Holy ***** that modern deck. I love it. Makes me want to play modern again (I love prison as an archetype, play bridges and moons in modern right now and play Pox in Legacy). How good would you say it is?
But yeah rogerandover is right, we can't do the LD thing here really. You can try with Plow Under (or Stunted Growth for another similar effect, and also Fallow Earth) and Eternal Witness loops, but you'll draw a lot of hate (LD is probably the most hated thing EDH) and you won't be able actually lock anyone until you get to 1v1, since in multiplayer that thing is much harder to do. We're all about fog-lock, since it is more global
If you like the bouncing-creatures like wildebeast, I think toctheyounger has a thread around here with a more creature-focused list that ran them, though not sure he still runs them now
For the spoilers, Kamahl's Druidic Vow seems great. Big mana for a ton of permanents which is also what we have tons of. Multani, Yavimaya's avatar is kind of cool as a win condition that can recur. I agree on Broken Bond being solid, though I'm a sucker for instants and I think split second is better so I'd rather play Krosan Grip... Sylvan Awakening is great as a fog of sorts than can also make a ton of damage. I'm into it.
Roger, did you switch to our Queen and Savior Nissa? I thought you were still on the Kamahl plan
How good is it...well, it got 3rd at an SCG, but I must admit it is a bit inconsistent at times, as so much of the deck is devoted to the mana ramp package, and it makes for awful topdecks. But if you know what to mull for, you can do some serious work with it, with a bit of topdeck luck. Its gets really good with Trinisphere out, especially if you can keep them under 3 lands.
I'm interested in EDH for sure, just don't really know anyone who plays it around here. I'll have to build something and force some people into it.

I'm not sold on Kamahl's Druidic Vow. I feel like most of the time it's just a worse Genesis Wave, which already isn't making the cut, so I'm not sure why it would. I definitely agree with you on Broken Bond, though it could be nice as a way to slow down your opponents who are off to a fast start while still ramping. Sylvan Awakening seems cool, but I'm unsure how detrimental it would be needing to hold up additional lands in order to actually be able to use it as a fog. To be fair, I've never actually played with the deck, so that could fit the playstyle just fine.

I do still run it, although the list looks a lot different to this list, and probably looks a lot different to where it started. It's running really, really well though. Once I have Nissa flipped, there's so many synergies within the list that its become really hard to stop. It doesn't have answers for everything, but it's a value machine for sure. I'm pretty specific in the bouncingcreatures I run, but Cloudstone Curio is my not-so-secret bounce tech for extra triggers.
Roger, did you switch to our Queen and Savior Nissa? I thought you were still on the Kamahl plan
Yeah, I did make the switch. A bit painful, but I think Nissa is overall better. It always felt a bit clunky to animate and attack with your lands. First of, it's really vunerable, there's some math to it thats hard to adjust in a multiplayer setting. Nissa it's more simple. You pseudo-ramp and draw cards, which is just really good, when your wincons are Ifh-Bíff Efreet, Squallmonger and Squall Line. Well, sometimes your opponents also fold
There havn't been much changes for my deck. Just one. I've added another wincon, the recurable beatstick Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar. He gets massive, and I play enough extra-land-per-turn to mitigate his return-clause. I havn't played much with this deck, but he did win me a game.
Not much from the newer sets for you either, I see. Have you thought about running land-untappers, since you play with Aura-ramp? Also, how have Dosan been for you? I couldn't imagine not having the opportunity to cast instants or anythingelse. But I do also run a couple more instants then you.
Also, Runic Armasaur has it been any good? The draweffect is most welcome, but I have been hesitantly to add it.
Both Dosan and Runic Armasaur are new additions to the deck, and I haven't had a chance to thoroughly test them.
I understand your hesitation to play Dosan... It's why I don't run City of Solitude.... But I think that still being able to activate abilities, like Spike Weaver, means that he COULD be useful. Time will ultimately tell.
What are your thoughts on my addition of Primalcrux? I haven't been able to test it yet, but since I am on a heavy Devotion-friendly build, I figure he would be a great enabler and beater.

