Quote from ISBPathfinder »I know that Mana Crypt is an amazing card but this deck seems like it needs sooooooooooo much colored mana I question if it really fits here. I would almost rather see one of the discard / exile moxen / Gemstone Caverns instead I would think. I almost committed the blasphemy of asking if Sol Ring fits here but I am not ready to go that far lol.
Primal Amulet - hummmmm thats probably a good idea. I might have to run that myself.
Thermopod - would it be better to just have Phyrexian Altar? I am just thinking it saves you a few mana and its usually a little less fragile not to mention it fixes better.
Thalia's Lancers - I see....... 3 targets for this? I guess I don't know how much of a focus you have on getting Godo but the other two could be fetched by Goblin Matron which would save some mana and maybe open a slightly different package for you. Just a thought I guess, I ended up cutting it from mine because I didn't feel like I had enough targets and or need for it. I guess it depends on how much priority you have in tutoring those few legends but I would like to see the pool deepened potentially if you keep it. The idea of paying 11 mana to tutor Sunforger into play and still need to equip it seems kind of crazy expensive if you ask me.
Quote from Rumpy5897 »It's fun to look at all the Feather lists spawning, people balancing different levels of instant shenanigans versus ETB value.
I can confirm Paradox Engine is pretty cute in the deck when it gets going. Isochron Scepter is also quite cool, as you can put whatever thing you'd be more likely to lose without an elaborate assisting setup underneath it and milk value from it, and then if you get enough rocks and the Engine it just does a stupid and the game typically ends. Unwinding Clock is a tamer version of that, but still pretty solid value.
I'm not sure if you're on the lookout for instants, but I've gotten good mileage out of one drop protection stuff that scries. Gods Willing and Sheltering Light can stand in for cantrips and help dig to something useful while offering reusable shielding.
Some people will play a number of color protection spells in their Feather decks, but these will always be inferior to the exile cards, unless you are using them maybe aggressively for combat damage.
Sunforger is often the first target for opponents removal (as it should be). But what makes it so good in a Feather deck is that we can search and cast Apostle's Blessing to protect against removal, and then Feather ability allows us to recover it. Meaning that you'll have Apostle's Blessing to keep protecting it.

However, I gravitated towards a Guttersnipe'y cast spam variant, so there's also that.

Quote from dhannum »What do you see as wincons? I’m brewing feather and using pump spells and double strike to either kill with Feather or kill with tokens if I can find Zada/Mirrorwing. Reusable burn spells is a third (harder) way to win. I love the blink value theme but how will you win?
Quote from Feralex1472 »Have you considered Restoration Angel over possibly Flickerwisp? I think the flash + extra kiki-jiki combo piece makes it edge it out. Or even just both, cutting something else.
Quote from DementedKirby »No Panharmonicon?
Quote from Pappy »Love the deck idea.
About Panharmonicon I think it is more fine in here than any other blink deck, besides your brago one, because you get a free creature off Priest of Urabrask and Hatcher so you don't have to worry about setting up a whole turn to do things and just play a flicker card with this.
Quote from TheFrigidMidget »Nice deck list, seems fairly similar to the one I've been crafting. I've been trying to find room for Flameshadow Conjuring to truly double double down on the etbs with Panharmonicon.
Have you found Lumbering Battlement to be useful at all? I've been meaning to test it but it just seems like it'll be too slow for my meta.
Edit: Also have you thought of adding in Press into Service as part of the theft package? I'm running that and have added in Restoration Angel to see if permanent theft is any better than temp theft.
Quote from TeraInferno »darrenhabib, have you done any goldfishing with the deck? If so, what is the earliest reliable turn where you are able to kill one or more players?
Quote from Rumpy5897 »Huh. Maybe my more dig-happy ways are why I actually find Pengine/Clock to work without a hitch. Good to see you upping the cantrip quota, those work well. You're missing Heal from the one drops. I'm a bit confused by the Keldon Firebombers - you just admit in the post above that ETB land get flicking is pretty good, and then you add that while trimming your rock population. I'm considerably confused by the Rule of Law variants, but maybe they work better here as you're not quite as focused at shredding casts as I am.
Quote from Rumpy5897 »If you're dipping into hatebears, go full ham and run Aven Mindcensor and Linvala, Keeper of Silence. Both would work well here.
