27 lands is the right number for a Seismic Assault/Crusher variation, but you really need Seismic over Crusher if you want that many lands i believe. Also, if you are going to play that many lands, consider running more 1 of lands, like Skurrg, Barbarian Ringm, or something like those.

Hey guys, my current build is coming along well, but I'm having trouble getting Mox Diamonds. What build would some of you suggest without it? I have chalices, duals, fetches, confidants, crushers, pulses, etc, and getting goyfs. I DON'T have engineered explosives and diamonds.
Can anyone tell me what they'd run other than Diamonds and Explosives in their place?
Your not in that bad a place without them. You have to abandon the Devastating Dreams and go for more main deck hate. Terminate and Maelstrom Pulse work well, as for Engineered Explosives needs to be added unless you want to use Pernicious Deeds instead. If you can write out a full list you have in mind I can probably help you out a little more.

Also, as I made this post, I won 3 Mox Diamonds on ebay for $80, so, I guess Mox Diamonds are going into my deck. I'm still very interested in seeing a decklist without them.
A list without them would run 3 Pernicious Deed MB along side 2 Maelstrom Pulse and a solo Terminate as the hate engine. No need for Mox if you are going to be Deeding regularly. A build without Chalice (i'll try and edit the link from deckcheck when i find it) has shown to work, His build used Hand hate MB which would fit a Mox-less theme because it would give you some 1cc spells for turn 1.
PS: x3 Seismic Assault is pleny.

I was thinking of a hand hate strategy early in my build, but this was before I was able to get my hands on Moxes. Instead of 2 engineered explosives, what should I run?
It's currently 1 Terravore and 1 Witness. What else could be run there?
i'm just curious, what wish board options have you all tested that are not the norm?
like, do you have secret tech against something you see all the time in a small meta? did you try something that was pretty good, but just didn't cut the mustard?
i stopped playing for many years, so any obscure/non staple card you think might be good against a certain archetype, but not good enough for a competitive/large meta.... thats what i'm looking for.
1.) Anyone who thinks cancel is viable should be shot. in the face. with a hammer.
2.) You misunderstand, what I was suggesting was the total exclusion of Spellstutter Sprite, because it just isnt that good anymore.
3.) Understand, Dredge is not really a Magic: The Gathering deck. When a card is playable in it, it doesn't mean it's a tournament playable card. It means it's playable in whatever crazy fantasy world that Dredge operates in.
I have found that Rite of Consumption as a SB Wish target is a great finisher with a fatty on the field.
PS: Tested Deed a little, unless you are going to take out the Chalices, and Moxes, you hurt yourself more than your opponent 3/4 times. Taking our Chalice for Trinisphere worked, however it slowed down the deck a little too much for my taste. Deed with hand hate instead of Chalice seemed to be the fastest and strongest route. Raven's Crime became very useful. There were a few other hand hates i tried out, almost none were bad.

Crime/Punishment is a good option over EE. The only downside is it doesn't have the same synergy with Dark Confidant as EE but other than that it's the same thing as long as you have a good mana base and usualy have a green and black mana available. It's better than the deed since it destroys cards with a cmc of your choice and allows you to leave your moxes and chalices.
The list is finer tuned. Plays faster and has been giving me some awesome hands. I pretty much never have to mulligan and rarely do I top deck something that I do not want to see. In the interests of sparking conversation back into this thread, feel free to comment.

I really like your new list, I see you dropped terravore altogether. I cut down to two but was also considering dropping him. Only thing I think I would change is putting in one more EE and throwing that Maelstrom to the SB for that 15th slot open. Do you often times prefer a pulse to EE?
There is supposed to be a Maelstrom Pulse in the SB and that was one of the reasons why I have been having so much more success. The Pulse is the "right now answer" to something and EE is usually the reset button. Having both main board and one as a wish target has just been crazy helpful. There are in fact many many times I do prefer the Pulse instead of an Engineered Explosives, these are almost always times when I want to swing for a win. EE'ing at 2 to clear the way kills my own Goyfs ;( While Pulse simply does the same thing but in a more flexible way. By no means though would I consider dropping below 2 EE (and after tests) having less than 2 EE to answer stupid stuff like Dredge or 43 Land hurts and Pulse is something that in games where people side out their EEs because perhaps there aren't a lot of things to blow, I find myself keeping the Pulse because its almost always good.
About the Terravore, yes I cut him. I cadded up the damage over several games against various decks and found that, Terravore hit for more damage every time but was so infrequent that after cutting him, the ammount of speed I gained was silly. Lets not forget that Crusher doesn't get smaller after a Relic. And Goyf doesnt become 0/0 to Relic. The fact that he Tramples and the other beaters didn't was fixed with the addition of Skarrg, the Rage Pits. I would like to add, when you are in a Goyf vs Goyf standoff, Skarrg can be a game breaker.

Only reason I would cut terravore completely would be if you're facing a lot of relics because crypt can't remove both graveyards. If they crypt your graveyard it hurts kind of depending on how much lands they have which they should if they have any kind of fetches or nonbasics that have gotten wasted by wasteland. But yeah skarrg makes up for terravore's trampling over which was the only advantage to running terravore because it could trample over for a lot of damage without getting chump blocked like crusher does. And skarrg is really quite elegant in that you can dredge it with loam and use it the same turn possibly whereas terravore needs to be gotten back with stronghold, drawn, then casted so it needs at least one turn to deal damage whereas you can play skarrg, attack with crusher or goyf or something, then give it trample and +1/+1 is quite nice in goyf wars.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
its no different than a turn 0 relic in alot of respects. All decks that abuse Dredge need answers to cards like that, Aggro loam gets to use Burning Wish to help make sure you get answers faster.
I would also like to add that the deck can beat your face without abusing the loam, its just ALOT faster with Loaming action.

It has never really been a problem for me to be honest. I don't know if its because who/what I was up against but, I just play like I normally would and Pulse the Enchantment as soon as I see an answer for it. My first few turns are almost always pretty similar anyways, Turn 1 Bob/Chalice, Turn 2 Wish if possible, after that, I am pulsing and will start my assault. If you can get a DD in there it can make it a game over as usual. (lets not forget I pop in 3 Krosan Grips from the SB so getting Wish/Grip/Pulse by turn 3 is not really that hard and there is almost nothing in the GY at that time anyhow.

I hope the back to back post is ok considering the amount of time in between posts.
I have been running my Aggro Loam list (its posted in first post in the primer) and been loving it but its Sideboard was developed for an already established meta. What I would like to hear from people about is what kind of sideboard should I run if I am going to a big event in a different city where I am not going to be sure what their meta will be filled with?
Note: I prefer running burning wish. That being said, If you have a wish-less sideboard feel free to post that up too so that I can get some more ideas. Thanks-

I'm just gathering the cards for this deck, and was wondering about any thoughts concerning Living Wish. Keeping like a single Wasteland, Bojuka Bog or Maze of Ith in the board for key situations, and alternatively having a Knight of the Reliquary or something else big and angry in the board to help? Or is this card too slow/clunky/whatever?
Im a huge fan of wish-boards, due to the ability to 'sideboard' game 1, and to help adapt to possible sides of opponents. Is it too much to ask for both Burning Wish AND Living Wish?
On another note, is Summoner's Pact or any other tutors worthwhile? I've only tested lightly online, and have been frustrated when I've not quite hit my stride.
The reason i'm asking is i recently beat this deck in a tourni with a Price of Progress, both games. I still loved how the deck operates, so im wondering if you have any suggestions against PoP or other severe hate. Such as Back to Basics.
Thanks!