Looking forward to hear your experience on Dosan and the Armasaur. I mean, the dino looks nice, but I fear it can be a dead card or that the opponents will just play around it until it can be removed.
I recently added a big fattie in Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar, which I think is overall better then Primalcrux. They cost the same, but lands are harder to get rid off and Multani can recur himself which will win games, especially since we are a control deck. The lands you have to return are easily mitigated by the additional lands per turn stuff we got in G. And then I tend to ramp the ***** out of stuff, so he gets big real fast
I was considering him as well, but haven't acquired one yet... Just ordered him though because he does seem like a much better choice! It also occurred to me that Multani allows us to "reset" the count on our Glacial Chasm by bouncing it to hand, so he's a shoe-in for sure now!
I've been running Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar in my Nissa build, too. He's super strong. Thus far when I've cast him, he's never been less than a 20/20, he can help with landfall triggers and the aforementioned Glacial Chasm, and over and above Primalcrux, he also has reach. Pretty valuable for mono green.
Thanks roger! It took a bit of work, but the deck is playing really well at the moment. The more I play it the more I enjoy it, and there are a ton of subtle interactions that I’m still working out. I have to say it’s teaching me a lot about optimizing my lines of play.
I really want to fit in Myth Unbound as I think it would really synergize with Nissa. What does everyone think?
Myth Unbound is definitely one of the most interesting green cards to come out of CMD18. And I think it might actually be pretty good with Nissa. When she flips, she tends to be targeted (which I'm pretty okay with, since she'll generate advantage no matter if she lives or dies), so getting both a card and reducing of her cost, seems really good.
Decent cuts, I'd say. I'm not a fan of hate-cards, though they can do serious harm. Noxious Revival is a super sweet card. It's super flexible, instant-speed and free. Can mess up with others topdeck aswell. I wouldn't cut Praetor's Counsel myself, since it's one of the cards that alone has won me most games.
But do you think that it's worthwhile adding Archetype of Endurance? It seems a bit costly, but having additional hexproof and removing hexproof from other people's stuff seems decent. If so, what else would you consider cutting from my list?

Sure, it's a good creature, but it does cost 8. Besides that, I don't target other creatures that much, so hexproof on opponents havn't been a problem as I recall. I like Asceticism better. Even with hexproof, creatures are just more fragile.
Night Soil seems like a meta call, but I can understand it. I also love that name. You know, because night soil is essentially a euphemism for excrement.
Regarding Lignify, I checked the original list, and there’s no indication of Song of the Dryads. Has this been playtested? I like both cards, and I’ve been tempted to add Lignify to my list, but song is a straight up hoser a lot of the time. It comes highly recommended from me. I put it above Lignify only because there are fewer ways for other decks to interact with a land than a 0/4 creature. If it’s your commander, there’s always a chance of saccing a treefolk, whereas not as many people run any sort of land destruction.
Yeah, I play Song of the Dryads myself, and that card is sweet. Having the opportunity to deal with everything in mono-G is very welcomed! As you say, it can take out a proplematic commander for a whole game.
As for grave-hate, I'll mostly rely on Scavenging Ooze, but I do also have Primal Command. The Ooze is easier to totur for, then an enchantment and hits every type, not just creatures.
I play Song of the Dryad. It is without a doubt an essential Green card. Full stop. Regarding Night Soil, I always get a little giggle out of it too for the same double meaning. I like Scavenging Ooze, but am trying to focus on Enchantments due to most decks' near complete inability to handle Enchantments in general.

Myth Unbound HOLY ***** it's great with Miss Nissa! Did you know that when she flips, you can choose to exile her through the Command Zone, then come out as a Walker, which draws you a card. It makes her so much stronger! It's incredibly good, almost as if it was designed with her in mind!
