I have no idea why I put Sphinx-Bone Wand in here. ImpulseFoil (FTV) went in. Debating Skywise Teachings for back-up blockers and things to sacrifice to Pact/Edict effects.
I'm looking at building a Narset deck but it might require having to take apart my Sydri deck for all the sweet, expensive artifact ramp cards and am very hesitant since Esper is my favourite three colour combo.
I also wonder why so few Narset decks seem to run at least a few of the Sword of X and Y; I'm sure there's a reason but I don't get it.

I haven't actually played a game in years... In the mean time I just build thematic decks that tell a story...
What expensive artifact ramp cards are you thinking about? Mana Crypt is one of the only things I can think of. Which reminds me, Basalt Monolith should go in here...
My build is more thematic, and Narset's not the kind of monk to run around with swords methinks. Generally speaking I would imagine budget is one of the main reasons, at least for UR and WB. For WB, the life gain is probably eclipsed by WR and most Narset decks are probably going to be creature-light if not creature-less. BG and WR would be the best methinks. Discard and untapping your lands for countermagic, and hopefully greatly speeding up the clock, respectively. Also, if you draw a sword early, you're either playing it and not ramping, therefore delaying Narset hitting the battlefield, or you're holding onto it until Narset does hit the field, at which point it costs 5 mana to play and equip. Stoneforge, etc could be answers, yes, etc.

Contrary to popular belief, a lot of the Swords aren't that amazing in EDH. However, a lot of stronger Narset builds do run sword of feast and famine for its obvious infinite combo with Aggravated Assault

In that price range my priorities are the original Dual lands, lol.
Swapping out either Deflecting Palm or Aqueous Form for Basalt Monolith.
