Hi everyone, I started playing magic a month or two ago and I've been thinking of a deck idea for about a week now. I sort of have an idea for what I want it to be (casting stuff from the graveyard with twilight's call) and also from the library (aetherwork marvel) but it seems very sloppy. Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!
Err, well.
I guess what you should do is have a look at the types of decks people play in Legacy, and how quick they are. Check out say, Sneak and Show and BR reanimator videos. Then you have an idea of how fast decks can kill in the format- realistically t2/3 consistently. After that have a look at some of the midrange decks e.g. Jund or more common BUG, plus tempo decks like RUG delver. These are t4/5 but you can see the measures they employ to win.
All decks that are not doing such things need to be able to deal with them.

Decks have to control what the opponents do in the format- that means specifically Force of Will, Daze and Spell Pierce as counterspells, Swords to Plowshares and Lightning Bolt for removal, 1 and 2 cc hand destruction- Thoughtseize, Inquisition of Kozilek and Hymn to Tourach or prison cards that tax everyones' efficient 1cc spells like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben or simply counter them like Chalice of The Void.
There are a number of decks that run fast acceleration- check out Ancient Tomb and City of Traitors plus Mox Diamond, and a lot of decks interfere with mana- Wasteland and Blood Moon being the most famous examples.
Your deck basically does not have these types of cards, bar Counterspell itself (which does get some play), and this is why you will have difficulty in winning a game- a t3 Propaganda does not look too good against a t3 Grisselbrand or Emrakul, for example.
CFB and SCG often produce articles meant as Legacy primers, these should be your starting point....
