I thought the Kings of Meletis would be the first deck I'd have together for C16, but I just had to build our glint-eyed Ogre when he was confirmed. A bit of fun with Yidris in the most obvious way possible and unapologetically so. No other creatures, no token producers, just death raining down with hard fists turn after turn after turn. A lot of draw, tutors, and ramp, our time effects, and some other goodstuff to round things out. Get Yidris on the field, get him to connect, cast stuff, repeat until you win or die. Broken down into category and mana curve. Enjoy!
If you want to abuse his ability, maybe add more cards that give him doublestrike? Or cards that give additional combat phases. Or even Strionic Resonator to duplicate his cascade trigger.

I forgot about Resonator, I might try that. I'm also considered adding World at War but there really aren't any other add-combats I'd want to run. I tried having a few more double strike providers onboard when I was drafting the list but they had a real tendency of becoming dead cards outside of casting them for cascade, and winning without double strike online is completely feasible. I've been much happier with more draw in their spot and relying on Savage Beating and Fireshrieker for additional punch. Some additional evasion would probably be worthwhile though to make sure I actually get to cascade, something like Trailblazer's Boots or that one equipment that gives flying and haste. Thanks for taking a look!
You may want to consider Nature's Will. Allows you to untaps your lands to do stuff with Cascade while tapping opponent lands to limit disruption. If you add aggravated assault you get infinite combat steps xD.

Bear Umbra synergies pretty well too. He goes from 5 power to 7, which means you only need to hit people 3 times compared to 5 for Commander Damage. It gives him protection and lets you play spells before and after combat.

I always forget about the totem armor on bear umbra! I'll definitely fit it in, good call!
The nice part is that bear umbra triggers on attack, not hit, so you will get your untaps.
It's a terrific card. I've been a fan of it since it was printed, but I think the only decks I've ever ran it in were an old Thrun, the Last Troll list and my Uril deck I hardly ever play, so I'm excited to get it onboard here. I've been tinkering around with the list all day and I'm having a blast. Yidris makes Magic feel like playing Soul Calibur, and that's a feeling I've wanted for a long time. So happy they are printing him.

Molten Psyche: your brew doesn't run quiiite as many wheel effects as what I'm trying out, but Metalcrafted MP can still be an absolute house, even a win condition - it's pretty easy for us to hit wheel into wheel into wheel, so Molten Psyche can easily slam the rest of the table for 20+ damage if not end the game.
Dramatic Reversal: Mana rocks and Strionic Resonator, yo. This is also handy by being much cheaper than the resources it can generate - it might not cascade into much of anything, but it's perfect for dropping in between big CMC cascade-fodder to keep your chains going.

Thanks for stopping in! Your brew sounds interesting, do you have a list up? I'm assuming your main win is going to be Tendrils, any other stormers? I've thought about Mind's Desire myself from time to time. Reversal was also considered when I was doing the initial building but I wasn't sure if I would get enough bang out of it. I think you're right though, its first on the list for the next round of changes.
Another card I remembered last night that I brought onboard was The Great Aurora. Are you running it, or have you any experience with it? It seems like it should be quite potent just for me, probably even more so in a storm-focused build build. Good luck with it!

Nah, no list up on Salvation right now - I haven't updated the forums with any of my stuff in a while, planning on doing some write-ups and updating old threads this month, though.
I'm assuming your main win is going to be Tendrils, any other stormers? I've thought about Mind's Desire myself from time to time.
I actually find myself not actually winning with Tendrils that often, though it is a strong contender - the thing that most often ends up killing a table is either Aetherflux Reservoir or Molten Psyche after a chain of wild over-the-top multi-cascades into wheels and untaps and so on. Mind's Desire is an absolutely insane card for this build, and can absolutely close games. I'm often dropping it around Storm 8, then seeing it later in the same chain at 20+. I would recommend giving it a shot, having a big chunk of your spells reserved to free-cast on your own timing for the rest of the turn can really do work for fixing chains that have fizzled out or locking in a closing play.
The other stormers I'm running are Grapeshot (extra damage in, sometimes kills players, can clean a cluttered board), Empty the Warrens, and Hunting Pack (both token makers are good for chumps and threats, but I might swap them soon for other tech).

I've passed on that one, as I'm also running Empty the Warrens and Hunting Pack for chumps and threat presence if I have to pass the turn after connecting with Yidris - I'm often at a permanent count that would auto-deck me if I play The Great Aurora.
Something else I recommend looking at is a small cipher suite. Mine is set up as Hidden Strings, Stolen Identity, and Whispering Madness - getting extra storm count and fat, fat value off of doing the thing we want to do anyway (hit players with Yidris) is pretty rewarding.

