Quote from Solemn SimulatorThat's what Magic is about, after all. A game of poker. With dragons.
Quote from TheScaleI would think about Eternal Witness and Corrosive Gale.
Quote from MiffedMoogleYou could run Desert without adversely affecting your mana base, which will also harm weenie based strategies.
Beast Hunt seems like it would fit right in for getting more big guys to use to draw more cards.
Have you considered Skyshroud's Claim as well? It is one of best rampers and they come into play untapped.
It looks like a fun deck.
Quote from inschoProvoke is a handy piece of removal....especially good in multiplayer, and it cantrips
As is lace with moonglove
Quote from MiffedMoogleWell, Desert is simple, remove a Forest and Wild Growth doesn't seem overly powerful, so could come out for Skyshroud's Claim. Vastwood Zendikon doesn't trigger with your general, so maybe it for last.
Quote from maelaraelI love how awesomely brutal your deck is ! I will build one like that once really ^^ !
IMO, i'll add :
- Fortitude and/or Broken Fall as a ""protection"" for the General => replace Tumble Magnet (IMO ^^)
- Oakgnarl Warrior => replace Grizzled Outcast. If you draw like cray, you'll play a lot of spells and if not, your opponent will make sure this creature never stays 7/7 long enough (trust me, i played a lot with him and i found it really underwhelming).
- Thresher Beast => replace Fangren Marauder because i think that it's a reaaaally underpowered 5/5.
Then you should replace Harrow with Skyshroud Claim, it's clearly superior in your build ^^.
I'm a little sceptic about Maul Splicer. I know, it makes you draw 2 (all and all, the card advantage it provides in your deck is awesome i'll admit) but the cost is really, really high... I think you should try the Provoke instead (mentioned above) because it is almost a removal and it cantrips... Well, i'm not really 'sure' of it, you should test yourself ^^.
Quote from MrFloppylignify is a beautiful auto include in all my green decks.
utopia vow is also considerable since you're going mono green.
Crushing vines always finds a target.
Reap and sow can blow up a land or search for desert should the need arise.
evolution charm is useful for all kinds of situations.
vines of vastwood[/CARD], ranger's guile, and sheltering word are all great protection for creatures.
bladed pinions, cobbled wings, and kitesail are good for evasion/dealing with flyers.
monstrify is great for using up your endgame lands.
Quote from Hunding GjornersenFor the mana base I would definitely add in Slippery Karst, Tranquil Thicket, and Haunted Fengraf to keep the cards flowing. Jackalope Herd may be good, too.
Quote from jdow30Any updates on the decklist? Especially with the new Modern Masters commons?
