MTG Salvation

I like it. Usually I hit them once or twice early, and it's nice to draw into another discard spell turn 6 or so to make sure the coast is clear for Bob. It's redundant if I have an active Liliana, but I'm only running two Liliana because she doesn't synergize with this deck a whole lot. Unlike BWg StoneBlade, you often have to choose between losing something good and discarding a card. I have found sitting her at 4 and then not using her +1 unless I draw something useless is a good call.

i find it hard for decks that run black to cut discard spells... it is the thin line we got from winning against blue archetypes. IMHO. discard spells must not be less than 7. liliana is not a discard spell and should not be considered as one so you can cut out 2 hymns or so. IMHO.

I've been playing Jund in Legacy (using Pat Cox list from GP Denver)
Can I get some advice/tips for sideboarding?
I feel like I'm putting in the right cards (example: 2 Ancient Grudge against Esper Stoneblade), but I'm still unsure what to take out.

Any advice/tips would be great.

isn't REB/Pyro one of the main reasons besides from bolt and lavamancer as to why you are running red instead of white?

I would run pernicious deed instead of plague... i had a bad experience last tourney on plagues.

It depends. I find DGA/BWg StoneBlade decks to be even to bad matchups, but against KotR/traditional rock decks we have a positive matchup. It's basically a CA war.

How does the match play out vs Tempo RUG?

I think that Jund has come to stay in Legacy. I mean, this decklists look like Modern Jund + duals + tourach + top/sylvan. Just wait a few months when the cardpool legacy has to offer gets really tested and explored for LegacyJund

How you guys feeling about running 2x Mox Diamond? First turn Hymn is DEADLY if you grab a land or 2. Then drop 2nd turn Tarmogoyf. I used this in JUNK for a while. If not getting a Hymn you can still drop a Dark Confidant on turn 1 which is huge. What you guys think?

I think a 1st turn confidant is bad IMO. Better saved for later in the game so he can actually stick to the board. To me Id rather hit a DRS or a thoughtseize T1.

Adding 2x mox diamonds wont even land you a consistant enough 2-drop on turn 1. Its a horrible top deck late game. This deck thrives on 2 for 1's and can dominate from top deck. I think adding chrome mox's go against this strategy.

I can agree a late game draw of a diamond hurts, i know from experience. But a turn 1 hymn is devastating. I'd say 98% of the time i do that i win.

How does this deck stack up against sneak and tell? I've yet to play it.

This deck is pretty resilient. Not many terrible matchups for us. Thoughtseize to take away combo pieces, then you win.

Turn 2 hymn is equally as devastating. Enough to where I don't think any moxen have a place here. Hymn is still a crap shoot since you cant pick the targets. Against reanimator, a turn 1 hymn may be all he needs to kill you, if you pitch his fatties to the yard. A T1 shaman followed by a T2 Tarmogoyf and thoughtseize is probably best case scenario for this deck. Especially if we can hit a BBE on turn 3. Tempo > attrition here IMO. DRS puts you one turn ahead of the curve without using Moxen, but DRS can also fight opponents graveyards, or force opponents to loose a few points of life. I would argue that hymn may not even belong in this deck. Alot of time is seems awkward for me, but I think cabal therapy has fallen out of favor with the current meta. Cascading into a hymn late is pretty crappy. More important I think is your removal package. Here is My Jund List...

Reanimator is a bad matchup for this deck. i say take out IOK in place of a single duress and add another hymn. you need to duress out FOW. IOK does not hit it. and sylwan library? why? IMHO i would rather use SDT or mirri's guile..

4 lily's? i think is too much. IMHO cut it to 3 for another spot removal like terminate.

MB pulse is slow, i'd like terminate in that place.

well, i dont Side surgical, i side Extirpate, it is more effective with a deck that does not run counterspells like us jund.
