MTG Salvation

I debated for a while which BR legend to make to complete my commander rainbow, and while I looked at Olivia and Kaervek, eventually I realized Grenzo would give me what I really like about the color combination. Lots of really cool, small, efficient dudes who affect the battlefield in big ways despite a small body and often low cost. Dudes like dragonmaster outcast, viashino heretic, dark imposter, and bone dancer. And the other thing I love about black specifically is all the great instant-speed removal it has available to it.

Grenzo gives me both of those in a great package. Just cast Grenzo for 2-3, then draw-go all day. EOT, activate the crap out of Grenzo. Once you've got some dudes onto the battlefield, they can start to take over the responsibilities of your removal spells, and to move you towards an endgame with token swarm while locking down people's hands.

Possibly, although it's not an instant and it's not a creature, and it's not feasibly recurrable, which means it's competing for a pretty tight spot in the deck.

Cool deck design! I'm putting together Grenzo and I think I'll try something similar because I love draw-go style decks. I think Sangromancer would be good in your build with all the discard and removal.

Sangromancer would gain a lot of life potentially. I was in the possibilities list, but I've just never been a big fan of lifegain. I tried to keep the 3-power dudes to a minimum in case you have to play krenko for 2.
