Hope has once again been found. As the piercing rays of sunlight glitter across the horizon, salvation is at hand for all those who look to her. As for her enemies, beware....
It’s time for a meta-change. Gisela, Blade of Goldnight has been a fun and fantasic deck, however in my meta she is now targeted, stolen, or copied far too often for me to play her reliably – due to her oppressive boardstate ability. Sticking with the angel theme, I’ve decided to run back mono-white with Lyra Dawnbringer leading the charge.
With Lyra at the forefront, this deck will be an obvious angel tribal deck with a focus on lifegain to offset the slowness of the build. I’ll still run some pillowfort in the early game so that I can establish presence in the mid-game and then dominate through aggro in the end-game. For the most part, I’m thinking this deck is going to be for casual play only.
All my decks adhere to these guidelines:
1) Be able to win.
2) Be mostly true to a flavor and a theme.
3) Be good against one or multiple opponents.
5) Be fun to pilot or to play against and interactive.
6) Have multiple paths to victory.
7) Have lots of cool interactions and synergy.
8) Play out differently every game to keep it fun over a long time.
9) Be streamlined and fast to play without excessive upkeep, time-consuming play or overcomplicated boardstates.
10) Integrate the Commanders abilities into the strategy at least a little, but be able to win without ever playing the commander.
The number in front of the card will denote CMC of the creature/spell.
Angelic Accord - your commander easily triggers it and its cheap money wise. Resplendent Angel is very similar and also good but if excluding it for money reasons I understand, it should drop in price next year.
Magus of the Moat - it can slow down opponen'ts gameplans and really doesn't stop much on your side. Moat is good too but..... I assume its outside of one's budget if not already in a white angel list.
Archangel of Thune - good solid buffer given your angels all have lifelink.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
You're spot on for all counts.
- I didn't know Angelic Accord existed - perfect for what I'm trying to achieve.
- I'll grab a copy of Resplendent Angel once she wheels out of standard.
- Moat is a fantastic card. At the moment I'm running Lightmine Field in place, but I definitely agree that Moat is better.
- I have Archangel of Thune in the list. But you are, definitely a beautiful addition.
After some play testing this week, I'll have a better understanding as to what working and what's not...
Angel of Sanctions A reusable kill spell on a well-priced angel body. Angel of the Dire Hour Another angel that acts as a board wipe. Angelic Field Marshal Over sublime archangel. It slots in perfectly the turn before Lyra and gives Lyra (and your other dudes) vigilance. Angel of Condemnation While I rarely recommend this card, the ability to reuse Angel of Sanctions/Angel of Finality/Karmic Guide/Sunblast Angel (or to find those last couple lands with White Orchard/Explorer) is interesting (and on-theme) tech here and this card doubles as a temperamental kill spell. Avacyn,Angel of Hope / Iona, Shield of Emeria Just a couple of cards to work toward as they are hard to beat this as curve-toppers Crib Swap Technically an angel... Mirror Entity and Metallic Mimic Even if it's "cheating", cheap angels are still cheap angels. Descend Upon the Sinful A flavorful boardwipe. Herald of War One of the few actual Angel Tribal Cards. Bit surprised that it isn't here. Linvala, Keeper of Silence A semi-expensive card card to work toward. Low on the curve. Is genuinely awesome.
I really think you should consider magus of the balance. It isn't an angel, but balance is broken and you'll be able to break the synergy more than most since your creatures should rule combat most of the time.
I would also think about marshal's anthem for the late game mass recursion. It's expensive, mana wise, but it is a powerful effect in a color that doesn't usually get mass recursion. It seems better than angelic exaltation.
