Quote from Hezekai »Hey! I'm curious about Legacy and would like to find a deck that will interest me. I have so many questions about the meta! However, I'll try not to ask them here I'm looking for something that fits with my play style rather than what pieces I own, I don't mind buying into the format a little (but overlap with what I have would be nice!). I play Command a fair amount but I have mostly been playing Modern for quite some time now and the competitive decks that I've played (and still have some pieces of) are the following:
Could anyone please direct me towards a deck that has a blend of creatures and spells in a tempo/aggro-control fashion? I definitely like swinging in and I also like countering things. Something non-linear would be nice, combo is an option if it is perhaps akin to what Twin used to be like when it wasn't banned in modern (is that deck even played in this format?). I also really like fair decks but I have no idea what kind of viability strategies have here, any help would be great!
Quote from Keratoc »Hi,
I played Standard and Modern for a while and always preferred more control focused decks. So far i was most interested in control, tempo and combo decks. After watching a few Legacy videos on Youtube i got really interested in the format.
Blue is pretty much a must. Brainstorm, Ponder and FoW should be included and i want to play sth with a high skillcap, as it will probably be me my only Legacy deck. Price is not an issue cause i'm only playing on mtgo and duals are affordable.
It doesn't matter if the deck is difficult to play or requires knowledge of the format, as i'm willing to suffer through it. I already have Snapcaster, Ancestral Vision and a lot of blue, black and white modern stuff.
I would flavor wise prob tend to sth like bug, but even there are so many possibilities
Thanks in advance

just tried out WeaponX (bdi parfait) decklist for an online tournament. went undefeated even though I never used it before. this deck is real. O.o
Quote from hurlman81 Thanks for all your help on this everyone, especially WeaponX. I think he may be one of the more under appreciated brewers in the community.
Quote from Heaven_lord »Hi, I would like to enter in the format and I tested some decks on cockatrice and I am currently hesitating betwin these 3 decks:
- Uw helmet control
Which one is the most competitive in the atcual meta? Thanks !!
Quote from Talore »Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero
Quote from Stardust »Because he's the hero MTGS deserves, and the one it needs right now. So we'll global him. Because he can take it. Because he's not just our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. An expired rascal.
Quote from LuckNorris »ExpiredRascals you sir are a god-like hero.
Quote from Lanxal »ER is a masterful god who cannot be beaten in any endeavour.
Quote from votan »:ER:, you suck as a hero
Quote from Shockwave07 »New to Legacy, and recently started on mtgo.
I like playing control, tempo, or aggro decks, but will play almost anything.
Budget is an issue, as it may take some time for me to build a $100 dollar deck. Suggestions what to play or build towards are welcome.
Quote from tweedls »Hey guys, new to building a legacy deck, however I've played with several borrowed decks in several weekly tournaments. I'm selling out of a decent amount of modern decks for a legacy deck potentially and I'd like advice on what to build. I enjoy grindy games as I play control decks and GBx decks in modern with the most enjoyment. I was thinking UW landstill or maybe jund, I'd enjoy reccommendations!
Quote from KriggY »Hey guys, Im thinking about getting into legacy. I played commander only (DC20/leviathan) for long time but I dont have large collection of cards. Im also limited by budget - not that big limit but there is some.
I cant decide between dredge or UR delver.
The thing is, that for dredge I cant afford to get LEDs and for delver I cant get volcanics/FoW (have one of each for my commander decks so I can use those). I realy cant decide, playstyle wise it seems UR delver is more fit for me while dredge just have the feeling of legacy deck and doing unfair things that you cant realy do in other formats
Quote from Riomhaire »Hey everyone, I'm going to a Team Constructed event in April and besides some experience on Cockatrice/Xmage, I'm new to the format. I've only got about $1500 to drop on the deck, and I was leaning towards a Nic Fit list based around Birthing Pod, but then I remembered that Kolaghan's Command ruined one of my best matchups. I've also been looking into Maverick, but I'm not sure if the playstyle is one I'd like. What deck should I play?
