster, Tah-Crop Elite, Festering Mummy, Annointer Priest
I'm at 2 life vs 14 life and he just tapped Tah-Crop on my upkeep with Fan Bearer, though he's in topdeck mode.
My hand: Dusk // Dawn (4 weenies already in my GY), Ahn-Crop Crasher, Vizier of Deferment

He started off fast, but I was sequencing my plays to get to this point. It's his turn 5 and this is the game state:
His life: 20
His board: 5 lands, Initiate's Companion, Cursed Minotaur, Quarry Hauler, Blighted Bat just cast and given haste.
His hand: 1 card
My life: 13
My board: 4 lands untapped, -1/2 Dune Beetle (turn 1 Festering Mummy put 1 counter on it), Ruthless Sniper.
My hand: 5 cards

Tah-Crop Skirmisher, Trueheart Twins, Nimble-Blade Khenra with Cartouche of Knowledge, Hazoret's Monument, 5 lands.
He's at 14 life. His board:
Slither Blade (just attacked), Watchers of the Dead, Nef-Crop Entangler, Naga Oracle, 1/4 Enigma Drake (just cast), Edifice of Authority with 3 bricks, and 5 lands all tapped.
He had been locking me down with Edifice each turn, but greedily tapped out this turn to cast Tormenting Voice after his Drake (discarding land and making Drake 1/4). Now I have an opening for this precision kill.
