Haven't seen many wurm decks so i made a wurm commander. Please throw some advice or feedback. If you want to know why i chose certain cards or left some out just ask.
You have a very high curve but only 33 lands. I think you need to increase your land count to at least 38 if not more.
These seem less than optimal in this build and could probably be replaced with something else:
Plated Slagwurm - Hexproof is great, but spending 7 mana for an 8/8 that can be chumped easily is not. I don't know that I would bother with this.
Roaring Slagwurm - How many artifacts are your opponents running that it is worth to tap any of them on your turn? It doesn't stop them from being untapped, so the usefulness of this card seems suspect. Especially since it is a 6/4 for 7 that also can be chumped easily.
Elfhame Sanctuary & Scouting Trek - Abundance seems much better than these if you really want the effect. I realize these allow you to go a little lower on lands, but you still need to draw these to get there. I don't think they are reliable enough to allow for cutting your lands to where you have them.
Gaea's Anthem - You are already running big creatures. Giving them a relatively small boost won't change a lot.
Primal Rage - Nylea, God of the Hunt seems better here. She pumps creatures if needed, she can be a creature, and she still gives your stuff trample.
Storm Seeker - This seems like it was included for a single player that always has a ton of cards in their hand but it is probably not work with. Your creatures should be doing much more damage than this could.
Sundial of the Infinite - Is there a specific interaction you want this included for? I don't really see anything worth including it except Blade of Selves and I don't know that it is worth it for that.
Tanglesap - I see what you are trying to do here, but your creatures are already pretty big so dying in combat is less of an issue; and saving your own dudes seems to be the main reason to run this particular fog effect as you seem to want to still have them deal their damage. If you really want a fog effect, run Spike Weaver or Constant Mists
As is the nature of this type of "tribe" your Curve is going to be high so you need to make sure you can actually cast your spells. I notice that you have very little true ramp. You have From Beyond which is temporary ramp and Goreclaw which only works while it is around. Skyshroud Claim,, Recross the Paths, and Cultivate are your permanent ramp. Vernal Bloom (though it helps others too) is like Goreclaw but isn't quite as easy to remove so might be decent. I don't like either Goreclaw or Vernal Bloom as ramp (Goreclaw is still good for its other ability though) and I would look at maybe cutting Vernal Bloom for something else.
There are more that I see that could be trimmed/changed, but these are the things that stood out to me right away.
I will definitely take these tips and apply changes. I did wonder if the land count was low i didn't know where it should be. I have a Ghave, Guru of Spores deck with around the same land count/ramp count and it worked so figured it might work here to.... but ghave is smaller mana curve.
Storm Seeker - just in case i played blue or someone managed to kill my commander just wanted them to think twice about it ha. Removing
Sundial of the Infinite- Honestly had no real direction for it. Just never used it and wanted to see what it could do.
Tanglesap- I like those others better. Do you think i need prevention at all? I just figured what you said, plus keep my commander alive.
I will see about taking out some of those cards put in land, and throw in kodama's reach, & maybe some other sorceries that just grab land?Nissa's Pilgrimage is also in here.
If you ever get time i would like to hear those other tweaks. Also you put tribal in quotations, did that mean it isn't technically tribal?
I also thought about putting Soul of New Phyrexia in. Whats you opinion on that?
If you ever get time i would like to hear those other tweaks. Also you put tribal in quotations, did that mean it isn't technically tribal?
The main things to look towards are lowering your curve (which is somewhat hard to do here) and adding ramp. As you mentioned, you are looking to add Kodama's Reach so that is reasonable. And I did miss Nissa's Pilgrimage so that seems fine.
I only put tribal in quotes because you are only running 10 Wurms (after the cuts above) with a bunch of needed support cards. Generally, Tribal decks are more focused on the tribe than this one is. I am not saying it is bad or anything. It was more of a comment about it being a little more broad than most tribal decks.
Things worth watching to see if they can be cut are:
Kindred Summons - you might not have a high enough density of any creature types to make this reliable
Wild Pair - you only have CMC 14, 10, 7, 6, and 8 that have more than one creature to get and only CMC 8 and 14 have 3
Descendant's Path - this is the same reason as Kindred Summons
Kusari-Gama - This just doesn't look that great. Maybe it plays better than it looks, but I don't see this ever really doing what you want.
Wurmcalling - I actually like the idea of this card, but I am not sure how often it will be better than a 4/4 for 8 though. Granted, it is repeatable, but maybe a Hydra is better here? It is outside the theme, but Hydra Broodmaster can be a way to sink a bunch of mana into something.
As for other things, I might look towards Momentous Fall and Greater Good as card draw effects. I don't see a lot of card draw in the deck and these work well with what you are trying to do which is big creatures (essentially). On theme, you have Dirtcowl Wurm which can grow pretty big (it can be chumped but it is cheaper and bigger than others) and Soul Swallower can grow pretty big, it has trample, and is cheap. I don't know if either are that great, but they can be tried anyway.
I also thought about putting Soul of New Phyrexia in. Whats you opinion on that?
Soul is expensive in mana cost, but may be somewhat necessary if your board is constantly getting wrathed. You have Genesis as a form of recursion and maybe Eternal Witness would be good too which allow you to rebuild after a wrath (if it occurs). You also have Heroic Intervention and Eldrazi Monument which helps here too. I think it can be useful but if your board isn't really being wrathed all that often (and, when it is, the other cards are saving it) it might be a bit overkill.
I see what you mean about the tribal. Guess i went off the beaten path ha.
The above mentioned cuts most were for trying to cheat cards onto the field but i guess if there is enough mana ramp i don't need it right? The card draw you mentioned i actually have those cards so i could play test and add in cards as needed.
Kindred Summons- was to flash cards on the field when people attack, so i could attack next turn but i guess its probably not that important being i can block and kill everything ha.
Wild Pair- I was on the fence about also
Descendant's Path - Gotcha
Kusari-Gama - I figured if my creatures had trample the equipped creature would kill off everything that is blocking and my creatures would take no damage while also dealing all their damage to the opponent.... I could be wrong about the way damage is dealt and it not work that way but that was the intention. Do creatures deal damage all at once or one at a time in certain order?
Wurmcalling - I figured it would help with cards like kindred summons and just getting creatures out and went with theme. Otherwise i would have used the 4cmc sorcery that puts 3/3 beast out, and if an opponent still has more creatures the sorcery returns to my hand at no cost. I actually have the hydra broodmaster i could run it and playtest.

