Thanks guys about the feedback! I'd be curious to see your list Iso, I've been on the Cerberus plan myself last year for a couple of months, but didn't like the feels of it. You're on the Belcher sideboard?
The sideboard I'd be willing to play out would be Helm of Obedience and Leyline of the Void : combo out the same way as Belcher for the same mana!
Hey, can I ask how much better the Cerberus build is compared to the Angel Azami build?
I understand that you get one extra slot etc but does that make it any more consistent?
Also, is the Belcher sideboard the 100% best way to go? I'm 2 LED's short otherwise I have all the cards needed for tye sideboard and for either build, I just haven't played or seen the Cerberus build in action for myself.

I love Helm of Obedience + Leyline of the Void combo! Never thought of running it in this deck. What other 7 cards would you run in the sideboard with these?
I'm currently on the Belcher sideboard but this looks a lot more fun!

About Underworld Cerberus, he works with Street Wraith builds more and I'm advocating for Gitaxian Probe instead. I'm also more comfortable with the resiliency of the Azami / Laboratory Maniac combo and I don't feel that it wastes a slot in the main 60. The sequencing is more complex and more things can go worn in a meta with Stiffle or Trickbind, even Daze / FoW.
About the transformational sideboard, Belcher is really mainstream and people know about it : Helm + Leyline is really the same thing, but doesn't face the same graveyard hate. I'd say that 7 extra slots should squeeze in extra protection against hate (Nature's Claim, Ancient Grudge), countermagic protection (Pact of Negation or even Mindbreak Trap if Pact is already maindecked) and some flex spots for the meta. For reference, my list right now for tournaments :
Thanks a lot Tom, your main is pretty much the same as mine except I don't have bridge in mine yet though although I'd like to run one when I get hold of one.
Thanks for the sideboard tip, I've been running the belcher list but would prefer to run Helm of Obedience Leyline list.
I mainboard Chancellor of the Annex's instead of my Pacts but am tempted to put Pacts in instead... not sure. I like having the ability to counter their first spell and then put the Chancellor on a Chrome Mox.
I'm thinking for my sideboard
4 Leyline of the Void
4 Helm of Obedience
1 Ray of Revelation*
1 Ancient Grudge*
4 Leyline of Sanctity
1 of something else... 1 LED?
*I like the opportunity for flashback on these if needed
I really really want to do Bounding Krasis and Splinter Twin because the Krasis is fetchable off Summoners Pact lol

Got to try the Helm of Obedience board at an fnm last Friday. It was fantastic!
My only trouble was I only had 3 helms which didn't let me down right until the final round where I couldn't dig the helm from the deck. Was undefeated prior to then though so I'm not fussed at all!
Probably going to chuck in two or three Recross the Paths instead of getting a fourth helm.
Could even go 1 or 2 helm 4 recross the paths?

Great news! I'd say that 4 Helm and 4 Leyline is a must. It's really my go-to sideboard and I've seen that the Belcher sideboard is getting more popular lately, All Spells winning an event in Europe I think and having top 8 also in December in this month too. So you migh want to try Recross the Paths, but Helm is stronger!
If I can get a 4th helm then I'll run all 4 but I'm probably going to try 2 recross the paths and have 5 hate cards whatever they will be.
What I can to do with my led's now is a mystery! Bye bye belcher

Hi, been digging through cards trying to find cards to put together some of my old decks but I've forgotten so much so I've been lurking for a week now and I recently found this thread and realized I have almost all the cards for it. I'm short both the cabals, the chrome moxes and manamorphose. Which should I prioritize first in acquiring. Im guessing ritual, therapy, mox, then manamorphose, in that order.
I have TONS of modern cards too, so if there's any replacements from that format that can act as a substitute there's a good chance I have it or have a friend that I can trade with. Thanks
I don't think prioritizing one over the other particularly matters; the deck is basically unplayable without all the pieces. I run multiples of Dread Return in case I get one in my opening hand but can also pull off the win (because you really can't cast it without Flashback). I swapped out my 3rd Cabal Therapy for Bridge From Below so that I can get a second shot at Dread Return if my first one gets countered and got good results from that.
On that note, I just updated my own list on the previous page. I did some testing at a tournament and found the results to be better than what I previously had.

therapy was a 2-of in the original list; the underground cerberus finisher required a third copy to be able to save one to sacrifice the cerberus itself.
i had some limited experience with the deck, but unmask worked wonders. that would be my suggestion.
Mm; I still only use 2 Therapies in my build (I play high-risk, high-reward). Unmask might be a good swap, though it requires more cards in your hand than the current version, which makes it a lot less consistent and a lot more situational.

There's really no downside to Gharna over Cerberus, you can still run Therapy if you want but if you draw all your Therapies you can still win.
If you don't want to run Street Wraith, Conflagrate is an alternative to Laboratory Maniac. Get all your creatures into your hand, use Simian Spirit Guides to flash it back discarding the rest of your hand.
