I have been theorycrafting this deck for a little bit now, as I own most if these cards and I keep going back and forth on what I want to do exactly.
Well, I finally settled on a token deck, but more control then aggro ramp combo. While it certainly still has these aspects, i want to focus on the control aspect, mostly through life gain. There is also quite the land package.
I am a little concerned that I am not aware of a lot of the good cards for token control, and I will be relying too heavily on too few pieces (i.e. Glare of Subdual, Aura Shards). I am looking for some help in seeing all of what's out there, while not having stax components. Thanks for all of your help!!

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with the life gain? With decks like Karlov is makes sense to go all lifegain because you benefit from the triggers, but all by spending the gained like on things like Necropotence.
Gaining life just to delay being killed means little typically because someone will most likely combo off or kill you with commander damage.
In general, I like Freyalise in my green token decks to pump out little token dorks while also providing removal. I would cut Essence of the Wild. Unless you constantly produce swarms of tokens after its out, it seems overcosted and shut down utility creatures you may draw. Beastmaster Ascension does a better job of pumping your creatures new and old. Also, one of my new favorite token makers Righteous Confluence has a good variety of useful abilities for this deck.

My meta is very odd, its mostly big battleship decks with no real combos. Infinite, while not quite looked bad upon, is just something we havent been big into. And in terms of commander damage, that's usually me I have delaying shield in here which will negate all commander damage, but most of the decks ill play against just like to win with a bunch of creatures or a large debt to the deathless. With a large pool of life, i usually dont get targeted early and can survive a larger burn spell. If i were to take this deck out of the small group i usually play with, i would definitely not add the seeming random life gain all over.
I saw Phyrexian Processor and passed over it, is it really that powerful? im afraid that it just wont get a lot of use, but maybe i am in the wrong.
Yeah ill have to get my hands on a freyalise. I have always wanted Essence of the wild to work, but you are right, something like beastmaster's ascension would be better.
Not sure how i feel about Righteous Confluence yet. Ill have to give it a second look

It's one of the best cards you can draw against decks looking to run you over with a non-infinite number of creatures (which sounds like the majority of your meta). It's somewhat lackluster early on, though. You really want to be able to drop it and activate it on the same turn so your opponents can't destroy it before you get the life you paid back.
I would certainly include it over Builder's Blessing, personally. Try it out and see how you like it.

Depends which one you mean. Biorhythm does it, but is banned in EDH. Shaman of Forgotten Ways does it and doubles as a mana dork which is nice, but it's an expensive ability to utilize and instant speed removal Cyclonic Rift could be brutal.

oh yeah, how could i forget. I was thinking about Biorhythm, but completely skipped my mind that it was banned. Shaman of Forgotten Ways wouldnt warrant a slot imo, 11 mana is a bit too much. Maybe if i was more focused on ramp, but thats something I have very little of at the moment.

You should be running at least:
Possibly any of the following: Solemn Simulacrum (this is debatable with green, but since you aren't mono green, I still recommend him. He's good fixing for if you get stuck drawing only white sources and what not.) Kodama's Reach/Cultivate ramps 1 land, and keeps 1 land ready to play this turn or next. Farseek/Skyshroud Claim - Generic ramp Earthcraft - not exactly 'ramp', but it keeps mana flowing. Especially in a token deck.
Im still 4 cards over at the minute, but i feel a lot better with this list. I want to try and stay away from the token buffing, the buffers that are in also help with another category with the exception of Beastmaster Ascension. definitely want more ways to control the board with tokens.

If you want to keep the lifegain theme up, add things like Archangel of Thune and Phyrexian Processor to get value from it.
