Yeah, Prismatic Vista is definitely an easy include for the deck. We can use all the fetches we can get.
I feel like Blast Zone could be good just as a catch-all land. Getting it up to 3 counters to kill Animar, Soul of Elements or something seems good. We can even copy it with Thespian's Stage to blow up all tokens and 0-cost stuff. It's a bit on the slow side, but definitely still want to try it out.
I was immediately excited about it, but the more I think about it I'm not so sure anymore. It has summoning sickness, it takes two mana to activate, and the land you get comes into play tapped.
What do you think of Field of the Dead? Seems very easy to get 7 different lands in play, and pooping 2/2s constantly for every land drop can add up quick in this deck.
Lotus Field seems pretty strong for our deck, getting rid of the biggest drawback of Lotus Vale of requiring untapped lands. And it has Hexproof. Seems sweet!
Cryptic Caves is probably not good enough for our deck, though I could see it being a powerful card in other Commander lists.
I’ve been a patron of the CMDR Central podcast and I had them do a deck tech of my list. Have a listen if you’re interested. I didn’t agree with all changes they suggested, but the outside feedback was pretty nice.
So I got some testing in with Cryptic Caves and I have to say I really like it. The deck always feels good when you have a crucible + exploration effect in play and you loop fetch lands and Cryptic Caves feels just as good except it refills your hand instead of ramping you up. It won't see heavy use in every game, but it's never dead. I love having a draw effect stapled on to a land considering how our deck is designed to abuse lands.
Oh that's great, maybe I'll pick up a copy and try it out sometime. Thanks for the tip. I find it really hard to make cuts in my land base now, though. I feel like I've hit the limit on my non-basic land count. I've even been cutting a bit into my non-lands to make room...
I played Blast Zone for a couple games and took it right out again. It's just too much work to get it going and it often just sits in play as a colourless land that might as well have been a forest a lot of the time.
Field of the Dead, on the other hand, is amazing. The sheer number of bodies it makes for free once you have an engine going is really incredible. I've since cut to 2 Snow-Covered Forests and gone back to the non-snow basics to have different named basics, which can be really great with something like Evolving Wilds, making 2 zombies. Even as few as 5-7 zombies can really turn a game around with very little investment in the mana base.
Lotus Field has also been a great performer. getting the double sac without casting a spell is great, Hexproof has been relevant (to my surprise), it gives me the green sources I've desperately been craving... I even had a game where I played it and immediately untapped it with Garruk Wildspeaker to ramp myself up 6 mana in a turn.
Good to know about Blast Zone. I slotted it in, but I have yet to see it in a game. Maybe I'll cut it for Field of the Dead. I try to run as few etb tapped lands as possible, but if I net a zombie the turn it comes into play then it's probably worth it. And good idea switching snow covered to regular basics. I'm only running snow covered to activate Mouth of Ronom so I'll probably just do a 50/50 split to diversify for Field of the Dead.
I ran Lotus Vale in the past, but ended up cutting it. Maybe I'll drop Hickory Woodlot to give Lotus Field a shot. I won't have to worry about it getting strip mined immediately and it gives me the sacrifice that I ran Woodlot for anyway.
How do you feel about Fabled Passage? This card obviously deserves a home in the 99, but are you upgrading a Terramorphic Expanse or Evolving Wilds or are you replacing a different utility land?
Also, Return of the Wildspeaker seems great. I know I’m cutting Shamanic Revelation for it. The ability for a nearly guaranteed 5 cards at instant speed vs the uncertainty that Revelation gives is worth it on its own in my opinion. The ability to pump the team is just icing on the cake.

i've been playing titania for about 2 years now and my plan with fabled passage is to drop panoramas for it. the deck has gotten a lot of love in recent sets and the panoramas were one of the last holdouts for me but i think its time to let them go. at least, that's my plan with it, dunno about the op. obviously its one card and i can't drop all the panormas for 1 card and still hit 100, so the others will just become basics. most of the time i'm running out of forests to tutor for in a game anyway.
i was plotting to do the same with return of the wildspeaker, replacing shamanic revelation that is, i'm a little back and forth so it'll be one of those things i test for a bit and see how it plays out. revelation is nice because sometimes i need to draw 20 to be able to swing out.. but sometimes its also a total dead card. this new one kind of splits the difference, and can seal the deal with its other option.
Ah nice. I'm not running the panoramas so that isn't an option for me, but I did end up cutting Blast Zone. @Upkeep had mentioned he was pulling it because it was too slow to set up and I'm finding the same.
