Has anyone tested versions with Omniscience instead of Sneak Attack? Omniscience seems a lot better than Dream Halls, which a lot of the comparisons have mentioned, since it doesn't potentially benefit your opponent as well. Plus you get the hard-cast benefits of Eldrazi with Omniscience...
I get the whole hard cast thing, since a 4 drop > 10 drop any day of the week, but are there any other thoughts? The deck with omniscience seems incredibly powerful if built correctly. It also can't be Pithe'd or Stifle'd, for what it's worth...
I want to vomit whenever I see this logic being followed.
Omniscience is not a replacement for Sneak Attack exactly because you can play Sneak Attack with mana. You cannot with Omniscience.
Is it more powerful? Sure!
Is it more consistent? Nope!
That's all the argument comes down to. Omniscience fits into a Show & Tell/ Dream Halls deck much better than S&T/Sneak Attack deck.

Why do people have Guilded Drake in the sideboard? To steal creatures in game 2 from control decks if you fail the combo because they sided out all their removal?
Or to beat mirror matches with Show and Tell?
Guilded Drake does not beat the mirror. Through the Breach is the card that beats the mirror.
You should also have Blue Blasts for the mirror. Not to mention Blue Blast can hit aggressive red decks that can race you. Those Goblin Guides can be scary and an early Blue Blast can be 1-2 extra turns.
Decks like Stoneblade and even Goblins(!) pack Gilded Drakes because they think they can cheat them in when someone else casts Show and Tell. Gilded Drake obviously fails hard if you're on Hive Mind/Dream Halls/Omniscience instead (fails extremely hard against Dream Halls's Progenitus and fails pretty hard against Omniscience into Emrakul/Griselbrand).
Gilded Drake also pinches big stuff like Knight of the Reliquary and Reanimator's men (a lot of them are Griselbrands--they must expect a lot of Sneak Show) to boot.
Now, as for why Sneak Show players would have Gilded Drakes in the board...I'm not entirely sure. Perhaps they can be hardcast if a Show and Telled fatty sneaks through?
Been playing the deck pretty consistently since the end of April, and with good results. Only exception is the RuG match up. Any opinions to help shore up the match?
It seems like G1 is really draw dependent, as a fast clock, plus the damage self inflicted favors them, but if you can get an aggressive start the tables are turned. Games 2 and 3 are seeming to be more and more in RUGs favor.
Currently boarding in 2 blast effects as additional counters and depending on win/loss in G1 and draw/play blood moons. These really seem slow tho currently.
Has anyone tried out Defense Grid or maybe back to the older lists with Trinisphere in the side? I guess Chalice of the Void could be viable, but it sort of neuters our card drawing also.
Or is this match up just really that bad that there is nothing that can be done to improve it post board?
I would say RUG is unfavorable due to the amount of countermagic and disruption they run. Also, Reanimator is usually 1 turn faster than Sneak and Show so that one can be rough as well. And look out for Karakas-running decks. I actually maindecked 3 Karakas in my zoo deck last week and beat Sneak and Show round 1 and 3 and beat reanimator round 2. Lost round 4 to Esper Stoneblade....Karakas didn't help me

Couldn't help but notice Overmaster saw mainboard play in the GenCon's Champion deck. You guys have any thoughts on it?
I was going to ask the same question. I was planning on bringing a Sneak n Show build to a tourny this weekend. Has anyone done any testing with the overmaster version?

I have tested it, replacing Flusterstorm, and the only upside is really that it cantrips in matchups where counters aren't relevant.
Overmaster is a great card. Not only can you throw them away at Maverick players.
But you can throw them at blue players. With all the Dazes and Spell Pierces in the format, you have the option to not fight and just pay the mana and draw a card. Its at least better than Spell Pierce in this scenario.
I am playing this deck for a month now. I am wondering how to sideboard against specific decks because i dont know what to take out on specific match ups.
My field is RUG Delver, UR Delver, UW Control and Maverick.
An off-topic answer to an off-topic question, but I highly suspect Omniscience.dec's current high popularity (and performance) is what is drawing people away from Dream Halls. Omniscience.dec is simply more consistent and retains the same insta-kill that should not die to Stifle (that often, anyway, compared to Hive Mind).
Have a Conflux in hand, you need to search for 1 of 4 Dream Halls in Dream Halls. Have a Burning Wish in hand, you need to search for 1 of 8 cards in Omniscience.dec. It's sadly that simple.
I was thinking that at first but the deck just wishes for petals of insight than storms infinite for the win.
I seen a few more lists that run REB instead. It is better bc misdirection is a card
Decks that run Misdirection are usually not worried about a REB/Pyroblast hitting their permanents. Thus, they'd be misdirecting a blast targeting their spell (Show and Tell, for example). Both REB and Pyroblast can target Misdirection just fine.
The reasons to run either are marginal. Pyroblast can hit Phantasmal Images and is slightly more susceptible to Misdirection, neither of which is particular relevant against Sneak Show.
If I was running 4 blasts, I'd split between the two, to be more resilient in the off chance they surgically extract or Meddling Mage one... though neither of those are likely.
Other than that, I think the general advice is to sleeve up whatever you have in black borders.
hi guys, im playing this deck for a month now and im having a hard time playing against RUG.. is this really a bad MU for us? if my meta is full of RUG is it not advisable to play sneak show? what can we do to improve post board? thanks!
How viable is the deck currently? Seems like it hasn't been making any top 8 finishes or even top 16 in the past few big tournaments. Is it due to hate or are the matchups really bad against the current top decks?
