I wanted to make a competitive Grenzo deck but not play a glass-cannon Doomsday strategy. I still wanted the combo, but not have the deck be dead if Doomsday is disrupted. Red and black have a lot of creatures that can control resources, so I thought that was a good starting point. After a lot of testing, this is what the deck has become:
The main combo is Murderous Redcap + Sac Outlet + Metallic Mimic. The rest of the deck is dedicated to finding the combo and disrupting opponents' mana bases.
The deck wins consistently around turn 4 or 5 at similarly-powered tables. It has killed a table on turn 2.
More detailed writeup coming later. This deck can be a sequencing nightmare, just like my Ezuri deck, so it's difficult to explain optimal play. The general rule is don't cast 4CMC+ creatures from your hand.
