Would you rather play around Blood Moon that cripples all your non-basic lands or would you rather play around Blood Sun that let's you have access to your mana producing lands?
I'd much rather play around Blood Sun - which is exactly why it's a much worse card. Opponents will have an easier time playing around it.
In addition to our beloved Lands deck, Blood Moon totally screws Eldrazi, Infect, and every 3 or 4 colour goodstuff deck in the format. Blood Sun is a far less crippling card, and therefore there is far less incentive to play it at all.
I would love it if people would drop Blood Moon for Blood Sun in their SBs.
Oops, yes. I forgot about Confluence. I was thinking of Lands like Blood Crypt when I wrote that. My point still stands though.
Blood Crypt is still worse than a dual land. Do you think people are going to jam clunky lands into their deck in hopes to always have a 3cc enchantment on the field to mitigate the drawback?
Having 4x Blood Sun in your deck is not a good reason to run a manabase that will otherwise be destroyed by Wasteland and/or give the game to a faster aggro deck.
Maybe some Moon Stompy list will get a little cheeky with a singleton Lotus Vale or a Ravnica bounce land. But that's assuming they can justify allocating deck space for 4 more (less disruptive) Moon variants. What would a stock Moon Stompy list cut for these?

What are you going on about?! I never said anyone should be running lands worse than ABUR Duals. What I'm merely saying is that Sun doesn't completely dismantle greedy manabases like Moon does. If I had a choice to face Sun over Moon, I would pick Sun. Sun means I don't have to worry about digging out my non-basics to get rid of it.
I also never said Lands should play Sun. Only that it's easier to play around Sun instead of playing around Moon.
I agree with you. I think you're reading my post out of context here.
Playing as the legacy member of my team in cincinnati coming up this month. Playing lands of course, probably going with Sparki's lost from his last Channel fireball event.
Interested in SB options though guys, I see more and more lists running Drop of Honey in the SB, I imagine this is for the rampant Delver decks.
I'm interested in knowing everyone's current SB's. I expect the meta in Cincinnati to be a little different because of the team aspect, but I still expect to face mostly Delver in the legacy portion with possibly an uptick in DnT and Eldrazi due to not conflicting cards with Modern as much.
Yeah sideboarding is one of the most complex things with this deck.
I also have some Questions about this. Recently i saw some people adding a single song of the dryads to their sideboard, what is the purpose of this card? My point of view: It dodges Sanctum Prelate, and Counterbalance on cmc2, it catches Planeswalker. but is this really more worth than just having another krosan grip? Yeah and somehow it also dodges surgical extraction
I don't know what to think about this.
Another card i am having trouble with is trinisphere, why is trinisphere better than another sphere effect? SPheres and trinisphere does not stack on each other and trinisphere is one mana more which is a HUGE difference. What matchup is trinisphere for exactly?
So i like having chalice of the void to gamble for it T1 to throw it on storm players for "0" and i like to board it in against decks that bring surgical extraction from the sideboard. Sphere of resistance is for combo and Control, 3/1 split because of Cabal Therapie, i'm trying to figure out where trinisphere is best for at the moment otherwhise it would be a 3 tireless tracker or Thorn of amethyst. Choke is for Miracles und everything else midrange U style. crucible of worlds for Loam hate, normaly i always run 3 loam 1 crucible after board. and Tomb yeah... for combo and haterocks.
I always board tracker in when i know my enemy has good answers to the token or when i know i need a fast clock or CA and the token will probably not be enough. Tracker ist also good to dodge GY hate on loam etc. because you can just draw another combo, or enough stupid lands to buy yourself time to set up enough CA to overrun the enemy with all the tools lands has. casting p-fire all alone under a rest in peace when it was a free tracker draw ist still CA somewhow. I really would like to make space for a third tracker in the board, this card even rocks under a blood moon and when you have 2 or 3 they even get better and let you draw more of your SB cards.
When you expect the decks you mentioned i would probably go with two drop of honey instead of choke. I also like to board in trackers against the decks you mentioned.
Currently I'm sitting with this:
4 Krosan Grip
4 Sphere of Resistance
3 Tireless Tracker
And had 4 open spots I was debating on. Although our modern player had to back out so we found another player that mainly plays legacy so I'm playing Modern now in cinci.
Played in an Eternal Weekend Trial last weekend.
5 rounds of Swiss then a top 4.
R1) Dredge - 2-1W.
Game one Dredge did dredge things. Game two I sided in Trackers and KReturn and Bojuka Bog. I swung with a Tracker and then cast KReturn and managed to exile all 4 bridges. Next turn I flooped Lage and killed him. G3 I had a turn 2 Lage and killed him faster than he could go off.
R2) Burn - 0-2L.
Price of Progress is a hell of a card. He saw 2 in each game.
R3) Unexpected Show - 2-0W.
Like Eureka Show but using Unexpected Results instead of Eureka. I flooped faster than he did G1, G2 went long enough that I ended up paying the 30 mana for a Lage.
R4) D&T - 2-1W.
Game one I Wasted his plateau, quartered his Karakas, played a Tabernacle then dredged a Loam that had 2 more wastes and a Quarter and he saw the writing on the wall and scooped. Game 2 he curved perfectly and had a path for my Lage. Game 3 I had a KReturn to clear the Flickerwisps out of the way for my Lage.
R5) 4c Control/Delver 0-0-3 ID
Draw into top 4. Played for fun and he dominated me.
Top 4: Same opponent as R5. 2-1W
Game one I flipped quickly, G2 he tempoed until Tombstalker killed me, G3 went long and the turn I flooped he could only get me down to one or himself up to 20 with the Deathrites. Either way he lost.
Finals: UBRg Delver. Went to G3 and I didn't float a mana from a land I sacced to Rotate which got Dazed. Then I Gambled and he picked the card I needed. Then he top decks the Diabolic Edict.
I love this deck so much. A little tighter plays and I will be set for Eternal Weekend.
I've moved mostly to the lands discord at this point, but as of the past couple months I've top 8'ed every Channelfireball $2k and $4k and got 9th at GP Seattle. List feels really solid.
Edict effects were very popular with black being the predominant color in legacy with DRS. Making multiple factories to fight control decks via stage or to simply have a body to sacrifice was very useful. It's since been cut post-ban.
I just made and bought a budget lands deck for kitchen top legacy. I'm scared to post more about it because of the unicode warning wont let me post very frequently and this looks like it will post.
deck looks fun for kitchen table, I would suggest you use Crop Rotation and Gamble as these cards help you get the cards you want from your deck and recur the lands in the graveyard. Avarice Totem is a cute card but it really only benefits by you being able to activate it twice in the same turn or sacrificing it in response to its trigger. I have been using Grove of the Burnwillows and Punishing Fire for creature and player removal. Pendrell Mists seems to expensive to use, since you'll be dead against an aggro deck anyways, maybe use settle the wreckage instead.
Has anyone decided if which of the channel lands from Neon Dynasty they will use? they seem to be better replacements then the odyssey lands Cephalid Coliseum and Barbarian Ring. I think Boseiju, Who Endures will be main boardable and even Sokenzan, Crucible of Defiance can be game ending material. Otawara, Soaring City seems like it could be a good anti-reanimator, might be a little costly though which is the concern I have with it. I know we don't generally run legendary creatures which would cause the discount, but since we can fish them out and recur them I think they are very valuable.
Im running an old version of this deck, haven't updated in years but looking to add some upgrades from Neon Dynasty at least.

5) RG Lands 2-0

I got lucky stealing games from sneak and ANT, so I’ll tske it.
