Hello, just posting my take on a upcoming commander from the spoilers. Any comments and upgrades would be appreciated. Also one of the things I'm thinking of cramming in if I can figure out how would be either Sorin, Grim Nemesis, or Sorin, Lord of Innistrad. I was thinking of Sorin, Solemn Visitor as a choice as well but I like emblems more since they are perma.
My first thing I would probably cut is most of my Vampires like Blood-Cursed Knight. I would also drop Benalish Marshal, and while his ability seems good that tri-white is going to be just the worst to hit some days. Also drop Cabal Paladin, you're not heavy enough into Historic for it to be that much of a benefit. In addition, I would probably drop some of the lower cost stat sticks. You're going to have a large issue if anyone is going to get any large creature on board.
I would look at getting an Entomb or the new Final Parting. These both will help you bin Haakon earlier.
Consider a Mentor of the Meek. Whilst not a knight on his own, he does pair nicely with the fact that most of your creatures are equal to or less than 2.
Why is Stillmoon Cavalier not in this deck???? He is legit, like one of the best Knights ever. Also, you should be running Mirror Entity. Most tribal decks in white are remiss at not running him.
You should be running more removal. You're in the two best colour removal, and you're running like maybe 7 pieces at most.
Ive discussed this with other people but Stillmoon is one of the best knights ever in single player, in multiplayer he is one heck of a mana sink. To make him fly you pay 1 to boost him on his own you pay 2. After that you may be tapped out and any other answers in your hand are pretty much null. When its in play you have to make commitments in multiplayer that are counter indicated.
You can't have a knight tribal deck without Coat of Arms
NO just NO . I like the concept of coat don't get me wrong, but unless you matchup both types and subtypes you get sooo many memory issues in commander that's its not even FUNNY. That and it heterodynes the table so if somebody is playing a ally deck or somebody else is playing vamps you have to constantly keep checking on board state to understand what p/t your own creatures are per creature. I mean humans are on every card so in general you gain from that, Edger Markov decks are a thing, clerics, solider, spirits, ect the list goes on and that's not counting what is going to come into play.
Looks interesting. Personally there are a few cards that I don't like such as Marauding Knight, Riders of Gavony, Elenda, the dusk rose, Stillmoon, and Phyrexian Crusader. I thought about Marauding Knight a bit when I first was making my list and while in multi player somebody else is most likely going to play white you cant game the system like you can with Crusading Knight + Urborg, Tomb on Yawgmoth or Blanket of Night.
Riders is good but there is no bounce, flicker, or phasing to reset it if you need to get around a chunky butt that isn't of the declared type. Admittedly you can just declare Human and have a catchall but unless your meta is very tribal overall you get less out of it than it seems worth.
Elenda is good, in a Elenda set deck with all sorts of lifegain and sac effects. Otherwise I feel she is kinda kludgy and low powered as just a throw in knight and what you want from her in tokens isn't going to net you as much as you think unless your trading badly in combat.
I've already covered Stillmoon before in that in multiplayer you just don't have enough mana to make him consistently worth the effort. The pro white and black is already built into the deck using lower better bodies. The pay abilities just aren't worth it when you have to pay every turn and the body is small. Just not enough gain.
Phyrexian Crusader, this is one I like myself personally and he is nice as a alternate wincon which I have been considering. Biggest issue is that its literally the only infect card in the deck and unless you have some of the equipment in your list on him he is a big old target clock that WILL draw table agro. Stoneforge Masterwork would be best on him since it allows you to choose who dies in one shot rather than penny packets if you have enough knights on the field.
It might be a meta difference. This is for play in a fairly "battle-cruisery" casual group. There is a lot of mono-white, mardu, naya, esper and selesnya, so things like stillmoon and marauding have more value for me. As far as stillmoon, you slap a sword on him and get him double strike off one of the two creature sources, he is going to wreck people and be protected from just about everything relevant and can even fly over the random things he might not be protected from. He also makes one hell of a blocker when you have mana up. Activating his flying and/or first strike in response to the Concerted Effort trigger will definitely give your team those abilities as well (in addition to his protection from black and white).
I have a lot of anthem effects, and Elendra keys off of power when she dies. A few of those anthems are universal as well, so her tokens will receive the benefit (not to mention if they get to benefit from concerted effort). The lifelink is a nice bonus. Not to mention that your commander is a kill-stick that can feed her trigger.
Riders are good in the fact that should a protection become irrelevant, you can simply kill them with the commander and recast them for something more useful. I play vs vampires, wizards, Zacama and elves a lot. Naming humans is actually pretty effective (even if it does stop you from resetting them the "easy" way).
Phyrexian crusader is actually pretty good with all these anthems, equipment and the routes of getting double strike. He really doesn't take much to start knocking people out. He also makes a good attack deterrent when he snags vigilance from one of the few sources in here, because nothing wants to swing into him. That and, knight tribal is actually pretty obnoxious to attack with all the protections, vigilance and random first strike going around.
I know you tagged the deck as competitive, but, let's face it, knight tribal is never going to compete with decks like food chain.

Finally, you're deck is very creature heavy with little to no way to recover from a board clear. I would add more recursion. Haakon cannot do the job alone. Phyrexian Reclamation, Victimize, Oversold Cemetery, Patriarch's Bidding, and Rise of the Dark Realms, can all give you more sustainability.