-----I also have all but momentous fall i could run these and playtest. I like the idea of the card draw instead of relying on my commander to draw cards.Soul Swallower was in my Ghave deck i like it alot.
Soul of New Phyrexia- I may keep on side if i hit a lot of board wraths. One guy in our play group runs 9 wraths in his deck. Only one i can't figure out how to stop is Merciless eviction. To stop it in my gave deck i run Mycosynth Lattice because if he exiles anything i will punish him with aura shards. I also am "that guy" that destroys lands, but only if people are about to exile all my creatures. Hence the Kamahl, Fist of Krosa for the buff but also land destruction. Which is also a combo that i use Kusari-Gama with.
It will take me a minute to make some of the tweaks. I appreciate the insight. If you think of anything else just throw it out there. I'm sure the deck has a long ways to go before it's complete.
Garruk, Caller of Beasts is good for filling your hand and cheating things into play. And Greater Good just because of the average power of your creatures. I've been finding Mimic Vat gets a lot done against reanimator metas and paired with GG.
Assuming no First or Double Strike, Combat damage is all dealt at once time. Then, Kusari-Gama triggers and deals damage later. Not only is the damage that Kusari-Gama deals not done at the same time, it is too late to be used to save anything (unless your creature has First Strike).
Yeah, exile is a problem. I don't think there is an answer in mono-green. White has Teferi's Protection, Ghostway, and Eerie Interlude but green doesn't really get much.

Green has Temur Sabertooth, which can rescue creatures in response (assuming you have mana). It also has Riftsweeper that can return one card from exile, even if it ends up shuffled in. Erratic Portal could also rescue one creature in response.
Yea temur saber tooth I had in there for that reason board wipes and to protect my commander. Which if it gets sent back to my hand I'm not sure if it makes the commander cost go up I'll have to read on that. Riftsweeper that would be kinda useful with helm of the host on it. Im on my phone so I dont know how to make all the card tags besides typing it and I dont have that much time. I use voice text.

Commander tax only applies when cast from the command zone. If your commander ends up in your hand, you cast it for its normal cmc, and doing so does not add to the commander tax in any way.
Rule 903.8. A player may cast a commander they own from the command zone. A commander cast from the command zone costs an additional 2 for each previous time the player casting it has cast it from the command zone that game. This additional cost is informally known as the “commander tax.”
Deck has been updated with a couple of different changes. I took out genesis wave and left Descendants' Path if it doesn't do well in play test ill take it out and put something else in. I got to thinking about genesis wave and just don't want cards to go in the graveyard which is probably a backwards way to look at it. Probably should look at it like pay 10 mana and get free permanents.
Yea I have kamahl, fist of krosa in all green decks. Its my staple. It sucks that it can still happen andbthe cards be exiled but it is a great preventative, and funny as ***** when they say creatures still and you make them suffer. People frown at land destruction... I think its funny, and only do it when someone tries to get me.
Do you have a lot of token support? Also I feel like Wurmcalling seems like it's expensive; And if tokens are a greater point of focus then Riptide Replicator might be better on the whole. If you have doubling season then charge counters would be doubled on entry to make even bigger wurms.

Sad i just now learned how to quote people and i feel a bit dumb that it took that long but it is what it is...
Not alot of token support. The wurmcalling was theme related "wurms" but it was also going to pair with wild pair (which i think still counts as casting from hand not too sure) The buy back is good for whenever i need to pump multiples out... now that you posted Riptide replicator I might have to give thought of having both in there.
Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma taken out due to earlier suggestins by WizardMN: thank you for basically making the whole deck solid Riptide replicator added because obvious reasons more wurms: i like this card

I only suggested it because the mana involved in Wurmcalling is at a minimum 5, if you want to abuse the spell. It's not uncommon for green to just hemorrhage mana, but it just seemed costly. If you're angling for a competetive list, it's super costly. If you had a way of flashing it in then I could see you using it at an opponent's end step to get value. Too bad you're not able to run R, you could have Mana Echoes and you'd be able to really pull away with Wurmcalling.
