Hi,
I have never made a commander deck before. This is the one I am currently going for. I am mainly playing with friends, and trying to keep the price relatively low. I am looking for any advice on what I should change with the deck I have built. The main idea of it is to get powerful creatures out on the board, alongside some useful spells.
Thanks!
I always find it kind of hard to give advice when decks are organized by card type rather than function. For instance, a question I had when looking at your decklist was: how much ramp are you running? But that's really hard to figure out looking at the decklist when the ramp is scattered between sorcery, creature, artifact, and even enchantment.
The main thing I'd say to do is have a plan, ramp-wise. Given your commander, I'd focus on cmc 1 and cmc 3 ramp - which means mostly mana dorks like llanowar elves, and 3-mana ramp like worn powerstone. Run a bunch of each of those - with some of the better 2-drop ramp too is fine, but basically plan to get to 5 mana on turn 3 so you can start dropping creatures.
As far as cuts, cut all the low-impact, low-cost creatures. As long as you're going to dedicate a lot of slots to ramp, you should make sure your non-ramp cards are high impact to make sure you don't run out juice. champion of lambholt, for example, is a good 3-drop. Noggle Bandit is not. Same for boggart ram-gang. They just aren't going to scale to the late-game effectively (while lamchamp will do fine).