If you do put something up, let me know. Otherwise, feel free to kick around ideas here, the more discussion and brainstorming, the better for all. As you decribe it below, the deck sounds like a lot of fun to play. I used to run Melek as storm with Psyche as one of the primary wins (though Epic Experiment was the backbone of that brew).

Ah, Resevoir! Now that is another card I've been looking for an excuse to play. Good to hear about Desire, I will also look to get that into the list. I'm considering finding space for some more rocks to go with Dramatic Reversal and Mystic Retrieval should probably be onboard as well.

Ouch. Yeah, I can see how you'd like to avoid that. If you drop the token producers like you mentioned, then give it a go. Cipher is another interesting avenue I totally forgot about. I've been considering a with-creatures build as well to complement this one (my inner-Timmy feels he's missing out not getting to drop Maelstrom Wanderer for triple+ cascade) and cipher should be a shoe-in there while I play with adding some here. Madness and Strings in particular intrigue me. Thanks for all the input, and like I said, don't be a stranger to the thread!
If you go with creatures, you can toss in a Mulldrifter to draw 2, cascade for 4, all at 3 mana. Similar deal with Shriekmaw and other interesting Evoke creatures.
Is Dream Halls and Show and Tell a good addition here? You have some dangerous enchantments that'd put you on an edge, and you can discard cheap spells to cast expensive ones via Dream Halls.

Both would put in work, I like Halls in the build a lot more than Show personally, at least in that kind of 'grand scope' way but that's just me. I will say, this build is no longer current, I'm adding creatures just for starters, but the same principle of winning via time-spam will remain intact. I'll put both of these in the consideration pile and see where the chips fall. Hopefully, I'll have a revised list up soon.
Your deck looks sick. have you thought about dictate of the Twin gods for double damage or mass mutiny to possible steal away the one creature from each opponent that is getting in your way of a win? would primeval bounty or praetor's counsel be any good for when you go off?
Bring to light is bad, because if we cascade into it, no mana is paid for converge is cast, which means things that we could find are like any of the pacts or Tormod's Crypt.
How about Contigency Plan? We would get to look into our deck for a small distance.

Formerly presumed dead, but also formerly presumed alive.

So if Im reading this right, that means no ancestral vision or wheel of fate? I think you can IF you cascade into it. Cascading from it would be sweet.

An issue I can see is that due to this deck being four colors (mostly blue though), Dream Halls can be a little clunky at times and help your opponents more if their decks have less colors. One reason I suggested Show and Tell was because I tested your deck a few nights ago and I'm still reveling in the ecstasy of having Omniscience in play while cascading
On another note, Temporal Cascade is good when Omniscience is in play (of course) but it's noticeably more useless compare to other "time" cards when it's not, since the board isn't always in one's favor. That said, might as well try Time Reversal for similar effect, it may be a smaller cascade but I personally prefer having extra mana to cast more spells.
Some of my favorite cascade moments are actually 4cc or below, and 1cc or below, because the former has a good chance of getting a second combat phase, equipment, and rocks, while the latter gets mana or cards consistently. Another reason to consider Time Reversal over Temporal Cascade.

Scratch what I said about the pacts: I forgot they say they have color. You can only get 0 CMC Colorless cards if you cascade into Bring to light, but if we played it instead of cascading into it, we could find a creature/instant/sorcery with CMC 4 or less to dig for, and then cast.

Only thing I read is CMC equal to colours paid.
So 0 colour paid = 0 cmc no colour restriction. So yes wheel of fate and ancestral vision. Acts as a 1 drop if cascaded into. And you can get cmc 5 with birds ect with new colour rules. So time warps. So yes its gonna rock.

Scratch what I said about the pacts: I forgot they say they have color. You can only get 0 CMC Colorless cards if you cascade into Bring to light, but if we played it instead of cascading into it, we could find a creature/instant/sorcery with CMC 4 or less to dig for, and then cast.
I hold the job of resurrecting dead threads.
Formerly presumed dead, but also formerly presumed alive.
So 0 colour paid = 0 cmc no colour restriction. So yes wheel of fate and ancestral vision. Acts as a 1 drop if cascaded into. And you can get cmc 5 with birds ect with new colour rules. So time warps. So yes its gonna rock.
